Meet Petunia, an easygoing, moderately energetic lab mix, aged between 3 and 5 years. With her sleek black coat and expressive “puppy dog” eyes, she’s sublimely sweet and supremely smart. Thriving on the constant companionship of her foster family, Petunia puts the “l” into loving and loyal, and loves nothing more than being by her people’s side. Famously fond of butt scratches and snuggles, she also loves walks, gets along well with her 3 doggy foster friends and does equally well with children. Clearly someone’s pet at one time, Petunia found herself abandoned in West Virginia and is now located in Michigan. Despite having a cleft lip, which only adds to her appeal, it neither limits her ability to eat dry dog food and drink perfectly well nor stifles her spirit for living life to the fullest. Preferring a home without cats, Petunia is fully housetrained, knows how to use a doggy door, and will bloom in a forever home that loves loving as much as she does. He has been very quiet and calm inside his kennel but when he gets in the yard, he lets his freak flag fly! MILO is a lover of humans and has done very well with other dogs in our facility. He's a ball chaser but not necessarily a bringer backer. That's ok with us because he's handsome and sweet! MILO is food motivated and knows some basic commands. SOCKS #6776 is female lab mix, weighing 57 pounds and is estimated to be a year old. The veterinarian believes that she has been spayed. This sweet babe is a little shy at first but she warms up quickly! In her kennel, she lays quietly but alert with her pretty speckled paws crossed. SOCKS takes her treats very gently and loves the company of people! She has done very well with other dogs in our facility and has been excellent on a leash as well as knowing some basic commands. I originally adopted Ace from the Cleveland APL, I was afraid with him being a wild child and being mouthy and stuck in a kennel he might get deemed unadoptable. Due to losing my job and having to move into a smaller home I am unable to give him what he needs attention wise and financially. He is heart worm negative but due to having heart worm in the past he needs specific flea and tick preventions but that’s it! He loves to go on walks and play fetch, he also loves to snuggle in bed or on the couch. His stuffed ball is his absolute favorite, he is able to jump fences so he would need a tall fence or to be supervised while outside ! He enjoys playing with other dogs, but no small pets. He is good with kids 10 and older as they aren’t too small for him to knock down.
