Story
I got my dog from a local family when he was 6 months old, and he is now 2 years old. He is a Labrador/Coonhound mix and has a very loving and playful personality. He is smart, energetic, affectionate, and very food-motivated. He gets along well with both cats and other dogs, and he is also very friendly with people. He loves playing fetch and being outdoors. He can be a little mischievous at times because he is still young and full of energy, but he is very trainable and eager to please. I am looking for a caring and stable home that can provide him with enough exercise, attention, companionship, and structure. He is a sweet, loyal, and social dog with a big personality.

Story
Whiskey is a little over a year old (born 12/25/25) she is a sweet dog but does not get along with our older dog. They have been in several fights and we can’t seem to get them to get along. She has been around other dogs and not had issues we just think our older dog is not happy with a younger dog. She is 100% house trained and crate trained. She loves fetch and running around in a field but she easily calms down and lounges around. She is about 65 lbs

Story
Rocky came to us with a fractured ankle that made it painful to be his active self. Luckily, he was able to undergo successful ankle surgery and recovering wonderfully. As he completes his physical therapy and board and train at Modified K9, we are hoping to find his forever family. Rocky is resilient, playful, and loving—he'd be so excited to go straight home after training. Personality & Traits ~Energy Level: High ~Great with: Adults; Active home ~Loves: Treat-stuffed Kongs and chasing bouncy toys (when he’s all better) ~Good to Know: Rocky maintains his vibrant puppy energy. It’s important to allow his ankle to heal fully and check with your vet before engaging in strenuous physical activity. Best Home for Rocky Rocky would do best continuing his basic training with an active family and no small children in the home. Low-energy enrichment exercises will keep Rocky’s spirits for now, until he’s finally able to live his best life— showing off his zoomies, leaping for treats, and joining you for all of life’s exciting adventures.

Story
Hi, I’m Zeus! I’m full of puppy energy and love to play. I enjoy staying busy, interacting with my people, and making the most out of every moment. If you’re looking for a dog who’s always up for some fun, I’m your guy. I’m also a bit of a chatter — friendly, expressive, and social in a “just saying hi” kind of way. I’m currently working on potty training and leash training. I know the basics and am making good progress, though I might pull some when I get excited on walks. I’ll do best with a family who enjoys an active lifestyle and can help me continue learning and growing into the great dog I’m meant to be.

Story
Meet Jon Snow!  Don't worry - winter is not getting here any time soon, but Jon Snow IS here, and she is ready for love and companionship! Despite the Jon Snow we may know from that one show, the only thing this gal has in common with him is the sleek black hair. This Jon Snow is not nearly as serious; think of her more as a sweet, goofy, bundle of joy! You can expect to spend many years enjoying this energetic pup’s antics. Better yet, this girl is happy being both an only dog, or having some furry companions, as she has been exposed to other dogs and cats. She also has the BEST ears ever! So, what are you waiting for? Winter? Jon Snow is available for adoption, and ready to find her forever family!   What is Path of Hope Rescue’s Adoption Process? Our adoption process takes on average 7-10 days. Begin by completing the online application. EVERY application receives an email response from us (check your spam folder!). Your personal Matchmaker will contact you, help you find your perfect pup match, and guide you through the process. Meet your potential pup at the home of the foster family (the process may differ slightly for long distance adopters). Bring your potential pup home for a no commitment In Home Trial. In Home Trials are a minimum of (2) nights for a puppy and one week for an adult. Your Matchmaker will check in with you during this time. Sign the adoption paperwork and adopt your new family member! Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue Our adoption process sets us apart. We specialize in learning about you and your family to find just the right fit for you. Our Matchmakers are not only good at what they do; they will also guide you through the entire process.  Our Minimum Adoption Donation is $550 for puppies under a year and $450 for dogs a year and older. We are a WA state registered non-profit and rely heavily on adoption donations to cover the expenses associated with saving lives. Our dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption; microchipped with free lifetime registration; and up to date on DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccinations (when age appropriate) and deworming and heartworm treatment/prevention. Adopters can also earn a $100 training refund if they attend (6) hours of any in person training course.  Long Distance adopters (one hour or more from Spokane) may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option, Puppy Delivery Express, for an additional delivery donation of $250. Puppy Delivery Express currently delivers dogs throughout Washington and to parts of Montana, Idaho, and Oregon. About Path of Hope Rescue At Path of Hope Rescue, our goal is to make EVERY DOG. WANTED. Our two employees and army of volunteers focus on transporting pregnant dogs and puppies from Texas, the number one kill state in America. The dogs we rescue are in poor living conditions and on euthanasia lists in shelters that are inundated with unwanted animals. We want to give these dogs a chance and bring them to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive, loving homes. We are 100% foster based; our dogs are fostered in loving homes where they are house and crate trained and learn basic obedience and leash skills. Dogs experience socialization opportunities with people, places, and other animals, and they receive the attention required to become well-rounded, healthy, and affectionate dogs that they would not otherwise receive in a shelter environment. Our commitment does not end when the dog is adopted. Path of Hope offers post adoption owner support including information on making the dog’s transition to your home a smooth one; recommendations for Preferred Trainers; advice on pet behavior and wellness topics; Facebook litter groups to keep in touch with fellow adopters; and invitations to local rescue hosted events.  Please visit https://www.pathofhoperescue.com/ for more information about our organization and the adoption process.   ##2658086##
