Story
Meet Rocco! ✈️🐾 From the beaches of Puerto Rico to the snowy trails of Minnesota, this adventurous pup is on a mission to find his forever home! Rocco is an energetic dog with a big heart and an even bigger zest for life. He’s always ready to go for a walk, explore new sights, and soak up every bit of love and attention you have to give. Whether it’s a hike in the woods or just a jaunt around the neighborhood, Rocco is your go-to walking buddy. This sweet boy has already overcome a big hurdle—he was treated for heartworm and came through like a champ! To keep him healthy, Rocco will need to be rechecked for heartworms in September to ensure there are no new or residual worms after treatment, and he will also need to stay on monthly heartworm preventatives for life, but he doesn’t let that slow him down one bit. Rocco is looking for a home with an active person or family who will embrace his playful spirit and keep him moving. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a heart full of gratitude and paws ready for adventure, Rocco might just be your perfect match. Let’s help this island boy find his Minnesota happily ever after! 💙

Story
This sweet young black Lab/ hound mix has a heart as big as his paws. After spending several days on the run, Frank was finally rescued — and he hasn’t stopped wagging his tail since. Frank is friendly, affectionate, and loves making new dog friends. He’s playful but gentle, with a calm presence that makes him a joy to be around. He’s still adjusting to life indoors and will thrive with someone who can give him patience, love, and a little guidance as he continues to settle in. 🐾 Dog-friendly 🐾 No cats, please 🐾 Sweet, resilient, and ready for his forever home Frank’s been through a lot, but he’s full of hope and ready for his second chance. Could you be the one to give it to him? He would love to attend puppy classes. He does have a hound bark if you have shared walls. Adoption fee is $350+ tax; please apply at www.campcompanion.org

Story
This beautiful girl spent the first part of her life as a mama dog in a puppy mill. Because of that, she’s very shy and still learning that the world can be a safe, loving place. New people, new noises, and even other dogs can be overwhelming for her—but she’s trying, every day. She’s got that classic Lab sweetness buried under her timid exterior, and with time, patience, and a calm environment, we know she’ll blossom into the gentle, loving dog she was always meant to be. The ideal home for her would be quiet and stable, with a securely fenced yard and another calm, confident dog who can help show her the ropes. High-energy homes or high-strung dogs will likely be too much for her right now. But if you’re someone with a big heart and the patience to help her feel safe, she’ll reward you with a quiet kind of love that’s deeply special. Mango is not leash trained. Adoption fee is $350 plus tax. Apply at campcompanion.org

Story
We bought this beautiful boy as a puppy from a breeder in northern Minnesota. He is 4 years old (5/12/20). He comes from a long line of field/hunting dogs, but we never trained him to be one. Asher is a purebred but not registered with the AKC, because we never intended to breed him. This boy needs room to run. We are hoping to find someone with some land. He has never shown any signs of aggression towards dogs or kids/people. He is high energy but not destructive in any way. He doesn’t like going to the groomer, so experience in nail clipping would be a huge bonus for Asher. He is very trainable. We have only taught him the very basics. He has been a great member of our family in his 4 years with us. Sadly, our new baby girl (human) has been coughing and sneezing, pretty much since we brought her home. We care about Asher too much to make him an outside dog, so we are looking to find him a better life. He comes with every dog item we have: crate, harness, bowls, collars, etc.

Story
Saison didn’t choose the hard life she’s had—but she’s faced every challenge with quiet grace and a gentle heart. This sweet girl wandered onto a stranger’s property, hungry, alone, and heavily pregnant. Just days later, she gave birth to nine puppies out in the middle of nowhere. While the couple gave her a place to stay, concerns about their chickens meant Saison and her babies were confined to an outdoor kennel with only a doghouse for shelter. Then came the storms—tornadoes, flooding, and relentless rain. The family grew overwhelmed and began talking about dumping Saison and her litter. That’s when we stepped in. Now safe in rescue, Saison is finally getting the care and comfort she’s always deserved. Despite everything she’s been through, she’s shown us signs that she may have once been someone’s pet. She walks nicely on a leash, hops right into the car, is crate trained and seems to be housebroken. Saison also loves cuddling up in bed with her humans. She’s great with kids, social with most other dogs, and adores people. We recently scheduled her spay, and as part of her routine vetting, ran a heartworm test—something we always hope is negative. But this time, we weren’t so lucky. Saison is heartworm positive. Saison is going through her treatment, something we will continue to financially cover. We would love for her to find her forever home and we are hoping if the right person or family comes along, they'd be willing to help her through treatment and let her get comfortable in her forever home. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and resilient companion, Saison might just be your perfect match. She’s ready to trade storms for sunshine and finally find a home where she’s cherished forever.
