Story
Newton is a very sweet boy that was surrendered to us this past summer. The people that had him were not able to care for him and requested to surrender. Newton likes most dogs and actually feels more comfortable in the company of other dogs. Newton does very well with women but tends to be fearful of men. That is something that could be worked on with time and patience. Newton is completely vetted, housebroken, and cratetrained. He loves to run and play with both his person and his doggie friends. He loves stuffies, bones, and tug toys. Newton is a great dog that just needs someone to give him a chance.

Story
Little Anton appears to be a small black Lab mix, weighing only 37 lbs.  He is very friendly and sweet-natured.  We think he is about 2 years old.  He has never had a potty accident since he's been there.  He seems to do well with other dogs, but doesn't appear to have been around cats before.  He's playful and such a great size!  He does not do well with children under 12. Story
Sweet and gentle Izzy is seeking her forever home.  She's a 1-year-old mixed-breed girl, we are guessing Lab/Shepherd?  She weighs 50 lbs. and enjoys playing with other dogs. She is very good with our test cat, Waylon.  Izzy is doing great with her housebreaking.  She is a nervous girl, who is scared of noises and new experiences.  She would do best with a confident dog sibling, who could show her that there is nothing to be scared of, and who would keep her company while left alone. Story
Meet Sambuca Sambuca is a 6–7 month old Lab mix puppy who is equal parts playful goofball and gentle sweetheart. She’s black with the cutest touches of white on her chest, chin, and toes—and more photos will be coming soon as she settles in. This girl plays hard and loves harder. She does best with other dogs and would strongly prefer a home with a playful canine companion. Sambuca’s best friend Raleigh is her constant wrestling partner, and having another dog around helps her confidence shine. While she can be a little shy at first, she comes out of her shell very quickly with the help of other dogs. Sambuca is great with dogs, cats, and kids. She is very submissive and gentle, always eager to share your snacks, and loves to sleep fully stretched out—often in a classic sploot. She is still very much a typical puppy and will need basic training along with continued potty training, but she’s eager to learn and ready to grow with her future family. Sambuca joined us from animal control severely emaciated and has come such a long way already. Her resilience, sweetness, and playful spirit make her truly special. If you’re looking for a loving, fun puppy who will continue to blossom in the right home, Sambuca may be the perfect match. Story
Jack ended up at an animal control when his family was evicted. Sadly, his people were unable to reclaim him. A shelter employees reached out to us, asking if we could pull him as he was a special favorite of hers. This dog is the sweetest. He lives being with people, and will shake a toy and do a happy dance when you approach. He seems to be in pretty good health, except that he does have impaired vision and will sometimes bump into things if not supervised. Jack is housetrained and has lived either a puppy. He tested well with a cat here. We've had him vaccinated, heartworm tested, and neutered. 240 522 7416 for information about adopting.
