Story
Meet Rocky! Rocky came to us after his owners could no longer care for him so he is now searching for a new forever home! Rocky is a Lab/Mastiff mix that only about 1 year old and weighs about 85 pounds! Rocky has lots of love and energy and would love to find a family to love him. Rocky is housebroken and would do best with older kids. Rocky gets quite excited and no fault of his own may knock over small children by accident. Rocky would do best in a home without cats but does good with other dogs. We do require a dog intro with any future k-9 siblings to make sure everyone gets along. Rocky is up to date in his vaccinations, dewormed, flea treated, heartworm tested negative, microchipped & neutered! If you are interested in giving Rocky a forever home please contact the shelter directly at 989-831-7302 to set up an appointment! *All adoptions are done by appointment only*

Story
Sequoia was named after the national parks —but her name does not reflect her size. She’s a five-month-old lab mix who weighs about 22 pounds. Her alias is Rocket, because she loves to launch herself into your lap without warning. Her petite features will melt your heart. Chillin’ is the name of the game for this pup who is content to entertain herself, but her favorite place to be is in your lap. She loves new people and does fine on her own or with other dogs. Sequoia is crate trained and working hard on potty training. She knows basic commands, walks well on a leash, and sleeps in her crate through the night without complaint. Car rides are fun for her, especially if ice cream is involved. Sequoia is current on her vaccines and will be microchipped and spayed before heading to her forever home! Her adoption fee is $300 and you can apply to love her forever at www.rescueofhope.com/adopt/ ##2086737##

Story
Hello, I'm Nessa. I'm the quiet type, preferring a cozy corner to a bustling park. I'm smart, too. I've figured out the routines around here, knowing when it's time for meals and walks. I may be shy, but give me a little time and I'll warm up to you. I'm not one for loud noises or sudden movements. I like peace and calm, and I bring that with me wherever I go. I'm mellow, not the sort to get worked up over squirrels or the mailman. I'd love a home where I can just be me, in all my introverted glory. Why should you adopt me? Because every home needs a quiet, calming presence. That's me. I'll be your steady companion, your silent confidante, your peaceful sanctuary in a world that's often too loud and too fast. Adopt me, and let's enjoy the quiet together.

Story
Hello there, I'm Luna! I found my way into the shelter after a hilarious misadventure. I'm a ball of energy and love to play! My curiosity knows no bounds, and I'm always up for a good puzzle. My comedic timing is impeccable, if I do say so myself. I'm the perfect companion for someone looking for a laugh, a cuddle, and a partner in crime. So, why not let this squirrel-chasing, heart-stealing girl be your forever friend?

Story
Maggie's story it is part of a bonded pair with her brother Chubbs (story posted separately) to be kept together for rehoming. Please keep adoption inquires within 120 miles of Grand Rapids, MI. Maggie was whelped October 13, 2016 in San Diego, CA and brought to Middleville, MI in December of that year. She is AKC registered. She had a great life, living on 18 acres with pastures to explore and wildlife to chase; her space surrounded by an underground fence, so she is accustomed to knowing property boundaries. Maggie is very friendly, loving her human and dog visitors. Her household included two young children and a cat, whom she loved and played with very well. Maggie is sweet-natured, accustomed to sleeping in a crate, is spayed, weighs 95 lbs, has had regular vet visits and meds, and is micro-chipped. Complete vet and AKC records are available. Maggie (with brother Chubbs) needs a loving family to care for her in the adult years, with space where she can run, explore, and play.
