Story
Rossco is a very handsome, fun yet calm, loving lab pittie mix. He loves to sit on the porch and spend time outside (only during the summer- lol) just as much as he loves being an indoor pampered pooch. He wants to be a little lap dog and will even climb onto your lap for hugs and kisses! Rossco is a great guard dog (barks only at strangers and people he does not know), but don't worry he's very friendly and sweet to his family. He does require a fenced in yard and a home with no cats. He is a good dog looking for a good home, let us know if you think he would be a good fit for you! Don't let the amount of time he has been with us deter you from meeting him. There were extenuating circumstances in his case and he was returned to us from his previous adopter, but he really is an amazing dog, and we are not just saying that! Story
My girlfriend from 2018 adopted Charlie from the pound. We have since split and I work too many hours to provide and care for her. She is a really good dog, house trained and healthy other than her weight from inactivity because I don’t have the time. She deserves a loving home.

Story
This is Dash. I adopted him from a shelter. He is a "cell dog" which means he was trained by an inmate. He has retained all his training - "sit, come, stay, down, roll-over, give paw, give high 5, drop it". He's just a year old. He is a good boy but a bit of a bull in a china shop. He has accidentially knocked me over. He is my baby but sadly I've come to realize he's just too big for me to handle. He is great with kids, other dogs and cats. He wants to play all the time. He is good on a runner. He is more energenic than I can handle as I am 69 years young!!! He needs some more leash training as he tends to drag me, but then again I'm 69. I have a harness for him but he hasn't adjusted to it and I struggle to get it on him. He loves pepperoni and will roll over, sit or high 5 for a piece. I will simply give him to someone willing to provide him with the energy outlet that I cannot.

Story
Roxy is a house trained, crate trained and does well with other dogs, cats and dog educated children.* She came to us as a retired breeder mom. We ran all our testing on intake and she was found to be heartworm positive so she was treated. She has finished her treatments and she is scheduled to be spayed in July. Her adoption fee is $ 200.00 which includes her spay at our vet, microchipping, deworming, vaccinations and heartworm/lyme testing. If you want to meet Roxy with hopes to make her part of your family, be sure to FIRST apply on our website for approval: https://www.theroadhomeanimalproject.org/companion-adoption-form-pdf.html If you are out of the area, you will be required to spay her and provide proof of spay within a prearranged time frame. *Note: Ideally, ALL members of the family (canine and human alike) should be present for any meet and greet unless otherwise specified/discussed. Please remember that we are a board of entirely volunteers that have full time jobs as well as our rescue passion. So, be patient with us and check out our Facebook page for more information and photo updates: facebook.com/trhap2014
