Story
BEETHOVEN — AS TOLD BY GUMBO “He’s large, he’s loud, and he’s one strong breeze away from filing a noise complaint on himself.” — Gumbo Behold, humans. This is Beethoven, the walking symphony of fur, enthusiasm, and questionable decision-making. This man is part something giant, part something majestic, and part “how is there this much hair on one creature?” Let’s discuss his… vibe: Movement Style: Majestic elk that forgot how legs work halfway through the journey. Size: Technically classified as a dog. Emotionally classified as a small horse. Personality: Friendly? Absolutely. Goofy? Without question. Capable of knocking you over with one joyful greeting? Also yes. Knows he’s handsome? Oh, painfully. Now, a word from Legal (that’s me): Beethoven shows too much interest in cats for us to pretend he’s “cat friendly.” He looks at cats the same way people look at fresh brownies — with curiosity and a sprinkle of bad intentions. So we’re calling him: Cat-free home only (Unless your cat is 200 pounds and came here to collect debts.) Who is Beethoven perfect for? Someone who wants: A big, loyal, affectionate shadow A dog who hugs with his whole body A hiking buddy who doubles as wilderness protection A furry best friend with movie-star looks and sitcom energy A canine warm blanket in the winter A personal bodyguard who also eats sticks Not ideal for: Cats Tiny children he might accidentally bulldoze People who enjoy clean clothing Beethoven is ready to be someone’s best friend, oversized pillow, and woodland adventure partner. Adopt Beethoven today. Upgrade your life to Premium Giant Fluff Edition™. Adoption Fee: 250 Apply here: https://forms.gle/emAhij7FiTcZuvHA6 Currently in AL, but can be transported to New England states for $200.00. Story
Meet Belmont! This gentle guy has recently entered foster care with Every Last One Rescue. Belmont is what I can only describe as a gentle giant. In just a few days, he’s made it very clear—this boy is something special. He’s all full-body wiggles and gentle lean-ins for pets, with the sweetest, happiest energy. Despite his size, Belmont is an absolute gentleman. He walks beautifully on leash without pulling, and is completely neutral passing both people and dogs. There’s no stranger danger here—he’s more than happy to accept love from anyone willing to give it. Inside the home, Belmont settled almost immediately, calmly entertaining himself with toys and equally seeking out attention from his people. He strikes that perfect balance of being affectionate and independent—you get the sense he’d be happy to shadow you around all day, but also totally capable of doing his own thing. He appears to be fully potty trained with no accidents so far and has been fantastic in the crate, sleeping through the night and settling quickly when left alone. He already knows “sit” and “down” and shows a playful, puppy-like side with some gentle mouthiness, which—combined with his demeanor—makes us think he may be closer to 2 y/o rather than 4. We suspect Belmont to be a purebred Leonberger (awaiting DNA results for confirmation), and with that comes a need for regular grooming. Belmont has been incredibly tolerant with handling, bathing, and brushing—even falling asleep during his blow dry—which speaks volumes about his easygoing nature. Belmont truly feels like one of those rare, “how did you end up here?” dogs. He’s gentle, confident, affectionate, and just so easy to be around. If you’re looking for a big, beautiful companion who can go from playful fetch sessions to couch snuggles without missing a beat, Belmont might be your perfect match ##2684349##

Earl's basic bio is below, but we maintain more detailed information about each of our animals on our website, which is also always up to date with animals removed immediately once they are adopted. Please visit Earl's page on our site (https://www.muddypawsrescue.org/adoptable?dog=009629) to learn even more about Earl! Additionally, please note that the breed listed for Earl is just our best guess based on the dog's physical features. We cannot make any guarantees about the accuracy of our guesses. PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO VOLUME, WE ARE GENERALLY UNABLE TO RESPOND TO INQUIRIES MADE USING THE 'ASK ABOUT ME' BUTTON. Please reach out to us directly using the contact information on our website: www.muddypawsrescue.org. Earl may be 162 pounds, but we promise this hefty boy will require less exercise than most! He's a pretty lazy lump, minus occasional "zoomies" (which occur in slow motion). He looooves getting pets, and if you try to stop before he's had enough, he will let you know by hooking his giant paw around your leg. He ADORES being outside, ESPECIALLY in the cold, and will happily spend hours in the yard just...existing. Adopt this record-setting MPR pup today!
