Story
Meet Naila! Naila is a young Lab/Boxer mix with a smile big enough to light up the whole room. Her start in life wasn’t easy — she was found abandoned in a hot car alongside a small dog friend and then spent six long months in a shelter with no adoption interest. But despite everything, Naila’s spirit never dimmed. During her shelter stay, Naila battled severe chronic ear infections that eventually required a TECA (total ear canal ablation) surgery in her right ear, leaving her deaf on that side. But don’t worry — this brave girl doesn’t let it slow her down one bit! She’s adapted beautifully and gets around with confidence, joy, and her signature goofy wiggle. Naila is pure sunshine. She loves people, leans in for affection, and greets everyone like a long-lost friend. She’s a silly, happy soul who enjoys playtime, belly rubs, and simply being near her humans. Naila does wonderfully with male dogs her size or smaller and would love a canine buddy who matches her friendly energy but would also be just fine as the only pet. Because Naila is a playful gal we think older children would best suit her.  Naila is looking for a loving home that will cherish her, celebrate her resilience, and give her the happy, safe life she has always deserved. She is working hard on her crate training, leash skills and basic obedience while she stays with us to help her be successful in a forever home.  Adoption fee includes; spay/neuter, microchip, microchip registration, dewormer, fecal testing, flea/tick prevention and age-appropriate vaccines. Naila would do great in a home with...Cats : Dogs : Prefers male dogs Kiddos : 10+   ##2588006##

Story
Shadow is a neutered lab/gsd mix who is a year and 3 months old. He’s the most affectionate & loving dog I’ve ever met! He loves to cuddle, explore outside, & play. He’s also very smart, learns easily, & wants to please. It breaks my heart to rehome him, but due to an unexpected move to a studio apartment & my older dog starting to develop hip dysplasia, I think it is best. He is extremely playful and she no longer wants to play with him often due to her hip hurting. He knows basic commands like sit, stay, & leave it. He is house & crate trained and knows “go to your crate.” I have also started muzzle training as a precaution because he is fearful at the vet. He can be anxious in new situations, however, he has gotten less anxious through exposure & training I have done with him. He’d be happiest in a single dog household with a yard where he can get all the attention & play often. I will include his crate, blanket, favorite toys & harness to help with his transition.

Story
Kiki is a 2 year old Labrador Retriever. We took her in when her family could no longer care for her. As trainers, we are giving her training prior to adoption and will include going over that training with the new adopters. She is a happy go lucky, sweet pup! She is shy when first meeting new people but warms up. Has lived with children before. We were told she did well with them but are unsure due to how timid she is upon meeting people. It’s apparent Kiki had a heavy-handed person previously. She needs a patient family willing to build trust. She prefers a home with another dog of similar size but ideally a neutered male to prevent future competition and rivalry (common with same sexed dogs), although Kiki has lived with other female dogs before. She was very attached to the other male dog in her previous home. Kiki just saw the vet and vaccines are updated. Whomever adopts her will be required to sign a spay contract and spay her. She cannot be bred. Please call 541-337-1752.

Story
Born in March 2020 Gus is a 75 lb Love Bug.I began fostering him recently when his family fell on hard times and could no longer care for him.He is neutered and up to date on vaccinations.100% housetrained and knows how to use doggie door.If no doggie door available he will just keep coming back to you untill you offer to let him out .Gus adores cats (his prior home , he was only dog with five cats)He does great with my large breed male dog but has known him since puppyhood .So im not 100% sure how he is with all dogs.Gus to my knowledge has never been around children but I think would do well with children that were old enough to understand that all animals should be treated lovingly. He is a character with a crooked grin and silly personality. Will play ball by his self ,walking around the house bouncing and catching it.He loves toys but does tear them up sometimes. I will be actively teaching him basic commands & manners as he waits for his very own forever home .

Story
Meet Clover – A Gentle Soul with a Forever-Wagging Tail Clover is one of those dogs who quietly steals your heart. With her soft ears, soulful eyes, and tail that never seems to stop wagging, she radiates sweetness and gratitude. Clover doesn’t ask for much—just to be close to her person, feel safe, and be loved. Clover is currently being fostered in a loving home in Seguin, Texas, where she is thriving in her own gentle way. She shares her days with her best friend, a 25 lb Corgi, and the two enjoy calm play, companionship, and cozy moments together. Clover has a naturally submissive, easygoing personality and showed no concern around larger dogs at the shelter. While she hasn’t yet been introduced to kids or cats, her tender spirit suggests she would do best in a calm, loving environment. She is crate-trained and house-trained, rides beautifully in the car, and walks nicely on a leash. Clover isn’t a dog who needs constant activity—she simply wants to be near you. Whether she’s curled up on her dog bed, resting on the couch beside her foster mom, or quietly following you from room to room, Clover’s happiest place is wherever her person is. Clover does have special medical needs that make her story even more meaningful. She has Megaesophagus, which is well managed with a simple feeding routine using frozen, meatball-shaped meals. She also has torn ACLs in both back legs, which are inoperable due to her other medical condition. Because of this, Clover needs a home that can offer a calm, low-impact lifestyle and understand her mobility limitations. Despite everything, Clover remains gentle, loving, and content—asking only for soft beds, routine, and affection. Clover can be a little shy around men at first, but with patience and kind words, she blossoms into a devoted companion. Due to her medical needs, transport would be too difficult for her, so Clover is available for adoption in Texas only. Clover is searching for a special forever home—one that sees past her challenges and straight into her heart. In return, she will offer quiet loyalty, endless love, and a tail that never stops wagging for the family who chooses her. To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link. Story
Meet Charlie! Charlie is an 11-month-old Lab mix weighing in at 60 pounds of pure love and puppy energy! This playful boy is full of life—he loves romping around with other dogs, chasing toys, and soaking up every cuddle he can get. Charlie has all the best puppy qualities: curious, affectionate, goofy, and always ready for fun. He’s potty and crate trained and is eager to learn and aims to please. When playtime is over, he’s happiest curled up next to you for a snuggle session. Charlie does live with a cat but not sure how he would do with one that wanders through the house alone. He is not suited for apartments as he can be noisy in a kennel when left alone for a little bit. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a big heart and even bigger smile, Charlie’s your guy! Playful. Cuddly. Friendly. Everything you love about a puppy in one adorable package. To apply directly for Charlie, push the "Apply for Adoption" button. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-759 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org.
