Please share! Living in a crate is not a life. Sara needs the right home soon. We are worried what fate awaits her. Sara is 1 year old, sweet and loving. She does great with dogs, cats and people. What else could you want? However this gorgeous girl has a bit of containment anxiety or a love of roaming. If not contained , she will roam. If you Google livestock guarding dogs, they do tend to roam. Sara has that tendency. She will need someone dedicated to keeping her close, and carefully managing her. Sara will climb a fence, so this means she will have to wear a harness and collar on walks and they are connected. No off leash time in fenced areas until she learns she has landed in a home and has a solid recall. Right now Sara mostly lives in a crate. She is housetrained and loves snuggling. She is a Colorado dog, and we are stepping in to help save her. Please share her! Email us at SummitDogRescue@gmail.com if you have questions or think you might be up for helping Sara.

Story
Peggy is an 8.5-month-old Great Pyrenees who is sweet, affectionate, and loves all humans. She does well playing with other large dogs and is spayed, fully vaccinated, potty trained, and knows basic commands like sit and come. She has shown aggression toward small dogs and small animals, so she would do best in a farm or rural home or a home without small pets. Due to being in graduate school, I don’t have the time needed for the level of training and management she deserves.

Story
Steve and Nancy have arrived and oh boy are they cute (and floofy)!! Steve is guessed to be a great Pyrenees mix with some husky? is our best guess.. He will grow to a large dog, he is already a big puppy! So far he is very sweet and gentle and will make for a wonderful family dog. He is the more shy one of the two in the litter so will need some patience as he adjusts to life outside of the shelter. He is super playful and curious - he loves people watching and exploring! He loves playing with other dogs. And, he loves to play with toys and snuggle- his favorite activity is belly rubs! Due to his size, we do recommend no super young kids in the home. More details to come! All POSO Dogs come with: - Spayed/Neutered - Basic Shots (age appropriate) - Fecal and 4dx testing - other medical concerns addressed before adoption - 2 Free one on one dog training sessions with a professional dog trainer - Training received in foster home - Basic things like some food, treats, leash and collar - PDFs of training material and local coupons and dog sitter recommendations

Story
Ashley is a purebred Armenian Gampr but they don't have that option on adopt a pet They are an ancient breed that is not very common in the United States, but they are very common in Southern California where there's a large Armenian population so quite a few end up at the kill shelters and even though she was very adoptable and sweet at the shelter, that shelter gives dogs and average of 15 days to find a home before they are euthanized for space. She is young, healthy and vibrant and very affectionate with every new person she meets, she is so social and just loves all humans. She is a big energetic girl and she is a lot of dog so she needs a strong owner who is confident. She has gotten along well with some of my easy going dogs but she doesn't get along with all dogs. She is a very dominant female and if any dog snapped at her age would definitely snap back. Looking for a pet home for her, we don't know if she is okay with livestock but she is not good with cats.. Please email if interested and tell me about yourself
