Story
Hi, I'm Onyx! I'm a cuddly guy that loves nothing more than to be by my person's side!Do you like other dogs? I've gotten along with several dogs that I've met at the shelter, so I might be able to live in a home with another dog. I would need to meet any potential canine housemates before going home with you. What do you think about cats? I have no known history with cats, so I would need to be closely supervised for the first few weeks if I were to go to a home with a cat.So how do you feel about kids? I would do best in a household with older children 8+ who can respect my space. What's your energy level like? My energy level ranges from medium to high! I will settle for a good nap after a long walk outside, but I'm ever-curious about my surroundings and like to know what's going on at all times in the room. I may calm down outside of a shelter setting, but based on behavior observed at Greenhill, potential adopters should be prepared for a dog that requires daily exercise. What is it that staff and volunteers love about you? They love that I love to be snuggled, held, and kissed on my big head! If you're looking for a cuddle buddy as well as an adventurer, I might be your guy!Is there anything else we should know about you? I'm estimated to be around 1 year old and weigh between 60-65lbs. I've been prescribed anti-anxiety meds to help me cope with kennel stress here at the shelter, which I may or may not need to be comfortable in a home. Your veterinarian would be able to help decide if ongoing medication is recommended outside of the shelter.I came into the shelter as a stray and the above information is all recommendations based on my behavior seen at the shelter. I have no known history. Expect to learn more about me after adoption. It is unknown how this animal will do in their new home as all animals can be different with each person. It is important to take this into consideration when thinking about adopting and making sure you are prepared to work with any potential medical or behavior issues that occur after adoption. My adoption fee includes my spay/neuter, current vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, certificate for a free veterinary exam, post-adoption support and more!Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me! If you think we would be a good match come on down and ask to meet me! I'm looking for my forever home and it could be with you!ADOPTION INFORMATION: If you live in the city of Eugene or in Lane County you will be purchasing a dog license in addition to the adoption fee. You will get to choose between a one year, two year, or three year license. This pet is located at Greenhill Humane Society. 88530 Greenhill Road Eugene, OR 97402 (541) 689-1503. Story
Cammy was found on 5/27/23 at 11th Ave & Bertelsen. If you believe this is your missing animal, please contact the shelter at (541) 689-1503. Since this animal is new to the shelter and we are still looking for their family, they are not viewable on the adoption floor at this time. The shelter staff is giving me some time to settle in and adjust to this new place. As we get to know each other a little better, the behavior team and veterinary staff will then be evaluating my needs. Please stay tuned for my updated information! This pet is located at Greenhill Humane Society. 88530 Greenhill Road, Eugene, OR 97402 (541) 689-1503.
