Story
Hi! My name is Malachi and I am 3 year old male mixed breed. I am microchipped, heartworm tested, neutered, and current on my vaccines. 3 words that describe me: Affectionate, Playful, Energetic Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: I'm a big boy with lots of energy! I love zooming around the yard at CRHS. I'm also very affectionate and will demand pets by putting my head under your arm. I can be a little reserved of new people, but once I get to know you I'll be your bff! Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10) 8/10 Housetraining Status: I'm still working on it, but with a consistent schedule I should catch on fast! I should do well in a home: Any children in my potential home will need to be 13 years or older. I am required to meet all dogs in my potential home before adoption. I have never met a cat before so my humans don’t know how I will be around them. My favorite activities are: Getting love and affection. I will come sit between your legs and lean on you. I also really love to play with my people, especially with squeaky toys. Things I need work on are: I am a big boy who isn't aware of my strength and size, so some basic training would help so I'm not so jumpy when excited. I also tend to pull on the leash. Any special needs: None Doggy day out notes: "Malachi is a very good dog! He got a little nervous around new people but did great around some kids he encountered. Overall, he was very sweet and did amazing on his walk and car ride." "Malachi was an absolute joy to have today! He was a little nervous at first but it didn't take him long to settle in. He saw a good mix of people including young kids to early pre-teen ages. He let a number of people approach for a closer look and was receptive to petting. He was curious of other dogs but we still kept a safe distance. He did bark a tad bit at some larger me who were walking the other way on a trail but it was very short lived. I would assume he may be a bit more trusting of women. All in all, he conducted himself extremely well. It would be a pleasure to take him out again!" "Malachi is so sweet and loving once he gets comfortable, he was shy at first. He did amazing with our 17 year old son. When he got comfortable with us all he wanted was to be snuggled and lay next to us. We went for a walk and run, he has a lot of energy. He also loves to play with stuffed toys and squeaky toys. He loves to fetch, he ran around and played a ton. He encountered some men and woman and had no issues. He loves treats too, he is such a sweet loving dog." "Malachi did so good on his doggy day out! He enjoyed car rides and pets/cuddles more than his hike and trail walks. He is extremely laid back and affectionate. Malachi was curious about the other adults, dogs and the world around him. He was also really excited to meet a lady on our walk. Overall he s such a sweet and living pup that is just happy getting love and attention :)" "Malachi enjoys car rides and likes to stick his head out of the window. When he first started walking he was very curious about the sounds and smells, he didn't seem to want to walk too far! He loves pup cups and takes treats very gently. No barking and he only pulled on the leash when he saw a squirrel at a close distance. He is so sweet and a family will be lucky to have him!" On other doggy day outs I was described as being: - Strong, playful, loving, curious and protective - Gentle, social, and happy Daycare Status: N/A My adoption fee is: $300 Training Requirement if applicable: none *If you are interested in adopting, please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal

❤️ Meet Joker – the sweetest goofball you’ll ever meet! ❤️ 📍 Fostered in: Marshfield, WI 🐶 Breed: Labrador Retriever mix 🎂 Age: 8.5 months ⚖️ Size: Medium (still growing!) Joker didn’t have the easiest start, but you’d never know it from his joyful spirit. He traveled a long way to safety, and now this incredible pup is ready to start the next chapter—with a family of his own. Joker is the perfect mix of playful and snuggly. He has that classic Lab energy—he loves to run, fetch, and explore—but when the fun is over he’ll happily curl up next to (or on!) you for cuddle time. If you ever wanted a dog who can make you laugh and melt your heart within the same minute… that’s Joker. 🌟 What makes Joker special: ✔️ Extremely sweet & affectionate ✔️ Kid-friendly & loves people ✔️ Dog-friendly and enjoys playtime ✔️ Doing well with cats—still learning, but very respectful ✔️ Potty trained & kennel trained ✔️ Rides well in the car and adapts quickly to new environments ✔️ Smart, eager to learn, and treat-motivated Joker is a young dog with lots of puppy energy, so he’d love an active home that will give him plenty of playtime and mental stimulation. He would make an amazing family dog, adventure buddy, or companion for someone looking for a loyal best friend. He has so much love to give and just needs someone to give him a chance. Besides her beauty, she is so smart. She knows her name, she knows basic commands like sit and lay down, Kiva is fully potty trained, keeps her kennel spotless, and she's very devoted. Kiva loves going for walks and is amazing on the leash. She seems to be good at off leash walking (We've only done this in a fenced in yard but listens amazing and sticks by your side) She is very treat motivated so the possibilities are endless with what else she can learn from her new family. If you’re looking for a furever talented girl then Kiva is the one.

Story
Hello! I’m Lily Pearl, and I’ve been searching for my forever home for over 2 years. How sad. This isn’t due to my fault. I’m a people dog once I find my person. I am shy and take a little more time than the average pup to warm up to strangers and new dogs. Once I do — it’s game over — kisses! I don’t think I’d do well with a dog that gets up in my face, so either a single dog household or maybe a lazy older companion? Sometimes little dogs intimidate me and I bark at them. I’m a loving, intelligent, 2.5-year-old, 60 lb Labrador mix with a gorgeous brindled coat of black, tan, and white. I have big, warm eyes and a playful, passionate personality that’s sure to win you over! I’m eager to bond and would love to shower you with affection—hugs, kisses, and cuddles are my thing. I take things slow and steady, but I’m always sweet and curious around new people. At home, I thrive on mental enrichment, whether it’s toys, balls, or interactive games. I’m crate-trained and enjoy resting there during the day, though I’m always ready to join you for some quality time. I’m a quick learner and already know commands like sit, stay, touch, hug, and kiss! I’d love a yard to run, chase balls, and burn off some energy, and if you enjoy running or agility training, I’m your perfect match! Im potty trained, crated trained, good with dogs and kids! I’m up to date on my shots, microchipped, and ready for my forever family. Can I be your new best friend? I’m not spayed, but I’m up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. 📍Being fostered in Schaumburg, IL (I’m sure we can make arrange arrangements for meeting you) 🏁My adoption fee is $100 + $100 spay deposit and you can see more about me & the rescue at https://lastpawrescue.org. ✅ You can apply directly at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LPRI/Dog?fbclid=IwAR2NSCms13xrrfdH2mAbM1hPg5dQoC0ruvNJI3TsFtZtsWp9PvNx46zC6SM 501(c)(3) Approved WI Agricultural Licence#285589-DSR
