Hi, my name is Quilliam and I am just a lazy guy, although when other pups start singing I can't help but sing with them! I hate taking my medicine, I also get a little nippy whenever you touch my rear end, and sometimes my ears are a little sensitive. I came from an owner who didn't love me like I deserve so I'm sorry ahead of time. I know I'm a little bit of a rocky guy, but whenever you get to know me I'd like to say I'm pretty friendly and playful! Also as you may notice I'm just slightly overweight so I would greatly appreciate it if you would take me on my daily walks, it is my favorite time of day! I'm okay with other furry friends, but I would just watch the little ones around me, I hurt a lot for a pup. I had driven over 4 hours down to West Virginia to get a dog that was sold online as a pure breed pitbull. Well once my girlfriend and I got there Koda is who met us. He is very energetic playful and loves to go for runs and be out in the country. Can be hesitant around other dogs but gets along with a few of our friends dogs. He is 6 months old now birthday on March 25th. Roughly 40 pounds but believes he is as light as feather. Ideally id like him to find a home where someone can be with him more and give him the extra time for his energy. He is a very charming and loving dog.

Luther arrived at NCCR on 9/18/26, transferred locally after being found as a stray. He is an approximately 1-2 year old neutered male retriever mix, weighing in at about 53 Ibs. He is believed to also have some hound in his mix - he loves to sniff everything and investigate all the smells he can find. He also has a BIG booming bark to alert you to cars or people approaching the building - it's a great deterent to unwanted intruders, so he will be a great watchdog. He was a little anxious about meeting new people, but he is coming around with some TLC and learning that meeting new friends can be a great thing!Luther has definitely had some training previously. He already knows some basic commands, walks nicely on a leash, and seems to be house trained. He enjoys playing with his toys, but his favorite thing is cuddling up for petting. Luther has a velvety soft coat. He is hoping to find a kind and loving forever family to call his own soon!*Approved applicants are welcome to participate in our popular Slumber Party program and take a dog home for up to 2 weeks to make sure he is a great fit.If you think you might be interested in adopting, your first step should be to complete an Adoption Application at www.caninerescue.org. *After you have completed your application, you will get a confirmation that we have received your application.
