Story
Nickname: Lena Girl Elena is a big, beautiful, and quiet Pyrenees–Lab mix with an equally big heart, and she’s ready to find her new forever home. She arrived with her boyfriend Damon and their son Stefan after their loving family could no longer care for them, but this sweet girl is confident and content whether she’s with them or on her own. Elena is mellow, fully housebroken, and prefers a calm lifestyle with leisurely strolls where she can take in all the sniffs and sights. She’d do best in a home with teens and appreciates a peaceful environment without too much chaos. While she can be a little selective with her dog friends, she doesn’t mind cats, and if you have a current dog, we’re happy to arrange a meet-and-greet to ensure it’s a good match—Elena tends to favor fellow laid-back pups who enjoy moseying through life just like she does. This gentle, quiet, and stunning girl is ready to bring her steady companionship and soft sweetness to a lucky family.

Story
Meet Damon, a handsome 5-year-old gentleman who’s ready to settle into his next chapter of life! Damon came to us with his wife and son after their family could no longer care for them, and he’s been an absolute sweetheart ever since. This laid-back guy is all about the good things in life—cozy blankets, tasty treats, and a comfy bed to snooze in after a nice walk. Don’t be fooled by his relaxed vibe, though—when he’s feeling it, Damon can be a strong boy on leash! He’s also super housebroken here at the shelter, crate trained, and wonderfully quiet. Damon has the softest “old man eyes” that melt everyone’s heart, and he’s looking for a calm, loving home—preferably without cats and with older teens who can appreciate his chill personality. He can be a bit selective with other dogs, which is pretty typical for a mature male who’s gone most of his life unneutered, so we’d require a meet and greet to make sure it’s a good match. He really adores his lady friend Elena, so a female friend may be best. If you’re looking for a mellow, affectionate companion who loves people, cuddles, naps, and a bit of adventure, Damon is your guy! Come meet this sweet soul and give him the cozy “retirement” home he truly deserves.

Sweet Wednesday is an ACC survivor. At just 10 months old, Wednesday has so much love to give — she just needs someone to help guide her! She’s a gentle, happy girl who’s great with dogs, cats, and kids 13+. What she’s missing is training and structure — the kind of guidance she never received in her previous home. Story
Sweet Morticia, an 11-month-old ACC survivor, has already shown incredible resilience and a gentle heart. But right now, what she really needs is a dedicated FOSTER or FOREVER home to help her be the best she can be.   Currently in a temporary foster in Binghamton, Morticia needs a home without small dogs, cats, or kids under 15—a tougher match, which makes finding her next step even more urgent. Like many young pups, she’s eager to learn but still needs guidance and structure to reach her full potential.   She’s spayed, fully vetted, and ready to move in—all she needs is someone willing to open their heart and home.   All of our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, de-wormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heart-worm tested, and treated if necessary.  Vet references and a home/family visit are required, and an adoption fee applies.  Transport options are available within our area of operation, including Pennsylvania, the tri-state area, and New England. Story
Hi there, I'm Gravity!I might not keep your feet on the ground, but I’ll definitely keep you on your toes! I’m a big ol’ one-year-old goofball with loads of puppy energy and a whole lot of love to give. I was adopted as a tiny pup but recently found myself back at the shelter — no hard feelings, though! I'm just hoping this time around I find my forever home.I’m the kind of dog who’s always up for an adventure — hikes, fetch, tug-of-war, or zoomies in the yard — count me in! I’d do best with someone who’s excited to help me burn off all this energy and teach me how to be the best boy I know I can be. I’m still learning the ropes, but with a little training and a lot of play, I’ll be your loyal sidekick in no time.If you’re looking for a big, bouncy best friend to keep you active and make you laugh every day, I might just be your guy. Come meet me and let’s see if we’re meant to orbit each other forever!Stray Haven Humane Society & SPCA194 Shepard Rd., Waverly, NY 14892(607) 565-2859, www.strayhavenspca.org Open hours:Tuesday-Friday 10am-5pmSaturday-Sunday 10am-4pmClosed on Mondays

Story
These two amazing black labs are brothers from the same litter. They are 1 year old and are about 50-60lb each. They love to play and cuddle with each other. They need a family that can dedicate time to playing with them and helping them burn off some of their puppy energy. They are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. They are house trained and have never destroyed anything outside of their kennels. They truly do just want love. Unfortunately, at this time we are not the right fit for them. We have a toddler and when the dogs play inside they tend to plow over our child. They are just big goofballs that are not aware of their surroundings. Unfortunately this usually means we have to keep them in their kennel so as to protect our child. These dogs are not aggressive in any way. They are also great with cats and love to spend time in an outdoor kennel when it is warm outside. We will provide their current food, food and water bowls, treats, leashes, collars, etc.
