Story
Goose is a special boy (8.5 years old). I have had many labs over the past 30 years, and he is the best dog I have ever owned. He is athletic, smart, and extremely loving and loyal. He always looks into your eyes for cues on what to do and how he can be serve you and be your companion. We got him a year after his older brother, Wilson, who went blind from an infection 18 months ago, and he always looks after him and helps to calm him when he is anxious. It breaks my heart to have to put him up for adoption, but he is still very active and is used to the 13 acres property we had for him. Due to divorce, we will both be in apartments. Went through divorce and selling the property.

Story
Venus has been part of our family since we adopted her from PetSmart when she was just one year old. Now at 8 years young, she has grown into a loving, loyal, and wonderfully gentle companion. From the very beginning, Venus has had a calm and affectionate spirit. She absolutely loves attention and will happily soak up all the pets and cuddles you’re willing to give. If you’re looking for a dog who enjoys being near her people, Venus is your girl. One of her favorite things in the world? Car rides! The moment she hears the keys, her ears perk up. She also loves being outside—whether it’s lounging in the sunshine, exploring the yard, or just enjoying the fresh air. She’s happiest when she can relax outdoors or be close to her family. Venus prefers a quieter environment. Loud noises can make her nervous, and when things get too busy or overwhelming, she’ll retreat to her kennel, which she sees as her safe space. She’s very good about settling herself when she needs comfort.

Mr. Remington is about 6 years old now. He is house trained, leash trained, and knows basic commands. He would be best in a home without young children or other dogs. Vaccines up to date and no special needs, neutered and microchipped. He LOVES to cuddle and lay on you, and would love to have a big backyard like he’s used to.

Story
Meet Birdie!   Adoption fee is sponsored Foster or forever home needed!!! This poor gal’s foster was injured, so that has left her with no place to call home - not in the short or long term! She’s a complete sweetheart and is happiest when she’s right at your side. Men are still a little scary to her, so any men in the home will need to be extra sweet to her to earn her trust. Birdie is leash-trained, crate trained, and fully potty trained! Her prey drive is strong, so a cat-free home is best. She would love to be your hiking/walking buddy so that she can bring her giddy energy to your adventures. This little lady is about 2 yrs old, 53 lbs, spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and up to date on vaccines. Her adoption has been sponsored by her injured foster, to help her find a new home fast. If you’re looking for a loyal, outdoorsy companion who will follow you anywhere and always keep life interesting, Birdie is your girl.   Furry Farm Rescue, established in 2017, is a foster home style rescue group in North Idaho. Our primary focus is on abandoned pets in our local shelter system, be it medical, seniors or puppies and provide them with a safe environment to thrive again. All adoptions start with the application, found at thefurryfarmrescue.org   #northidahorescue #savingshelterdogs #savinlivesin25 ##2496956##

Story
Meet Brienne! Brienne recently traveled from Texas to find a new home in the PNW area. Brienne is brand new to our rescue and is currently getting settled into a foster home to begin potty, crate, leash, and obedience training. During this period, we will also be learning more about Brienne’s personality, so be sure to check back for more information! In the meantime, she will be spending her days romping, cuddling, getting lots of playtime, love, and going on new adventures with her foster family, all while growing into a healthy pup! We are currently taking applications for Brienne, who will be able to go home with an adopter soon! Brienne is currently located in a foster home in Spokane, WA, and can be transported to your area! (See information below in the “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue” section).   What is Path of Hope Rescue’s Adoption Process? Our adoption process takes on average 7-10 days. Begin by completing the online application. EVERY application receives an email response from us (check your spam folder!). Your personal Matchmaker will contact you, help you find your perfect pup match, and guide you through the process. Meet your potential pup at the home of the foster family (the process may differ slightly for long distance adopters). Bring your potential pup home for a no commitment In Home Trial. In Home Trials are a minimum of (2) nights for a puppy and one week for an adult. Your Matchmaker will check in with you during this time. Sign the adoption paperwork and adopt your new family member! Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue Our adoption process sets us apart. We specialize in learning about you and your family to find just the right fit for you. Our Matchmakers are not only good at what they do; they will also guide you through the entire process.  Our Minimum Adoption Donation is $550 for puppies under a year and $450 for dogs a year and older. We are a WA state registered non-profit and rely heavily on adoption donations to cover the expenses associated with saving lives. Our dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption; microchipped with free lifetime registration; and up to date on DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccinations (when age appropriate) and deworming and heartworm treatment/prevention. Adopters can also earn a $100 training refund if they attend (6) hours of any in person training course.  Long Distance adopters (one hour or more from Spokane) may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option, Puppy Delivery Express, for an additional delivery donation of $250. Puppy Delivery Express currently delivers dogs throughout Washington and to parts of Montana, Idaho, and Oregon. About Path of Hope Rescue At Path of Hope Rescue, our goal is to make EVERY DOG. WANTED. Our two employees and army of volunteers focus on transporting pregnant dogs and puppies from Texas, the number one kill state in America. The dogs we rescue are in poor living conditions and on euthanasia lists in shelters that are inundated with unwanted animals. We want to give these dogs a chance and bring them to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive, loving homes. We are 100% foster based; our dogs are fostered in loving homes where they are house and crate trained and learn basic obedience and leash skills. Dogs experience socialization opportunities with people, places, and other animals, and they receive the attention required to become well-rounded, healthy, and affectionate dogs that they would not otherwise receive in a shelter environment. Our commitment does not end when the dog is adopted. Path of Hope offers post adoption owner support including information on making the dog’s transition to your home a smooth one; recommendations for Preferred Trainers; advice on pet behavior and wellness topics; Facebook litter groups to keep in touch with fellow adopters; and invitations to local rescue hosted events.  Please visit https://www.pathofhoperescue.com/ for more information about our organization and the adoption process.   ##2658079##
