Story
Meet Miss Lady Miss Lady has this whole “adulting” thing figured out. She’s crate trained, housebroken, walks beautifully on a leash, sleeps through the night, and generally asks very little of her people. She’s low to medium energy, low maintenance, and would much rather enjoy a peaceful life than participate in unnecessary chaos. Basically, she’s the dog equivalent of someone who pays her bills on time and avoids drama. Before coming to New Jersey, Miss Lady lived in a Texas foster home where she had the luxury of roaming a farm with about 30 other dogs. Leashes weren’t really necessary when you had acres to explore and an entire canine neighborhood! Now she’s adjusting to suburban New Jersey life — a smaller backyard, a new routine, and a foster brother whose preferred method of friendship is enthusiastic, high-energy, and very much IN YOUR FACE. Miss Lady is handling it like a lady. She and her foster brother do wonderfully together on walks, and they’re taking their time getting to know one another inside the house and in the backyard. And that brings us to the most important thing we’ve learned about Miss Lady: patience is the key to her heart. She’s an introvert at heart and doesn’t need — or want — to rush into relationships with people or other dogs. Give her the time and space to figure things out on her own terms, and she does beautifully. Her ideal home will understand that she likes having her own little “Zen zone” where she can retreat when she’s had enough socializing. Frankly, we can relate. At night, she happily sleeps gated in her own room and doesn’t make a peep. She’s even joined her foster mom at the “office” while she works from home and has proven herself to be an excellent coworker: quiet, respectful, and never once needing to be muted during a Zoom call. Miss Lady isn’t looking to be the life of the party. She’s looking for people who appreciate a sweet, easygoing girl, will let her settle in at her own pace, and understand that sometimes the best relationships aren’t instant — they’re the ones that are allowed to grow.
