Story
Hi, I'm Arya! I am Arya of the House Waggingtail. First of my name. Breaker of Squeaky Toys. Guardian of the Crate. I may be small in stature for now, but my heart is the size of a great kingdom, and it beats with curiosity. The world is vast and full of mysteries and I long to discover them all. I am watchful at first, quiet as a shadow beneath the table. Strangers must earn my trust, and when they do, they are rewarded with the fiercest loyalty and the gentlest tail wags in all the realm. I am friendly with the noble houses of Cat and Dog alike. I have shared peaceful treaties with whiskered ones and joyful chases with fellow canines. As for the tiny humans, I have yet to meet these creatures. I hear they are curious too. Perhaps one day our kingdoms shall unite. When the day’s adventures are done, I retire to my crate, my cozy castle of blankets. I enter it willingly, for I am crate trained and know it is my place of rest and dreaming.  Though I carry the spirit of a wanderer, I am filled with dreams of home I can call my own. I have an endless supply of love for those who would call themselves my family and my willingness to learn will serve them well. Give me patience, give me kindness, and I shall give you my whole heart. I am Arya. I seek a family worthy of my loyalty, my cuddles, and my legendary tail wags.   What is Path of Hope Rescue’s Adoption Process? Our adoption process takes on average 7-10 days. Begin by completing the online application. EVERY application receives an email response from us (check your spam folder!). Your personal Matchmaker will contact you, help you find your perfect pup match, and guide you through the process. Meet your potential pup at the home of the foster family (the process may differ slightly for long distance adopters). Bring your potential pup home for a no commitment In Home Trial. In Home Trials are a minimum of (2) nights for a puppy and one week for an adult. Your Matchmaker will check in with you during this time. Sign the adoption paperwork and adopt your new family member! Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue Our adoption process sets us apart. We specialize in learning about you and your family to find just the right fit for you. Our Matchmakers are not only good at what they do; they will also guide you through the entire process.  Our Minimum Adoption Donation is $550 for puppies under a year and $450 for dogs a year and older. We are a WA state registered non-profit and rely heavily on adoption donations to cover the expenses associated with saving lives. Our dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption; microchipped with free lifetime registration; and up to date on DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccinations (when age appropriate) and deworming and heartworm treatment/prevention. Adopters can also earn a $100 training refund if they attend (6) hours of any in person training course.  Long Distance adopters (one hour or more from Spokane) may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option, Puppy Delivery Express, for an additional delivery donation of $250. Puppy Delivery Express currently delivers dogs throughout Washington and to parts of Montana, Idaho, and Oregon. About Path of Hope Rescue At Path of Hope Rescue, our goal is to make EVERY DOG. WANTED. Our two employees and army of volunteers focus on transporting pregnant dogs and puppies from Texas, the number one kill state in America. The dogs we rescue are in poor living conditions and on euthanasia lists in shelters that are inundated with unwanted animals. We want to give these dogs a chance and bring them to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive, loving homes. We are 100% foster based; our dogs are fostered in loving homes where they are house and crate trained and learn basic obedience and leash skills. Dogs experience socialization opportunities with people, places, and other animals, and they receive the attention required to become well-rounded, healthy, and affectionate dogs that they would not otherwise receive in a shelter environment. Our commitment does not end when the dog is adopted. Path of Hope offers post adoption owner support including information on making the dog’s transition to your home a smooth one; recommendations for Preferred Trainers; advice on pet behavior and wellness topics; Facebook litter groups to keep in touch with fellow adopters; and invitations to local rescue hosted events.  Please visit https://www.pathofhoperescue.com/ for more information about our organization and the adoption process.   ##2658075##
