Story
Max is a goofy, loveable doggo looking for a committed owner, friend and companion. After being returned from his adopters in June, Max has found himself figuing out how to trust people in the comfort of his foster home but it's time he go out into the world to meet his people. Max's foster family knows that the right home for Max includes the following things; 1. Daily walks to help him focus, bond and feel comfortable in his new world. 2. A crate in a quiet place where he can get a good night's rest 3. Enrichment toys and games so he can have a safe outlet for his strong desire to chew 4. Slow introductions to new people and dogs so he can feel safe and not like he has to protect himself and his family. Max is kid friendly but homes with kids usualy come with unpredictable chaos, so a home without children will probably be best for him. He has so much love to give someone who will give him a chance, and commit to working with him to make him feel safe. He's housebroken, crate trained and great in boarding or at Doggy Day Care. He is a playful dog so if your dog is looking for a new bestie, Max is your guy! Bottom line, If you're looking for a velcro dog who will repay you in droves for giving him a home, Max is your guy! ##2310445##

Story
Newton is a very sweet boy that was surrendered to us this past summer. The people that had him were not able to care for him and requested to surrender. Newton likes most dogs and actually feels more comfortable in the company of other dogs. Newton does very well with women but tends to be fearful of men. That is something that could be worked on with time and patience. Newton is completely vetted, housebroken, and cratetrained. He loves to run and play with both his person and his doggie friends. He loves stuffies, bones, and tug toys. Newton is a great dog that just needs someone to give him a chance.

Story
Ivan is a gorgeous, ~3 year old, 65lb boy. We think he's a Lab / Carolina Dog mix based on his features. Regardless of breed, he’s a loyal guy looking for his forever human(s). Housetrained: Yes!Cratetrained: Yes!Neutered: Yes!Up to date on shots: Yes!Key fact: Ivan LOVES people. He adores head scratches and sitting near you.Favorite indoor activity: bones, bones, bones!!Favorite outdoor activity: zooming in the yard or helping my foster mom with gardeningDogs: Ivan would like to be your one and only Cats: Ivan thinks they are food, so no cats! When you're home, he loves to be with you and would happily keep you company while you do cook, watch tv, read, garden, or soak up the sun. He is also content chewing a bone or enjoying a kong. He has also stepped up his napping game. If you have a sectional, Ivan loves to snooze on the chaise while you snooze on the main part of the couch. Given his size and his personality, we are requiring a single family home with a fenced in yard or a home that would provide him with space to run! Older kids would be fine for Ivan. He can get excited and sometimes jump - please be willing to continue his training with this - so we feel best if his home doesn't have younger children or those unstable on their feet.  He is working on knowing that sitting calm = happy humans and/or treatos. Ivan is a boy with a heart of gold who will love you beyond measure. He may win you over when he leans into you, somehow both giving and requesting love. He deserves someone who will be patient with him. And give lots of pets and head kisses, which are his favorite. If you think this could be you, please apply for him today. Story
Jacey is a 1.5-year-old, 56-lb Lab/Bully mix with a joyful spirit and a heart full of love. Sweet, playful, and easy to live with, she’s the kind of dog who quickly feels like part of the family. While no pup is perfect, with a little continued training Jacey will be very close! Jacey loves her toys (seriously—she loves toys) and enjoys interactive play with her people, but she’s also great at entertaining herself. She’s respectful in the home and leaves things that aren’t hers alone—even plush decorations and holiday décor on the floor. She’s housetrained and understands that potty time happens outside, even if she doesn’t follow a strict schedule yet. Handling is a breeze with Jacey—she’s happy to have her paws wiped, be brushed, or soak up all the affection you want to give. An athlete at heart, she sprints, gallops, and twists herself into adorable “pretzel” positions for belly rubs. When playtime is over, she’s all about cuddling on the couch and makes an excellent snuggle buddy. Who needs an electric blanket when you have Jacey? She is crate trained and does wonderfully both during the day and overnight. Jacey is non-destructive, doesn’t jump, and knows basic commands like sit and wait. Overall, she’s a very manageable, loving companion. Jacey enjoys colder weather and absolutely loves playing in the snow. Loud, unexpected noises (like plastic bags or passing cars) can make her a bit nervous, but she doesn't mind the vacuum, roomba and even NYE fireworks. She can be shy when meeting new people and does best with slow, calm introductions, so a quieter home with older children would likely suit her best. She has some prey drive and will chase birds and rabbits, so a fenced-in yard is needed—especially since she loves to run. Jacey has shown curiosity in other dogs and did well with dogs at the shelter, but she is not currently fostered with another dog. She was also cat tested and didn’t seem bothered, so with proper introductions and a dog-savvy cat who won’t run, coexistence may be possible. She is still learning she doesn't need to pull on the leash, but with consistent training, her leash skills and confidence will continue to grow. Jacey is a lovable, playful, snuggly girl who just needs the right home to truly shine. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will warm your heart (and your couch), Jacey may be the one. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and is available for adoption now through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA KL# 16182.  ##2622554##

Story
Say hello to Mike, the 3-year-old, 60 lb Labrador Retriever mix who never goes anywhere without his favorite toy. If you spot a dog proudly trotting around with a stuffie in his mouth… it’s probably Mike. He’s the full package — affectionate, loyal, and happiest when he’s close to his people. Whether you’re headed out for a drive or settling in on the couch, Mike is right there with you. He rides beautifully in the car, takes baths like a gentleman, and is fully house trained. Mike prefers slow introductions with other dogs and would do best in a home without small animals, but with humans? He’s all in. If you’ve been waiting for a snuggly, toy-toting best friend, Mike might be the one.

Story
Miss Summer girl is an absolute delight! She caught my eye because she's got a gorgeous tan and white coat and the sweetest eyes that lovingly stare up at you. She can be a little bit energetic but as soon as treats are involved she plops her butt down into the most patient sit. She let me put whatever props I wanted on her and was truly unphased. If you get down to her level she gets soooo excited and will maul you with kisses! Truly just the sweetest, happiest girl. On her temp test with two other dogs she was nothing but friendly and happy to be included. I truly think she would be so adjustable and vibe with any household!

Story
Meet Benny! Benny is an approximately 3-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer mix with a striking black-and-white coat, beautifully dotted with spots. He’s friendly with absolutely everyone he meets—this boy doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. Affectionate, eager to please, and full of love, Benny is wonderful with dogs, cats, and kids alike. Benny came to our rescue needing emergency surgery for a urinary blockage and stones. He was very underweight at the time and is still working on filling out, but his surgery was a success. To keep him healthy long-term, Benny will need to stay on a prescription urinary diet for life. He also benefits from more frequent potty breaks, and when that isn’t possible, he does great wearing a belly band. True to his GSP roots, couch potatoes need not apply—Benny is full of energy! He lives for fetch and will happily play as long as you’re willing to throw. Toss him a toy and he’ll leap into the air to catch it—he’s incredibly athletic. Super-chewer toys are best for this guy; soft toys don’t stand a chance. When playtime winds down, Benny transforms into a snuggly lap dog. He loves curling up under a blanket with his people and soaking up all the affection he can get. Benny is also crate trained. He eats his meals in his crate, and he sleeps soundly and quietly in his crate every night, making him a great option for those looking for a well-behaved, crate-comfortable companion. Whoever adopts Benny will be incredibly lucky—he truly is the best dog. If you’re looking for a joyful, loving companion with a big heart, boundless energy, and the ability to settle down when needed, Benny may be your perfect match!
