Story
Meet Gravity! 🐾This boy has been waiting patiently for the right person to come along. We know his perfect match is out there. 🐕 Gravity is an 18-month-old, 70-pound Lab mix with a big personality and a lot of heart. He’s neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations, and more than ready for a fresh start. Gravity is hoping to find a patient, loving home that’s willing to give him the time, guidance, and commitment he deserves. This happy, high-energy boy is always ready for an adventure. Hikes, fetch, tug-of-war, zoomies in the yard, whatever the activity, Gravity is all in. He has lots of love to give and enjoys plenty of pets and hugs. Like many young dogs, he’s still working on his manners. He can be strong on leash and gets excited and jumpy when meeting new people, but he’s voice-and treat-responsive and settles nicely with guidance. Once calm, he knows how to sit and greet politely. ❤️Gravity would do best with someone who understands dogs, has the time to invest, and is excited to work with him on training. He’s still figuring things out, but he’s eager to learn and responds well when given guidance. 🎯With consistency, structure, and enough exercise to burn off his puppy exuberance, Gravity has all the makings of an amazing companion. He’s not a “finished product,” just a young dog who truly wants to do right and be the very best boy for his person.🏠 If you're looking for an energetic, playful dog who keeps you active, adds joy to your home, and is sure to become your best companion, stop by and meet Gravity!Stray Haven194 Shepard RoadWaverly, New York 14892(607) 565-2859Hours: Tuesday-Friday 10-5Saturday 10-4Closed Sunday & MondayStray Haven Humane Society & SPCA194 Shepard Rd., Waverly, NY 14892(607) 565-2859, www.strayhavenspca.org Open hours:Tuesday-Friday 10am-5pmSaturday-Sunday 10am-4pmClosed on Mondays

Story
Dean is 1 year and 10 months old. We adopted him from a shelter at age 4 months. He had been found abandoned at 2 months old. Dean is a healthy and typical young lab - lots of energy and craves attention. He loves to play with toys and run around outside. He is house trained, crate trained, and has learned several commands. He bonded quickly to my teenage grandson as well as to myself. It is unknown how he would be around younger children or cats. He is reactive to other dogs but we believe he could be socialized. Our own personal health issues during the past year has made it difficult for us to care for Dean. Thus, we are looking to rehome him. Someone with experience and patience training a dog would be best.

Story
What can we say about Burt? You know a dog is special when your canine manager falls in love and wants to take him home! But, she's graciously decided to allow all of you the chance to love this handsome boy! Burt is a 2-year-old lab/shepherd/hound mix (to the best of our knowledge). Burt is a little nervous around new people, but once he gets a second to sniff you out and trust that you're nice, you've got a friend for life. He's described as a loving and loyal companion who is a fast learner and aims to please, and once he gets comfortable, he's a carefree, happy-go-lucky boy! He loves to play fetch with balls and frisbees, so he'd like an active home with plenty of room to run and play. He really LOVES other dogs, but still asks for a meet and greet just to be extra sure. He seems to want to chase cats, so a cat-free home would probably be best. He hasn't had much exposure to little kids, but getting him used to new things and experiences in a safe and patient environment would be key. Burt is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Apply to adopt your new best friend at www.secondchanceas.org/adopt or at the sanctuary any time we're open. Call 570-376-3646 or email secondchanceas@yahoo.com with any questions. >> PA kennel license #04944

Story
Honey recently arrived from PMAR’s Alabama rescue partner and is already showing what a sweet, social girl she is. True to her name, Honey is affectionate, outgoing, and loves being around people. She is spayed, fully vetted, and currently settling into her foster home, where she is doing well on leash and enjoying learning her new routines. Honey has been friendly with everyone she’s met so far and approaches new experiences with curiosity and enthusiasm. As with any dog adjusting to a new environment, Honey will need continued training, structure, and support to help her reach her full potential. With consistency and guidance, she is expected to thrive. Honey is ready for her next chapter and is looking for a foster or forever home committed to helping her continue growing into the wonderful companion she’s meant to be.
