He came into a shelter at only 4 months old, and while he’s been safe and cared for in foster, what he truly deserves is a family to call his own. His foster mom shares, “Larry is always happy. His tail wags all day long as he looks at his people with so much love. He adores being coddled and is happiest when he’s surrounded by his favorite things—kids, other dogs, FOOD, and a cozy nap.” Larry is everything you’d want in a puppy—playful, affectionate, and full of personality. Gwennie is an old soul in every sense of the word. Still active, this angelic spirit came into our care without a lot of information. She exudes sweet. She is dainty and playful everyone. She has learned to trust us and when she shines on you - you melt. She came to us from a shelter with every single tooth cracked/rotten or broken. All of her teeth have been removed and the difference in her is remarkable. She is like a puppy again and her face glows. Gwendolyn is special needs because she will need to be with people who will protect her from everything since she can't protect herself. She will also need soft food for the rest of her life. Without teeth, Gwennie has learned to love plush blankets and soft squishy toys (one of the benefits she has learned about her painful mouth being painful no longer). Gwennie is housetrained, but will need a patient home to create boundaries from the kitchen/bathroom counters. She will also need some time to settle in to figure out a safe place to sleep (crating her causes her anxiety). If you are a match for one of our pets, we will reach out to you to schedule a meet and greet. All meet and greets are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY The Animal Protectorates c/o Friendsville Animal Center 706 Kiser Station Road Friendsville, TN 37737 All animals are spayed/neutered, current on age appropriate vaccinations and microchipped before they go to new homes because that's the responsible way to keep them all safe. We only adopt to local homes in the immediate vicinity because we utilize our volunteer force to process home visits. Photos of your home, letters of reference are not acceptable which is why we only adopt locally. Only in very rare circumstances do we adopt out of area. Examples of this would be finding the perfect home for a senior animal or one that has other special needs that we have not been able to place locally for an extended period of time.
