Story
We adopted shadow from the spca when he was 1. He came from a domestic violence household. Shadow is the type of dog that will sit with you on the couch for hours, he loves to sleep but when you sleep he prepares for him to be all up on you or in between your legs he thinks he’s a lap dog. He’s the laziest but most energetic dog you’ll meet. He’ll sleep all day but when you go outside he loves running around. He loves going on walks, going to the dog park, loves going to pet smart as well as loves chasing squirrels. He loves to play with other days as well as other cats. He is crate trained we started working on house trained and he has the freedom during the night to go anywhere in the house but we will leave him out no more that 2 hours when we are not home. We would love to keep him but with our work schedules it’s not fair for him to be in a crate majority of the day. He will come with a crate treats as well as food. We want to make sure he goes to a good home.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Coaly, a 5-month-old Lab mix with a sleek, shiny black coat that makes her an absolute showstopper! This girl is full of puppy energy and spends her days zooming around and playing with the other dog in her foster home. Always ready for fun, Coaly takes her job of fetching (especially her beloved stuffies) very seriously. A true social butterfly, Coaly would thrive in a home with another friendly, playful dog—or with a family open to doggy daycare so she can keep her social calendar full. Kids: Coaly adores children! Because of her enthusiastic puppy antics, we recommend a home with older kids who can keep up with her joyful shenanigans. Cats: Coaly is neutral with cats and currently lives peacefully with dog-savvy felines in her foster home. Coaly is working hard on house training and sometimes ends the day with just one little “oops.” Leash training has been limited due to chilly central Pennsylvania weather, but with consistency and a solid routine, she’s expected to do great in her new home. This smart girl is highly motivated by treats, making training both fun and effective as she learns how to grow into a wonderful family companion. Coaly is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives. After a full day of play and puppy adventures, Coaly is more than happy to curl up with her people for some well-earned snuggles. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Luna Ann – a gentle heart looking for her second chance. Luna Ann is searching for a home to call her own again. She came to our rescue as a deeply loved girl whose owner found themselves in a heartbreaking situation and had to make the incredibly difficult decision to let her go. She wasn’t given up because she did anything wrong — sometimes life just changes in ways we can’t control. Despite losing the only home she knew, Luna remains the sweetest, most gentle soul. She does well with other dogs, but she would also be perfectly content being the only dog in the home where she can soak up all the love and snuggles she’s been missing. Luna is truly a girl’s girl. She bonds quickly with women and will happily be your shadow, following you from room to room. Men make her a little nervous at first, so she just needs a little patience and kindness to feel safe. She’s a wonderfully low-maintenance companion who would thrive in a calm, quiet home. Luna walks beautifully on a leash, is completely housetrained, and is crate trained too — although she’s such a good girl that she really doesn’t need one. At 50 pounds, she’s the perfect medium size for couch cuddles, neighborhood walks, and being your loyal best friend. More than anything, Luna is just waiting for someone to see her, love her, and promise she’ll never have to lose her home again. She has so much love left to give — she’s just waiting for the person who will give her the second chance she deserves. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet. Story
Meet Milky Way Milky Way is an estimated 1 1/2 years old (weighs 35 pounds) and came to us as a stray—found on the run, carrying quiet proof that her past wasn’t what it should have been. The small scars on her face tell a story she didn’t choose… but they don’t define who she is.What does define Milky Way?Gratitude. Gentleness. A heart that still believes in people.Since arriving at the shelter, she’s been nothing but sweet with everyone she’s met—soaking up kindness like it’s something brand new. She leans into affection, looks at you with those soft eyes, and reminds you how powerful love can be when it’s finally given freely.Milky Way deserves to know what safety feels like. She deserves consistency, warmth, and a family who shows her that love isn’t something you have to earn—it’s something you’re worthy of. If you’re ready to give a second chance to a dog who will treasure it with her whole heart, Milky Way is ready to meet you. Sometimes the most beautiful souls are the ones who’ve survived the dark—and still choose to shine.
