Story
Meet Lyra! This adorable 20 pound lab is sweet as can be. Lyra loves to cuddle up in big, cozy blankets, plays very nicely with all kinds of toys, and politely accepts any treat offered to her. Lyra enjoys following you around outside, and really liked going to get a 'pup-cup' where she could curl up in the backseat and watch the barista make her special treat at the drive-thru window; she would love to be someones special coffee-run buddy. Lyra is a quiet little dog looking for a calmer home that can offer her plenty of time to adjust to new things and one that has lots of cozy spaces to call her own. If this little girl sounds like the dog for you, fill out an application online today at HSNEI.org!

Story
Meet Remi! Remi is a big, playful puppy who loves to run and fetch. He loves playing with bigger kids, he doesn't know his size and may be too rambunctious for small children. His current goal is to try to fit as many tennis balls into his mouth as possible, currently holding the record at four. He will bring you a toy when he wants to play with you, and loves to roll over for a belly rub. He also likes to play with other dogs. He likes car rides and hikes too, and has done very well with some basic obedience training. After playing fetch or a long walk, Remi likes to stretch out for a big snooze on the floor. If this active, goofy guy might be a match for your household, fill out an application today at hsnei.org!

Story
Life goals?? To have someone look at you the way Luna looks at a tennis ball or a stick… Lovable miss-Luna is as ready as ever to land herself a forever family of her own, and one that’s willing to play endless fetch would be her DREAM! Luna (female) is a 3 year old silver lab who joined the New Leash family in pretty poor physical condition due to some negligence + thyroid levels that cause hair loss & needed some medication/maintenance. Fast-forward to today…Luna is doing pretty incredible! Her foster family has shown her the unconditional love she’s never known, her fur is filling in nicely, and she is ready for a forever kind of love! More about Luna:  50lbs 100% potty-trained  crate-trained  a well-mannered girl who is a good listener!   LOVES car rides (copilot, anyone? )  will show off her tricks for some yummy treats!  affectionate & loving (kisses, cuddles, belly rubs…you name it! )  would play fetch all day, every day if you’d let her!   continuing to work on her leash etiquette (which she previously had no concept of), and is improving every single day!  ADORES her people! More about Luna’s home requirements:  A fenced-in yard would be her dream, because: 1. alllllll the fetch and 2. roaming + sniffing to her heart’s content!  Being the only dog would be ideal. Luna is your typical “covid dog,” so the socialization skills she should’ve received as a puppy are nonexistent. Her initial reaction is to become quite anxious around new dogs…so if she’s not the only dog in the home, she’d require a low-key, non-reactive 4-legged friend. She would also need to do several meet & greets with him/her prior to adoption! She continues to learn “how to dog” every single day. Has been around kiddos as young as 5 years and done wonderfully, so would do just fine with children of most all ages!  Luna is in-need of a new foster and/or forever home by Saturday, September 23rd. She is eligible for our foster-to-adopt program, so please reach out if you think she possibly sounds like a good fit for you. APPLY HERE: https://newleashdogrescue.com **Luna’s $200 adoption fee includes her spay, vaccinations, heartworm test, and microchip. ##1817860##

Story
Meet Gus, the lovable and playful lab mix puppy ready to steal your heart! Hi there! I'm Gus, and I'm on a mission to fill your life with joy and laughter. I may be just a few months old, but my enthusiasm for life knows no bounds! I'm a curious and outgoing pup, always eager to explore the world around me. My soft fur and soulful eyes are bound to make you melt, and my wagging tail is a constant reminder of the boundless love I have to share. Playtime is my favorite time! Whether it's chasing squeaky toys, rolling in the grass, or a good ol' game of fetch, I'm always up for some fun. I'd love a family who enjoys an active lifestyle and can keep up with my playful energy. While I'm a bundle of energy, I also excel in the cuddle department. There's nothing I love more than curling up next to my favorite human for some quality snuggle time. I've got plenty of love to give and am looking for someone who appreciates a warm, furry friend. I'm a smart pup, and I've been working hard on my basic commands. I'm a quick learner and would benefit from a family committed to continuing my training. Positive reinforcement, treats, and lots of love are my favorite motivators! I'm looking for a forever home with a loving family who has the time and energy to keep up with my playful spirit. A fenced yard would be a bonus so I can run and play safely. Whether you're an individual, a couple, or a family with kids, as long as you have love to spare, I'm ready to be part of your pack!
