Story
Spinner is a lab weimaraner mix that is 1 year old and 70 pounds. We rescued Spinner on his last day, and he has blossomed! This now 70 pound young lab / Weimaraner mix loves to play, is goofy and sociable. He is crate and housetrained.  He knows several commands such as sit, shake and lay down.  He is good w/ all dogs provided he gets a slow and proper introduction.  He seems to be impartial to cats.  Spinner is very stubborn so he will need a strong pack leader in his new home.  He is good with kids, but with his clumsy goofball self, he would likely knock over small children, so we suggest kids 10 year old and up.  He sheds very little so you won't have to vacuum every day!  Spinner is a lover and enjoys sitting on the couch and cuddling with his people!  He is on slow kill Heartworm treatment since his levels were so low. No change in activity, he can romp as much as he wants! He is such a happy good natured boy! If you are interested in Spinner, please apply online at www.crisisdogsnc.org. Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. To ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. Please note that questions via email or social media channels may not receive a response without a completed application. As part of our commitment to responsible adoption practices, we require excellent veterinarian references and conduct virtual home visits. Additionally, your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We provide transportation by both land and air whenever feasible. All assessments regarding breed and age are conducted by licensed veterinarians. We look forward to assisting you in finding your perfect canine companion!  February 29, 2024, 9:10 pm

Bear is an absolute sweetheart! He is truly a gentle soul and just loves being around his foster parents. He is great with other dogs and loves kids too. Bear came to the rescue after living on the streets and has learned all about the wonders of having his own home! One of his favorite things is to snuggle up for an afternoon nap on a fluffy dog bed, or even snooze in bed with his foster parents! He also loves treats and walks where he can show off his amazing leash manners. Who knew there were so many glorious things to enjoy! Bear earned his name because he looks just like a little baby bear. Sweet and fluffy and full of love! If he wasn't perfect enough already, Bear is also fully house-trained, very polite, and quiet. He is just a little gem and can't wait to find his perfect forever family!February 29, 2024, 9:10 pm

Story
Leo is a 2yr old Lab/Husky Mix. He is a very sweet boy. He is very social and friendly with other dogs, big or small, cats, and children. He rarely barks and is house and kennel trained. He does know some basic commands, as well. Leo is up to date on all of his shots and is currently chipped. I can provide his shot and health record. Leo will come with a kennel, dog bed, food and water dish, personalized collar, leash, rabies shot tag, dog treats, and food. It breaks my heart to have to rehome him. I have to move in with my ederly father to take care of him and unfortunately he is allergic to dogs. This decision did not come lightly. I am just looking for a great home for this beautiful boy.

Story
Romeo was adopted from FAPS in Fayetteville, NC. He is 4 years young. He’s an energetic boy, loves catch, tug of war, jogging but is an overall teddy bear. Rehoming wasn’t an option to us at first but due to our hectic schedule we cannot give him the proper attention and stimulation he needs. We're looking for a loving and active home.

"If you got a chance, take it, take it while you got a chance If you got a dream, chase it, 'cause a dream won't chase you back If you're gonna love somebody Hold 'em as long and as strong and as close as you can 'Til you can't" Hey y'all, it's CoJo. My full name is Cody Johnson, but CoJo sounds cooler. And I'm a cool pup. I'm the perfect mix of playful and sweet. I give kisses for days. I'm doing so good with crate training! Foster Mom says that I'm gentle and snuggly. I can't wait to find my fur-ever family! Could it be you?!? Our best guess is that CoJo will weigh around 40-50 pounds full grown. Our adoption fee is $235, payable during a successful meet and greet. Please submit an inquiry or email us for our adoption application. Story
My foster mom says that I am the sweetest girl ever! I love to give kisses! Do you like puppy kisses? Mine are the best!! I also love to play with my brother. I like a squeaky toy best, but he likes me to play tug of war with him. I love to snuggle too. Do you like puppy snuggles? Maybe I can snuggle with you in my new forever home? Pixie's mom is a 40 pound mixed breed. We are unsure of dad's breed mix. Breed mix is our best guess, based on coat, size, and other features. Our adoption fee is $235, payable during a successful meet and greet. Please submit an inquiry or email us for our adoption application. Story
Russell is a Golden Retriever Lab Mix approximately 7-8 years old, weighs about 45 pounds This beautiful boy survived a hoarder house fire, and we rescued him along with five of his mates who have slowly adjusted to their individual homes. Russell and his pal Sophie are taking a little longer to overcome their trauma, but they are not particularly bonded and can be adopted separately. Russell is very good with people, likes men and women, is very friendly, easy going. He is extremely shy and takes several weeks to come to you, but once there is trust, he attaches! Russell needs someone who is at home since he has severe separation anxieties. When you are not at home, he will require an industrial grade crate because he will try to get out at all cost. No kids, teens fine, loud noise and sudden movement scare him. He is scared of dogs other than Sophie so we recommend him as your only dog so he can bond deeply with you and establish trust. His foster writes, “Russell needs a fenced yard since It terrifies him to put a collar and leash on him; once on he does okay and follows your lead. A fenced yard where he can lounge would make him very happy since he is not very active. He loves lying around. and especially being close to you once he establishes he is safe and that you will protect him.” Russell absolutely needs an experienced owner who is around 90% of the time. His foster explains, ”When he is with a person he trusts, he is a very calm, easy going dog . He must have his security blanket - which is a ball, at all times. He will cry if he does not have one. He needs a home as the only dog so that he can have free range of movement, or with his sibling (Sophie). He absolutely panics when I leave the room, even for a few minutes and will do damage if not crated . He has to be able to see you. Once he is with you he truly is the best dog ever. " This dog is available and everything we know about this dog is included in the dog's description. We are only able to respond to questions once a completed application is received https://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. We do not respond to questions about our dogs sent through email or social media. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We transport by land or air whenever possible. Unless there is definitive documentation our breed and age assessments are based on visual appearances.February 29, 2024, 9:10 pm

Story
We are looking to find a new home for our 17 month golden retriever, Teddy. He has been with us since he was eight weeks old and by all accounts is a very good dog, but at this time it is not a good fit for our family. We are hoping to find someone that is looking for a puppy and that has time and energy to walk and run him and give him the attention he deserves. Some great things about Teddy are that he is very gentle with kids, and is not aggressive in any form, he very, very, rarely barks, does well on the leash, is house trained without accidents, and knows a few commands. He will follow a command from my four year old to wait and stay to eat his food until she gives the okay. He is comfortable sleeping in the kennel and is not high maintenance. He is a very smart dog and picks things up quickly.
