Story
Meet Cotton! Cotton is a very high-energy dog and would do well with a big yard and another dog to play with. He loves belly rubs! To meet one of our adoptable pets or to start the adoption process, please access the adoption application on our website, www.crossroadsanimalrescue.org or download and email it to crossroadsanimalrescuesc@gmail.com. We will then approve you (sending in the application does not obligate you to adopt) and we can set up a time for you to meet one or more of our pets. You can then pay the adoption fee and officially adopt after meeting your new family member. Alternatively, you can do the adoption over the phone before meeting your new pet. The benefit to this is that we will hold the pet for you. However, the adoption fee is non-refundable if you changed your mind after adopting over the phone. Most of our pets are obtained from animal control and therefore we are not certain of their breed or breed mix. We list breed mixes that they most resemble or that their former owners said they were. However, we don't make any guarantees about breed - it is a best guess! Our adoption fees include the spay/neuter surgery, deworming, vet exam, and up to date vaccines. It also includes microchipping as well as heartworm testing or feline leukemia testing. We are happy to adopt out-of-state (and even out of the country!) but transportation for the adopted pet is the responsibility of the new pet owner. If you cannot adopt a pet at this time but would like to support our rescue, please click on the "Sponsor a Pet" button. Your donation will help feed the dogs, cats, small animals, and horses at CARE. Please email at crossroadsanimalrescuesc@gmail.com or call us at (864)972-9906 for more information. This phone number will reach Crossroads Animal Hospital, which is the home of CARE. During business hours, a receptionist will be able to speak with you regarding our adoptable pets. After business hours, the only way to contact CARE is via email. Our puppies and kittens are also eligible for 10% off the rest of the vaccines in their puppy/kitten vaccination series at Crossroads Animal Hospital. Most adult pets are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Puppies and kittens may have the surgery before adoption or we may have new owners return later for the surgery. For more information about CARE and to see our adoption application, go to our website, www.crossroadsanimalrescue.org

Story
A 6-month-old black lab mix with a gentle, affectionate personality and an eagerness to belong to someone special. He came to me through a rehoming situation, and while he has been a wonderful house guest, my resident dog is not adjusting well, so Whiskey needs a new home where he can grow and thrive. Maverick' Best Qualities: 🐾 Friendly, social, and people-loving 🐾 House trained 🐾 Crate trained 🐾 Knows basic commands (he’s solid on “sit” and eager to learn more) 🐾 Playful, curious, and attentive 🐾 Smart, food-motivated, and very trainable Whiskey adapts quickly to new people and new environments. He has that classic lab mix temperament—steady, devoted, and always ready for a walk, a cuddle, or a game of fetch. He would do especially well with: An active person or family, A home ready for a young dog with puppy energy, Someone who loves training and bonding time, Or anyone looking for a loyal companion with tons of potential. He’s medium sized, still growing, with

Story
Meet Harper, a gentle, loyal 10-year-old Lab-Pointer mix with a heart full of love. She's been my faithful companion for years. Harper deserves a home where she can feel safe, relaxed, and free to roam; somewhere with a bit more space and peace than I can currently provide. Harper is a sweet soul who thrives on routine, affection, and calm energy. She loves lying in the sun, going for walks, and curling up nearby just to be close. She’s fully house-trained, well-mannered, and great with gentle people. While she's slowing down a little with age, she still enjoys being active. My living situation has changed, and I can see that she'd be happier in a quieter environment where she can feel secure and comfortable. She deserves a yard to explore, soft grass under her paws, and a family who will give her the calm home.
