Story
Meet Rosie, a sweet and gentle lab mix, weighing around 40 lbs. With her smooth yellow lab coat and sweet eyes, this lovely 2-year-old girl is looking for a quiet and loving home. Rosie is very quiet and laid back, making her the perfect companion for a tranquil household. She's perfectly house-trained, needing just a couple of potty breaks a day. While Rosie enjoys the outdoors, she prefers to stick close by your side. She loves short strolls a couple of times a day and is a dream on the leash, walking gently along with you. Rosie is great with cats and quiet dogs, and she's hoping to find a home where she can enjoy a peaceful life filled with naps, brushing sessions, and plenty of scratches. One of her favorite activities is taking rides on a golf cart! Though she may be a bit timid at first, with a little time and plenty of love, she'll warm up beautifully. Rosie is a treat lover and is very polite when taking them. As she gets to know you, she’ll only grow sweeter and more affectionate. All she needs is you to complete her picture-perfect family. If you’re looking for a loving, easygoing companion, Rosie is ready to fill that spot in your heart and home. To apply, visit tailsofhopewi.org

Story
Life goals?? To have someone look at you the way Luna looks at a tennis ball or a stick… Lovable miss-Luna is as ready as ever to land herself a forever family of her own, and one that’s willing to play endless fetch would be her DREAM! Luna (female) is a 3 year old silver lab who joined the New Leash family in pretty poor physical condition due to some negligence + thyroid levels that cause hair loss & needed some medication/maintenance. Fast-forward to today…Luna is doing pretty incredible! Her foster family has shown her the unconditional love she’s never known, her fur is filling in nicely, and she is ready for a forever kind of love! More about Luna:  50lbs 100% potty-trained  crate-trained  a well-mannered girl who is a good listener!   LOVES car rides (copilot, anyone? )  will show off her tricks for some yummy treats!  affectionate & loving (kisses, cuddles, belly rubs…you name it! )  would play fetch all day, every day if you’d let her!   continuing to work on her leash etiquette (which she previously had no concept of), and is improving every single day!  ADORES her people! More about Luna’s home requirements:  A fenced-in yard would be her dream, because: 1. alllllll the fetch and 2. roaming + sniffing to her heart’s content!  Being the only dog would be ideal. Luna is your typical “covid dog,” so the socialization skills she should’ve received as a puppy are nonexistent. Her initial reaction is to become quite anxious around new dogs…so if she’s not the only dog in the home, she’d require a low-key, non-reactive 4-legged friend. She would also need to do several meet & greets with him/her prior to adoption! She continues to learn “how to dog” every single day. Has been around kiddos as young as 5 years and done wonderfully, so would do just fine with children of most all ages!  Luna is in-need of a new foster and/or forever home by Saturday, September 23rd. She is eligible for our foster-to-adopt program, so please reach out if you think she possibly sounds like a good fit for you. APPLY HERE: https://newleashdogrescue.com **Luna’s $200 adoption fee includes her spay, vaccinations, heartworm test, and microchip. ##1817860##

Story
Texaco aka Tex is a very sweet and outgoing boy! He's been socialized with kids of all ages, dogs of all sizes and has been exposed to a variety of environments. Tex, his siblings and mom came from Houston, Texas. Loves (mom) was abandoned at Loves gas station and lived on her own for four months. She then had puppies and after the pups were two weeks old, they were brought to a shelter. Forever Fido was notified that Loves and her puppies were on borrowed time and if they didn't have a rescue, they'd all be euthanized. We are guessing they were born around 5/11. They are ready to go and are currently in foster homes. These puppies are super friendly and LOVE people, they are going to make wonderful family members! We have no idea who dad is but mom is a very sweet Pointer/Lab mix that will weigh about 45lbs. These pups will stay a medium size. They are up to date on distemper, have had two wellness exams and have been microchipped. If you are interested in a pup, please fill out an application on our website and a volunteer will be in touch. https://foreverfido.org/adoptable-dogs/ If you email us through Adopt-A-Pet, you will be directed to do so before we speak with you. So, you will save time completing the application first. Our adoption fee also covers a lot of post-adoption support, discounts on training, boarding and daycare to ensure a successful placement.
