Story
Meet Cedar – The Shelter Kid Learning How to Be Loved Cedar is a 9-month-old Lab mixed-breed boy, about 50 lbs, who has spent almost his entire life in a shelter. He went in at just 10 weeks old and didn’t get out until he was finally pulled into foster at 8 months. Now he’s getting his very first taste of home life. The basics: Age: 9 months Weight: ~50 lbs Neutered Up to date on vaccines On heartworm & flea prevention Crate trained & very cleanPersonality:Cedar is a shy, gentle soul who is still figuring people out. New humans can be a little scary, but dogs? Those are his comfort zone. He LOVES other dogs and comes alive running the yard with the pack. He’s also very food motivated—with a few tasty treats, he’ll cautiously come closer and even allow gentle pets. You can see him slowly blooming a little more every day. What Cedar needs:Cedar isn’t a ready-made, walk-in-the-door-and-party kind of dog. He’s the “earn his trust and watch the magic happen” type. He needs:A patient, calm family who will go at his paceA consistent routine and a cozy, quiet spot to feel safeLots of gentle praise and positive reinforcement Bonus: a confident, friendly dog buddy to show him the ropes and a physical fence.  If you’ve ever wanted to be the person who helps a shy dog finally feel safe, Cedar is your boy. Watching him learn that people can be kind and homes can be forever will be the best kind of heartwarming.  If you would like Cedar to join your family please fill out am aoption application.  Her $500 adoption fee cover medical care up to adoption to include vaccines, microchip, foster care and transportation to NY. ##2594788##

Meet Willow — A Gentle Soul With the Softest Heart ~9 Months Old • ~50 lbs • Spayed • Heartworm Negative • Up-to-Date on Vaccines & Preventatives Ready for Adoption Willow’s story is one of quiet endurance, resilience, and finally being given the chance to feel safe. She and her siblings, River and Cedar, spent their entire lives inside a kill shelter — growing up behind chain-link, overlooked day after day. After more than 250 days, they were heartbreakingly close to being euthanized simply for being there too long. Seventh Heaven stepped in just in time, pulling them to safety only a day or two before their scheduled euthanasia and giving Willow the life she had never known. And Willow… is truly something special. She is the most gentle, loving creature — the kind of dog whose presence instantly calms a room. She doesn’t have a mean bone in her body and gets along beautifully with every dog she meets. She has a slightly bashful side at first, but once she feels safe, she blossoms into the most affectionate, tender companion. Give her a little time, and she will love you with her whole heart. Willow’s crate has become her safe place. It’s where she feels secure, relaxed, and at peace, and she happily goes in to rest and recharge. She will need a couple of weeks to warm up to new people, but when she does, her love is deep, sincere, and incredibly rewarding. A few things to know about sweet Willow: Extremely gentle and loving Bashful at first, but warms up beautifully Wonderful with other dogs Crate = her safe, happy space Sensitive soul — doesn’t like loud noises or fast, chaotic movement Quiet, observant, and deeply affectionate once bonded At around 9 months old and roughly 50 pounds, Willow is the perfect mix of young, trainable, and calm-natured. If you’re looking for the most loving, gentle soul — a dog who will attach deeply, trust slowly, and love endlessly — Willow is your girl. She is fully vetted, healthy, and ready to be adopted into the peaceful, patient home she’s waited her whole life to find. Willow is ready for her forever. She would thrive better with another confident dog.  If you would like to adopt Willow please fill out an adoption application.  Willow's $500 adoption fee will cover all medical care up to adoption to include vaccines,  spay, microchip, foster care and transportation from Louisiana to NY. ##2594762##

Story
Hi there, I'm Gravity!I might not keep your feet on the ground, but I’ll definitely keep you on your toes! I’m a big ol’ one-year-old goofball with loads of puppy energy and a whole lot of love to give. I was adopted as a tiny pup but recently found myself back at the shelter — no hard feelings, though! I'm just hoping this time around I find my forever home.I’m the kind of dog who’s always up for an adventure — hikes, fetch, tug-of-war, or zoomies in the yard — count me in! I’d do best with someone who’s excited to help me burn off all this energy and teach me how to be the best boy I know I can be. I’m still learning the ropes, but with a little training and a lot of play, I’ll be your loyal sidekick in no time.If you’re looking for a big, bouncy best friend to keep you active and make you laugh every day, I might just be your guy. Come meet me and let’s see if we’re meant to orbit each other forever!Stray Haven Humane Society & SPCA194 Shepard Rd., Waverly, NY 14892(607) 565-2859, www.strayhavenspca.org Open hours:Tuesday-Friday 10am-5pmSaturday-Sunday 10am-4pmClosed on Mondays
