Story
Meet Packer, a lab mix with a unique journey that started on the streets of Texas. Initially rescued by a Texas shelter, he made his way to Knoxville, TN, only to return to his original Texas rescue, which then transferred him to our rescue. Now, Packer is eagerly seeking his forever family. Having experienced significant changes, Packer longs for a stable and loving home to call his own. He is exceptionally people-friendly, showering affection in the form of kisses and seeking to be your loyal companion. While he grapples with separation anxiety, it's understandable given his past; he simply desires a supportive environment where he won't face abandonment again. Packer gets along with other dogs but prefers being the center of attention. Trust is a work in progress for him, and seeing other dogs receive attention is challenging. Packer yearns for the chance to be a dog, to shine, thrive, and become an exceptional companion. His loyalty is unwavering, and he holds a special place among our rescue's favorites. Microchipped, heartworm-negative, up-to-date on shots, and neutered, Packer is ready to embark on a new chapter with a family that will cherish him forever.

Story
We got our girl Sage from her breeder. We got her and her brother from the same litter. She is the sweetest girl with a lot of pent up energy. She has always been extremely anxious and skiddish. Sage is such a sweet and loving girl when she is around adults and loves unlimited attention. She will cuddle all day. she loves people. She is the best cuddle buddy but requires a lot of attention. We have one other dog and a toddler. She is not good with our son, and she is not good with other dogs. She would be best in a home with adults or an elderly person. Please help our family!

Story
Meet Lyra! She is an intelligent lady who enjoys leisurely walks with a friend. As soon as her leash is on, Lyra is ready to get caught up on the latest pee-mail. She bounces from one smell spot to the other. Exploring is one of her favorite things. She is very smart and knows sit/down. She will do anything for a treat. I'm sure she would love to learn new tricks, and would do so very quickly. We don't know what this girl has been through in her short life, but she seems to have had a rough go at it. Lyra doesn't care for strangers, but we've been able to win her over with treats...I'm sure you can too! Since being here, she has opened up to some of the staff and volunteers. After she's gone for a walk, she enjoys a snuggle with one of her friends. Lyra would like a home without children due to her not wanting to share food or toys. She may not want to have frequent visitors over because it takes Lyra a minute to warm up to new people. She's sensitive, quirky, and cute and needs a special home that can respect her boundaries. This girl needs someone to advocate for her special behavioral needs. She values patience and positivity as people get to know her. She has so much love to give, she just needs someone trustworthy to give her a safe space to open up in. If you think Lyra is a good fit for you, ask about meeting her today!Spayed and microchipped. Primary Color: Brown Weight: 35 Age: 2yrs 1mths 3wks
