Remington is the sweetest boy, it breaks my heart to re home him but he would be happier! He wants attention all the time he absolutely loves humans. He loves to cuddle. He loves other dogs. He has the calmest temperament, but he enjoys to play fetching as his favorite activity as well as swimming. My family works too much and we are involved in many sports with children I feel awful that he is home all the time and I feel he would have a much better life with someone who could give him the time that he deserves. He is extremely smart. He really is the perfect family dog. He is 7

Story
Lucy is a 12 year old Black Lab, she used to be a Farmdog before her current life as a grandmothers dog. She still acts like a puppy though, she loves to run and play in grass, mud, and especially the snow. (She's more penguin than dog...) Lucy is loyal, loving, and sweet with people. Shes always happy to meet and greet new people on walks or at the door. Shes a cuddler, and loves to share blankets and couches with anyone willing to pet her. She loves kids, and has been a wonderful self-appointed guard dog to my little sister. Lucy is an anxious dog, and scared of loud noises. She will often try to hide in(or make) crawl spaces where she will wait out the noise. She has not been socialized very well with other animals. She gets along well with other dogs her size, but her farmdog past means she still sees small animals as prey or vermin to hunt. I would not recommend housing her with small dogs or cats. Lucy does best with someone around to dote on her, or her to dote on them.

Story
We got him from the humane society in Binghamton. He is a very good dog. Even knows commands. Sit, wait, paw etc. he is house trained and cage trained. The only issue is that he doesn’t like anyone touching his neck randomly or his feet for a significant period of time. He hates being muzzled and will nip at you, even bite if you do any of these. Any other time he is fairly calm. He loves to pull when you walk him. This can be controlled with the anchoring method but you need to be consistent.

Tiana is only 2 years old, yet she has already spent over 300 days of her young life waiting in a shelter for someone to choose her. Tiana came into the shelter system as an unclaimed stray. Last September she had to have an eye removed due to a medical issue, but the surgery fixed the problem and she feels great! Her adorable little pirate eye doesn’t slow her down one bit. What breaks our hearts the most is this: After everything she’s been through, she is still gentle, playful, and full of love. Quick Facts • ~2 years old • 64 lbs of lovable rolly-polly • Good with dogs and respectful kids • No cats please • Intake date: 5/5/25 at Front St. Shelter • Transferred to BCHS on 2/28/26 A dog this young should be learning about couches, toys, and bedtime cuddles, not growing up behind kennel doors!
