Story
Hi! My name is Malachi and I am 3 year old male mixed breed. I am microchipped, heartworm tested, neutered, and current on my vaccines. 3 words that describe me: Affectionate, Playful, Energetic Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: I'm a big boy with lots of energy! I love zooming around the yard at CRHS. I'm also very affectionate and will demand pets by putting my head under your arm. I can be a little reserved of new people, but once I get to know you I'll be your bff! Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10) 8/10 Housetraining Status: I'm still working on it, but with a consistent schedule I should catch on fast! I should do well in a home: Any children in my potential home will need to be 13 years or older. I am required to meet all dogs in my potential home before adoption. I have never met a cat before so my humans don’t know how I will be around them. My favorite activities are: Getting love and affection. I will come sit between your legs and lean on you. I also really love to play with my people, especially with squeaky toys. Things I need work on are: I am a big boy who isn't aware of my strength and size, so some basic training would help so I'm not so jumpy when excited. I also tend to pull on the leash. Any special needs: None Doggy day out notes: "Malachi is a very good dog! He got a little nervous around new people but did great around some kids he encountered. Overall, he was very sweet and did amazing on his walk and car ride." "Malachi was an absolute joy to have today! He was a little nervous at first but it didn't take him long to settle in. He saw a good mix of people including young kids to early pre-teen ages. He let a number of people approach for a closer look and was receptive to petting. He was curious of other dogs but we still kept a safe distance. He did bark a tad bit at some larger me who were walking the other way on a trail but it was very short lived. I would assume he may be a bit more trusting of women. All in all, he conducted himself extremely well. It would be a pleasure to take him out again!" "Malachi is so sweet and loving once he gets comfortable, he was shy at first. He did amazing with our 17 year old son. When he got comfortable with us all he wanted was to be snuggled and lay next to us. We went for a walk and run, he has a lot of energy. He also loves to play with stuffed toys and squeaky toys. He loves to fetch, he ran around and played a ton. He encountered some men and woman and had no issues. He loves treats too, he is such a sweet loving dog." "Malachi did so good on his doggy day out! He enjoyed car rides and pets/cuddles more than his hike and trail walks. He is extremely laid back and affectionate. Malachi was curious about the other adults, dogs and the world around him. He was also really excited to meet a lady on our walk. Overall he s such a sweet and living pup that is just happy getting love and attention :)" "Malachi enjoys car rides and likes to stick his head out of the window. When he first started walking he was very curious about the sounds and smells, he didn't seem to want to walk too far! He loves pup cups and takes treats very gently. No barking and he only pulled on the leash when he saw a squirrel at a close distance. He is so sweet and a family will be lucky to have him!" On other doggy day outs I was described as being: - Strong, playful, loving, curious and protective - Gentle, social, and happy Daycare Status: N/A My adoption fee is: $300 Training Requirement if applicable: none *If you are interested in adopting, please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal

Story
Hello, I am Dalton! I am a 12-year-old black labrador retriever. I am current on my vaccines, heartworm tested, neutered, and microchipped. 3 words that describe me: Loving, Smart, Affectionate Things staff and volunteers have to say about me: I am just the sweetest old man ever! I might be old but I also have a lot of energy for my age. I will roll over for anyone that wants to give me belly rubs and Im the best leash walker ever. Activity level/Energy Level: (1-10): 6/10 Housetraining Status: I am housetrained, although it may take me some time to adjust to the schedue in my new home! I should do well in a home: I should do fine with children of all ages given proper supervision. I should do well with other dogs given proper introductions and time to adjust. My friends at CRHS are unsure how I'd do with cats. My favorite activities are: I love to sprawl out on the floor and get pets from my favorite people. I am not a fan of toys, but I love to watch you play with them. Things I need work on are: I do need to lose some weight, but other than that I am the perfect man. Any special needs: N/A Doggy day out notes: N/A Daycare Status: N/A My adoption fee is: $250 Training Requirement if applicable: N/A *If you are interested in adopting, please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal
