Story
Meet Vanessa, a spirited silver lab rescued from a puppy mill and now ready for a loving home that understands her journey. Vanessa finds pure joy running and playing in a fenced backyard, making it her happy place. She adores children and is working hard on leash training and gaining confidence. While she enjoys gentle pets, she's cautious around fast movements and loud noises, needing a patient person to help her feel secure. She is eager to have her own family with kids around her. Vanessa gets along great with other dogs but she likes to chase the resident cat now, only because the other dog chases her. Are you ready to give Vanessa the safe, loving environment she deserves? She's eager to share her affection and brighten your life with her sweet, resilient spirit. Story
Everyone welcome Duke of Noel. "Duke is from Noel, Missouri. He was left on the hilltop when the Tyson plant closed down and the workers had to leave their dogs behind. Sad story, but that is in the past! Now Duke is looking towards the future. Duke gets along with most dogs, some unneutered ones, not so much. However after he sniffs them in a controlled setting, he is okay. Duke is potty trained, has not needed to be kenneled as he rolls up in a ball during the day on the couch to sleep. Duke is a very gentle giant with a beautiful coat and a lug of a head. If you are looking for a sweet big boy, Duke is your man. Fence not required but appreciated. He walks good on a leash. Story
Loki is a big sweet boy.. I got him at 3 months from a private family. Things were great until my stroke in December. Now Loki is too much for Me to handle. My balance and mobility are impaired and Loki has knocked me down several times. I am concerned I will be injured when I fall and my medical services move to rehome me. Loki would be happier with an active family. He loves kids.i have never had to rehome a beloved pet before. This is heartbreaking for me.

Story
Meet Justice a sweet 4-month-old lab/shepherd mix pup who made his way to Minnesota with his brother, Hero, when they were found as strays in Arkansas. The brothers hitched a ride north with Ozark Freedom Drivers for a better chance at a forever home. For puppies, they are quite large already at 4 months and will be large dogs when fully grown. The drive was long and hot, but they are now settling into life in their foster home. They enjoy playing with their foster brother and going for walks. Both have done well going potty outside and keeping their kennels clean at night. And they are both doing well learning to go for walks on a leash. Justice is the more timid of the brothers and watches his slightly larger brother and foster brother for cues. He might benefit from another dog in the home for a quicker adjustment. It is recommended that the brothers be adopted to separate homes. Both pups are food-motivated and enjoy hanging out with their people. They need microchips but have been fixed and are current on vaccines. Since they are bigger puppies, families with small children might not be the best fit since they may knock them over. Meet Hero a sweet 4-month-old lab/shepherd mix pup who made his way to Minnesota with his brother, Justice, when they were found as strays in Arkansas. The breed is just a guess. Hero is the more outgoing of the brothers, he can be a bit pushy with other dogs. If there is another dog in his new home it should be a confident dog that will teach him dog body language; older dogs might not appreciate his puppy style. He should do fine as an only dog, and of course, would benefit from socialization with other dogs such as through training classes. It is recommended that the brothers be adopted to separate homes. Both pups are food-motivated and enjoy hanging out with their people. They need microchips but have been fixed and are current on vaccines. Since they are bigger puppies, families with small children might not be the best fit since they may knock them over. Adoption fee: $300 plus tax Apply to Adopt: www.campcompanion.org

Story
Meet Gypsy! She is a new pup on the block here at PCHS. She was transferred to PCHS from another rescue partner. Gypsy is a young lab mix who was given a very rough start to her life. She is one of the many dogs we see with a very sad history. Unfortunately, she lived in an unsafe situation where she was not being cared for. She regularly got into unsafe substances that required medical attention, and she has a bowed front leg that was left to heal on its own after she was hit by a car. Regardless of her previous battles, Gypsy has come out on top! And today, you would never suspect all the things she's been through. She is a very happy and bouncy girl that thrives with attention, loves her toys, and is just excited about life! She has so much love to give and she can't wait to find her own person to love her back. She has done well with dogs in the past and will likely do well with a dog in her adoptive home. It is unknown if she has lived with cats. She seems like she would do well with kids, but she will need some training to learn "four paws on the floor" so she does not knock people over with her enthusiasm. If she sounds like a perfect match for you, please apply today!Adoption fee $350, plus $30 microchip fee + tax
