Story
Meet Paisy Yellow Labrador Retriever / Lab–Hound Mix • ~estimated to be 2 years old at 65–70 lbs.Spayed • Heartworm Negative • Up-to-Date on Vaccines & Preventatives Paisy’s story is heartbreaking — but her spirit is nothing short of miraculous. For years, Paisy lived confined in a crate inside a hoarding home. No sunshine. No yard. No walks. No room to stretch her legs or be a dog. She sat so long in one spot that she developed sore patches on her hind end. When the situation finally collapsed, instead of receiving help, Paisy and her tiny companion, Duchess, were dumped and left to survive on their own.  For two long weeks, these two girls ran the streets together — navigating traffic, hunger, fear, and confusion — just trying to stay alive. But here’s the incredible part: Paisy never lost her joy.She never lost her hope. She never stopped believing life could be better. And now… she is finally getting the chance to live. Personality Paisy is sweet, affectionate, and impossibly loving. She truly never meets a stranger — she adores every person she comes across and blends beautifully with other dogs. After so long being denied basic freedom, she is relishing her chance to stretch her legs, explore the yard, feel the grass, and rediscover what it means to be a dog.  She isn’t wild — she’s just catching up on years she lost. With structure, enrichment, and daily movement, she settles beautifully and stays close to her people with a soft, grateful heart. Training & Manners    •    Crate clean and settles well    •    Learning leash manners (she wants to please and is catching on fast)    •    Dog friendly and blends well with groups    •    People loving and gentle    •    Can be vocal at times, showing her likely hound lineage    •    Needs regular activity to prevent boredom or restlessness She would thrive with someone who enjoys walks, outdoor exploring, or who has another friendly dog to show her the ropes. Her Perfect Home: Paisy is ideal for someone who wants:    •    A grateful, resilient companion    •    A dog who celebrates life with you    •    A loyal heart who will adore her person forever    •    An adventure buddy for hiking, strolling, or porch-sitting    •    A mature, steady dog with plenty of love left to give She doesn’t need perfection.  She just needs someone who sees her — really sees her — and gives her the life she was denied for so long.  If you’re ready for a dog who will love you with all she has, Paisy is ready, too.  If you’re ready for a dog who will love you with all she has, Paisy is ready, too. If you would like to have this beautiful girl join your family please fill out an adoption application.  Her $450 covers medical care to include vaccines, spay, microchip, foster care and transportation from Louisiana to NY. ##2569626##

Story
Hi there, I'm Gravity!I might not keep your feet on the ground, but I’ll definitely keep you on your toes! I’m a big ol’ one-year-old goofball with loads of puppy energy and a whole lot of love to give. I was adopted as a tiny pup but recently found myself back at the shelter — no hard feelings, though! I'm just hoping this time around I find my forever home.I’m the kind of dog who’s always up for an adventure — hikes, fetch, tug-of-war, or zoomies in the yard — count me in! I’d do best with someone who’s excited to help me burn off all this energy and teach me how to be the best boy I know I can be. I’m still learning the ropes, but with a little training and a lot of play, I’ll be your loyal sidekick in no time.If you’re looking for a big, bouncy best friend to keep you active and make you laugh every day, I might just be your guy. Come meet me and let’s see if we’re meant to orbit each other forever!Stray Haven Humane Society & SPCA194 Shepard Rd., Waverly, NY 14892(607) 565-2859, www.strayhavenspca.org Open hours:Tuesday-Friday 10am-5pmSaturday-Sunday 10am-4pmClosed on Mondays

Story
Hello, Eva is one year old and is an absolute love bug. She loves to play and cuddle. I acquired her from a friend but due to circumstances with my work schedule I won’t be able to take care of her and meet her needs and have financial constraints. I just want her with a family or someone who can love her just as much as I do and give her the world.
