Here is a sweet boy who is doing well in a foster home. He is house trained with a doggy door but will need to be taught a different routine if there is no door. He does well with cats and other dogs. He does like to jump so small kids will need to be careful. He must be kept busy as he does like to chew and have things to do. He does appreciate sleeping on a human bed but is fine on a dog bed also. He does well on a leash and on car rides. He is just a big sweet boy who is needing a family who can keep him occupied (farm, walks, outdoor activities, etc....) He just wants his forever family and we know there's one out there.

Meet Daredevil! He is the bravest superhero with no sight. This handsome young floof ball is about 5 months old and weighs 20 pounds. We are not exactly sure what breeds he has in him but we suspect something like Anatolian Sheperd or Great Pyrenees and he reminds us a little of an Akita!. Daredevil earned his name due to the fact that he has no eyeballs, and like the character himself is still the most brave of souls! Daredevil tries his best to be a normal dog, he will even use the potty pads when he needs to potty! The best way he has learned is by being with other dogs, his foster fur siblings truly helped bring him out of his shell, so he would thrive best in a home with another dog. His foster mom has done great at trying to introduce him to the outside world but as to be expected all the different noises can be a bit scary not being able to see what they are. Daredevil will need lots of training to adjust as he grows, but is the sweetest of boys you will ever meet. Interested in becoming this pup’s forever home? This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Highway (HWY) is a very good-looking boy. He is very high Anatolian Shepherd. He was fully vetted 9/18/24. 19 weeks old as of 11/1/24. Weighed 18.9 lbs when vetted. He is growing fast. Est 30 -35 lbs now on 11/1!24. HWY was named Highway because he was found on Highway 51. in West TN. A girl that his foster mom knows saw a car pull over on the side of the highway and put him out. She pulled over and saved him. He was really scared when we first got him. He has come a long way but can still be shy at times. He needs someone willing to be patient with him. He catches on pretty quick. He’s playful and knows “ sit” already. He loves other dogs. Walks really well on leash. He actually would do very well with an avid walker/runner. He does likes o ride in the car. He will require additional potty/house training as he is still a pup. HIGHWAY is located in Ripley, TN. (West TN). Hello people in the Northeast, we are a 6-pack of gorgeous Anatolian Shepherd puppies coming to America on 12/17/24. We were just little puppies when we were spotted running amok through the fields of Cappadocia Turkey while the 4 Little Paws founder was there on Vacation. With no mama or owner, and nobody to care for us, she arranged for a trapper to catch us and drive us to a boarding facility in Istanbul where we would be safe until fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and the required 6 months of age to legally fly to the US. We are all sweet pups, now about 40 lbs in weight, a bit shy at first, but overall friendly, happy, and playful, with typical puppy behavior. This has been quite an adventure, and we are all looking forward to finding forever homes, with loving families, and wonderful futures! See you soon, Honey, Lily, Sammy, Browny, Timmy, and Deron. * 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. Bolto is a great dog. He is very smart and has a great sense of his whereabouts. With a great family he will become acclaimate quickly. He is excellent around children and other animals, and really enjoys playing outside. For an old dog he has a great will about him as if inside he was still a young pup. He has a really good appetite, and does well with his cues to use the bathroom. All in all Bolto is a fantastic dog and with the right family he will be a great addition. Meet Balto, the 8-10 year old shepherd mix with a heart full of love. Balto has a gentle and affectionate nature, making him a perfect companion for families with kids, other dogs, and even cats. He is not only house trained, but he also has a puppy, like energy and a love for outdoor activities, like going for walks and playing in the backyard. However, don’t be fooled by his active side, as Balto is also a sleepyhead who enjoys his downtime.Despite his playful nature, Balto has been dealing with bad back hips. It’s been a tough journey, but with regular injections, medication and exercise his hips are improving every day. He may occasionally mount other dogs, but he’s a work in progress, showing that he is open to learning and growing. Balto’s resilience, and determination to overcome his health issues is truly inspiring. Story

Ash is a 3-4 year-old Belgian Malinois mix weighing 65 pounds who is smart as well as loving. She sits nicely whenever the possibility of a treat comes around and also sits and waits for her meals to be served. She has even taught herself to go to the door when she has to go out. Don’t worry, if you’re not around to see it, she’ll give you a verbal warning. Ash is housebroken and kennel trained, although she prefers a treat or two when entering her kennel. Ash is super sweet and affectionate, quick to bond with her human and is a master cuddler and leaner. She is very curious and will want to follow you everywhere you go and watch everything you do. She is a bit of a nervous nelly when it comes to meeting new people and, in true Malinois fashion, she tends to be vocal about her fear. She needs a human who will be understanding and patient with her when it comes to introducing visitors and new friends. Dog introductions should be conducted slowly as well. Ash takes a few days to warm up to her new environment but once she does, her personality shines through. She can run all day in the yard with her furry foster siblings or crash just about anywhere when it’s time to wind down. She loves any and all kinds of toys and will throw them around all by herself. She is an awesome puppy that would bring heaps of love and energy to anyone willing to adopt her. After being rescued from a Texas shelter, NorthStar discovered that Ash has a severe congenital deformity that will lead to congestive heart failure. She will need to be monitored closely for any symptoms (exercise intolerance, coughing, shortness of breath). She is currently on medication for her condition and seeking the care of a cardiologist is recommended. Unfortunately, Ash's longevity will be affected and the doctors feel that she will most likely not reach the age of 5 years. When NorthStar rescued Ash, we never expected that she would have such a short life but we are determined to make what time she has left the best we can. Ash is looking for a very special adopter who will love this sweet girl and give her the care she needs for the rest of her life. Ash has been spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccines. The adoption fee for this sweet girl is $425.
