Available in TX only! King is a one year old Basset Hound/Lab mix with a gentle soul and a laid back nature. He is still gaining confidence and can be scared of new things, especially loud noises, but once he feels safe he settles in nicely. When he gets excited he can be a little jumpy, though most of the time he is calm and easygoing. King truly enjoys running around the yard, going on walks, and soaking up outdoor time. He has a playful side and loves playing fetch with frisbees and balls. Tug of war is another favorite game, and he is a big fan of chew time. Knuckle bones, hard chew toys for power chewers, and anything he can safely gnaw on make him very happy. King is crate trained and house trained, which makes him an easy addition to a home. King does have a prey drive and enjoys chasing squirrels and frogs, and he will chase cats, so a cat free home is recommended. He also has a sensitive stomach and does best on sensitive stomach dog food. King would thrive in a patient, understanding home that will give him time to build confidence and continue showing him the world is a safe place. Meet the Autumn Bakery Puppies  These four, sweet little survivors were found as strays at an incredibly young age. Given how tiny they were when they were found, we suspect they may have been abandoned. They were too young to eat on their own and needed to be bottle-fed by shelter staff until they were old enough to transition to solid food. Thankfully, those days are behind them! All four puppies are now safe, growing, thriving, and showing just how sweet they are. While we don’t know exactly what breeds make up these adorable pups, we suspect there may be some Lab and Husky in the mix. One thing we do know is that they are likely to grow into medium-to-large-sized dogs. These babies are now at the perfect age to find their families and begin the important journey of training, socialization, and learning how to be confident, well-balanced adult dogs. They’ll need families who are ready for the time, patience, exercise, training, and love that comes with raising a puppy but in return, they have so much love to give! After such a rough start, these four deserve the very best futures. They are safe, they are sweet, and they are ready to find families of their own. ***COURTESY POST***  Tsuki! Meet Tsuki -which means moon in Japanese. This beautiful puppy was adopted from a shelter in Los Angeles and returned just a few days later. She spent almost 2 months, a third of her life at that shelter waiting for someone to notice her. But as you probably already know, our shelters are crowded and forever homes are precious. And so she waited day after day, week after week for someone to notice her. Now she’s safe with Love Leo Rescue and is looking for a forever home in Eugene, Oregon. She is roughly 6 to 8 months old now and around 35 pounds. We think she’ll be about 50 pounds at maturity. We’re not sure what her breed is, but she’s an awesome dog: athletic, intelligent and eager to please. She does well with dogs of all sizes including tiny dogs and big dogs. She loves going for walks and doing zoomies with her friends. Tsuki can be a little shy when meeting new people and dogs so she needs a family who will be patient with her and give her the time and space to gain confidence and become the best dog she can be.
