Queenie came from a horrible situation where she was left outside in a crate for most of her life. She had to have 14 teeth pulled from wearing them down by eating her crate. Since being with us she has been the happiest girl who loves attention from her humans. She is very affectionate and sweet. Queenie would love to become a part of your family!

Story
Buddy is an inquisitive 5-year-old lab/hound mix. He absolutely loves to be outside, nose to the ground, exploring his surroundings. It takes some time for Buddy to get used to a person and he can be a really protective dog when it comes to those he is fond of. Once he gets to know you, Buddy loves to spend time with you. He is content to be around other dogs and loves to take a nap. He has the perfect energy balance of excitement when outside, but calm and quiet inside. Due to his protective nature, Buddy has a couple of biting incidents in his history. He would benefit from a force free trainer and leash training as well. He is only around 6 months old so he will need someone that is willing to put the time in and work with him on his training! Newton is a very sweet boy that was surrendered to us this past summer. The people that had him were not able to care for him and requested to surrender. Newton likes most dogs and actually feels more comfortable in the company of other dogs. Newton does very well with women but tends to be fearful of men. That is something that could be worked on with time and patience. Newton is completely vetted, housebroken, and cratetrained. He loves to run and play with both his person and his doggie friends. He loves stuffies, bones, and tug toys. Newton is a great dog that just needs someone to give him a chance.

Meet Magnolia—affectionately known to our staff as Grandma! This beautiful 14-year-old unaltered female Lab mix came to us as a stray from Somerset, and she has completely won our hearts ever since. Magnolia is the definition of a gentle soul. She loves being around people and has a calm, comforting presence that makes everyone who meets her fall in love. As an older gal, she spends much of her day curled up on cozy blankets enjoying her well-deserved naps—but don’t let her age fool you! Magnolia still enjoys leisurely strolls and even surprises us with short, joyful bursts of zoomies. She doesn’t seem to mind the company of other dogs, though we do require a meet-and-greet with any dogs already in the home to ensure everyone gets along. We’re not sure how she feels about cats yet, but we’re more than happy to provide a cat test upon request. If you’re looking for a sweet, mellow companion with a heart full of love, Magnolia may be the perfect addition to your family.
