Story
Meet Rocco! ✈️🐾 From the beaches of Puerto Rico to the snowy trails of Minnesota, this adventurous pup is on a mission to find his forever home! Rocco is an energetic dog with a big heart and an even bigger zest for life. He’s always ready to go for a walk, explore new sights, and soak up every bit of love and attention you have to give. Whether it’s a hike in the woods or just a jaunt around the neighborhood, Rocco is your go-to walking buddy. He does pull on the leash but is working on that. This sweet boy has already overcome a big hurdle—he was treated for heartworm and came through like a champ! To keep him healthy, Rocco will need to be rechecked for heartworms in September to ensure there are no new or residual worms after treatment, and he will also need to stay on monthly heartworm preventatives for life, but he doesn’t let that slow him down one bit. Rocco is looking for a home with an active person or family who will embrace his playful spirit and keep him moving. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a heart full of gratitude and paws ready for adventure, Rocco might just be your perfect match. Rocco isn't a fan of his kennel and does bark, if you have shared walls. He would LOVE a fenced yard to run. Let’s help this island boy find his Minnesota happily ever after! 💙 Rocco would do best as the only pet in the home Apply to adopt at www.campcompanion.org Adoption fee is $350 plus tax.

Story
Meet Lucy Lu! This affectionate, happy-go-lucky girl is all about people—she loves everyone she meets, from little kids to grownups, strangers to family. Lucy Lu is the type of dog who does a full-body wiggle when she's excited, and she’ll often do joyful laps around the house to celebrate someone’s return home. Lucy has a special way of connecting—she’ll gently follow you from room to room just to be near you. She even makes friends with the maintenance workers, keeping them company as they work! She’s sweet and polite with her kisses, usually offering just a tiny nose boop lick to say she cares. Though she’s calmed down a lot since her puppy days, Lucy still has plenty of energy. She’s a great hiking companion and can go as far as you can. Evenings are her favorite time to play tug-of-war and hang out with her people. She’s also a bit of a bedtime enforcer—if you’re staying up too late, she’ll let you know it’s time to tuck in so she can curl up and sleep near you. While she can do ok with other bigger dogs after a slow introduction, but would prefer to be the only pet in the home. Adoption fee is $350+ tax; please apply at www.campcompanion.org

Story
With his big, soulful puppy-dog eyes Rick is impossible not to fall for. He has all the charm and sweetness you could ever want in a companion. And when he is happy he gets little heart ears, as his foster mom likes to say. He even has a little lucky paw, just like Nemo's fin.  Rick can be a little shy at first, but once he feels comfortable, his loving personality shines through. He’s fully potty trained, loves his treats and chews, and takes his nap schedule very seriously. He's not a fan of being a kennel, so would love someone who is home a lot.  Rick enjoys playing with dogs he knows and trusts, and his gentle, easygoing nature makes him a wonderful companion. Because fast movements and unpredictability can make him nervous, he’d do best in a home without small children.  He’s ready to bring love, loyalty, and lots of cozy moments to his forever home. Whoever adopts him is one LUCKY human. Think that could be you? Apply at www.campcompanion.org. Adoption fee is $350 plus tax.

Story
Saison is about 2 years old and already has an incredible story of resilience. She showed up at a home in northern Kansas, had a litter of puppies, and during her spay it was discovered she was heartworm positive. She bravely went through treatment and is now finished, happy, and ready for her forever family. Despite everything she’s been through, Saison has shown us glimpses that she may have once been someone’s beloved pet. She: - Walks nicely on leash (though she’ll need practice when seeing other dogs). - Hops right into the car and LOVES going for rides 🚗 - Is crate trained and housebroken - She does have a recall, she currently lives on 8 acres and will stick around unless a bunny or cat runs by. - Loves cuddling up in bed with her humans 🛏️💞 - Saison is wonderful with kids and adores people. She does well with most dogs, especially medium to large males, and would be happy in a home with or without another dog. ⚠️ A few things to note: - She cannot live in an apartment or townhome and that is because of her reactivity on a leash. She does have some leash and barrier reactivity that will need continued training. - She cannot live with cats or chickens. She was brought into our rescue because she killed chickens and she will try to kill the farm cat. She shouldn't be with small dogs, mainly because her pray drive is so intense we want small dogs to be safe. - Saison has been out and about on Mayo Clinic grounds, she's met staff and patients and loves them. Saison truly is a lover and while her barrier/leash issues need work, she is a sweet, sweet dog. 👉 As part of her lifelong care, Saison will need to remain on monthly heartworm preventatives and have yearly heartworm tests. 🐾 Meet Klover! Klover is a black-and-white cutie weighing about 9 pounds. He and his littermates arrived from Arkansas after being raised by a Lab mama. Dad was the traveling salesman. He is neutered, had 2 DHPP vaccines and microchipped, and ready for a family of his own. Klover is full of energy, curiosity, and affection. He loves chew toys, tug-of-war, and exploring every corner of the house. He follows his people everywhere and is quick to crawl into your lap for cuddles. Klover is a big snuggler and enjoys roughhousing, playing, and napping with his brother, Kenny. He’s still working on house training and leash walking but is a bright, eager pup who learns quickly. Klover will be a wonderful addition to a family looking for a sweet, playful companion. Apply to adopt at www.campcompanion.org . Adoption fee is $350 plus tax.
