She is a strong puller on leash, so she will need someone willing to work with her on her leash manners.Scalene can be choosy about her dog friends and would do best with an easy-going male dog. She is currently recovering from a flea allergy. She has been treated for fleas, and the hair she lost from the allergy should grow back with time.

Hello, Apollo is a 6 yr. old handsome, loveable boy. He is house trained and kennel trained. He does not get on furniture. He is a bit of a barker, so is a great watch dog. Apollo has been raised with 2 other dogs and 2 cats. He has been around lots of other dogs as well,but it does take him a bit to get acquainted with other large male dogs. He has a lot of energy so needs to be able to go outside and run. He loves to fetch and play with toys, especially balls. Apollo is super friendly and great with all people, however, he is easily exciteable and is not always aware of his size so is not great around young children (5 yrs and younger). He is not good with personal space, so will sometimes knock over or run into small ones (however, he does not jump on them or anyone else). My daughter is pregnant with twins and I am not comfortable having Apollo around them once they are born. He would never be mean or bite, but in his excitement, I worry an accident may happen.

While we don’t know who the parents are, one thing we can all agree on is that these pups are likely to grow into big dogs — and they’ll need a home prepared for everything that comes with raising a large, active puppy. That means keeping them safe and appropriately managed through their mouthy stages of development, while providing plenty of exercise, outdoor time, enrichment, and positive outlets for all that growing-body energy. Continued training will also be important, including leash skills, crate training, potty training, and everyday manners. These pups are going to need families who are ready to be patient, consistent, and active. With the right structure, training, and plenty of opportunities to explore and burn energy, they have everything they need to grow into wonderful, confident adult dogs. 💛🐶 • Around 3 months old • Currently 18 lbs. and growing! • Good with kids, dogs and cats • Adoption fee: $400 This dog is currently housed at our shelter. If you are interested, please come in at your earliest availability during our open hours—no appointment necessary. We do same-day adoptions, do not hold dogs, and work on a first-come, first-served basis as long as it is an excellent fit for both parties. If you have questions or want to possibly schedule an appointment on one of our closed days, you may email dogs@adoptapetfenton.com. Adoption fees include spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccines, deworming, preventatives, heartworm testing (if age-appropriate), microchip, and dental cleaning if needed. Future veterinary care will be the adopter’s responsibility.
