You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact info@petadoptionservices.org for more information about this pet. Current on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. Current on flea preventative and heartworm preventative.  This pet adoption has additional requirements and considerations due to breed and age: For a puppy under 6 months old, please note that we are looking for homes where someone is home frequently, or that arrangements have been made for someone to come home at least once during the day to allow the dog to go out for a potty break. Puppies should remain socialized to other dogs in their formative stages, so homes that can provide exposure to fully vaccinated and healthy well-behaved adult dogs is strongly preferred. A fenced yard is required due to this puppy's age and need for further vaccinations prior to being exposed to areas where stray dogs may have access. The breed of this puppy is not known, therefore a mix of what is considered restricted breeds by homeowners insurance, landlords, and military housing may be present, and may become obvious in appearance as the puppy matures into adulthood. If this is a concern, please consider a more mature dog where the appearance of the breed is more obvious.  It is the applicant's responsibility to know the terms of their homeowner's insurance prior to applying.  Due to unknown breeding, this puppy may be more or less than the estimated weight range listed here. Interested families should be open to a varied weight range, and consider both in terms of housing restrictions and personal preference. Landlords may have breed and weight restrictions. It is the responsibility of renters to have spoken with their landlord and reviewed their lease agreement and to have this information available for the application.  *Local adoptions (within 1 hour of New Orleans). We do NOT ship animals. Home check is required, therefore, we will be delivering this dog to your home. If you have read the information in the links provided above and think that this dog is a fit for your lifestyle and home, please completed a   Dog Adoption Application Our adoptions include a foster period of 4-6 weeks so that you can be sure that this pet is a good fit without any pressure, and we are available to answer any behavior or training questions during that time (and beyond, if you wish). Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 24, 2024, 12:56 pm

Story
Meet Slink aka Slinker Dinker Doo. Slink is my personal dog's BFF. Slink has been with us since he was a wee puppy back in 3/19, except for a brief stint in a home from 4/19 - 11/19. He wasn't properly trained as a puppy and was returned for being...well...and untrained puppy. As a result, he has some barrier aggression and a squirrel prey drive that is unmatched. He LOVES humans. He is goofy and loves to snuggle. He is a staff FAVORITE and has greeted us with a smile over the last 967 morning that he has been with us. It is time for Slink to go a forever home. That perfect home involves someone who likes to cuddle on the couch and has experience with handling a strong dog. Matt with K9 State of Mind is working with him and I will personally pay to continue these sessions post adoption to ensure he has the best chance of succeeding in his new life. Dinker Doo is up to date on shots, neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, house/crate trained and great on a leash (until a squirrel runs in his field of vision). If interested in giving our longest term rescue resident a permanent home, fill out the app at www.zeusrescues.org. I will forever be in your debt. Michelle
