Story
Highway (HWY) is a very good-looking boy. He is very high Anatolian Shepherd. He was fully vetted 9/18/24. 19 weeks old as of 11/1/24. Weighed 18.9 lbs when vetted. He is growing fast. Est 30 -35 lbs now on 11/1!24. HWY was named Highway because he was found on Highway 51. in West TN. A girl that his foster mom knows saw a car pull over on the side of the highway and put him out. She pulled over and saved him. He was really scared when we first got him. He has come a long way but can still be shy at times. He needs someone willing to be patient with him. He catches on pretty quick. He’s playful and knows “ sit” already. He loves other dogs. Walks really well on leash. He actually would do very well with an avid walker/runner. He does likes o ride in the car. He will require additional potty/house training as he is still a pup. HIGHWAY is located in Ripley, TN. (West TN). Contact Lisa at 731-499-0739 or oatsvall973@yahoo.com Out of state transport can be arranged, cost is $185.

Story
Mila was surrendered because she wanted to be with people rather than sheep so she wasn't a very good livestock guard dog. Mila is really just a big ham who loves belly rubs. She is tons of fun and loves people. She is very food motivated so this can be used to help do some training with her. Mila loves people and would prefer to be the only dog in the home. We do not know what she thinks of cats. Due to her size, a home with kids 8+ is preferred (she loves kids but may accidently knock some smaller ones over). This gorgeous girl is about 2-3 years old and 108 pounds of hunka hunka burning love ❤️. Please help Mila find the loving home she deserves. Additional video of Mila: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UuEeJYyb2Q4 **Please note we currently have another dog with a similar name. Please make sure you use the spelling "MILA" on your application or correspondence to avoid any confusions. We do NOT ship our animals. Loki is a 2-3 year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix with a gentle, friendly nature. He is great with all people and other dogs, and his calm, loyal personality makes him a wonderful companion. Loki is a little timid and might do well with a confident dog in the home to show him the ropes. Loki is microchipped, spayed, and up to date on vaccines—ready to find a loving home where he can be part of the family. Story
Make a Difference! Adopt a Shelter Dog! This handsome hunk is Max, a 100-pound gentle giant with a heart just as big as his paws. Max found himself in a Queens, NY shelter when he simply outgrew apartment life—but he’s thriving now in his foster home and ready for a forever family of his own. Max is doing wonderfully with his foster siblings (three mixed-breed dogs) and would love a home with another playful dog to keep him company. He really shines in dog-to-dog friendships and enjoys good, old-fashioned rowdy play—especially with his biggest foster sibling, a shepherd/husky mix. When it comes to people, Max is a bit of a shy guy at first. We don’t think he had much exposure to new people in his past, so he can be nervous when visitors arrive. He has no signs of aggression whatsoever, he’s just fearful and may try to hide behind his foster mom (which is both endearing and slightly comical given his size). Slow introductions, patience, and plenty of treats are the key to his heart. Once Max feels safe, his true personality comes out: gentle, happy, and incredibly sweet. He should never be forced to greet—he’ll let you know when he’s ready. Max is still very much a big puppy and will need plenty of toys, bones, and enrichment to keep him busy. He loves fetching tennis balls and can catch them mid-air like a pro, even from impressive distances. Squeaky toys and plush toys are also high on his favorites list. He enjoys going for walks, though he’ll benefit from some leash training to curb his enthusiasm (he’s strong and doesn’t quite know it yet). He definitely needs regular exercise to burn off puppy energy. At just one year old, Max still has some growing to do, and filling out! He’s currently a bit underweight and in that adorably awkward, gangly stage, but once mature he’ll be a very large, powerful dog. His former family did an excellent job house-training him; he hasn’t had a single accident in foster care. He knows “sit” and “paw,” takes treats gently, and has proven he can be trusted uncrated while his foster family is out. With his foster mom, Max is snuggly, affectionate, goofy, loyal, and incredibly loving. He actually thinks he is a lap dog. He has ultra-soft fur, beautiful soulful eyes, and once you earn his trust, you’ll have a friend for life. Max is neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up to date on all vaccinations. His ideal new home would have another dog (or dogs), no small children who could be accidentally knocked over, and a family experienced with large-breed dogs who understands that sometimes the biggest dogs have the softest hearts. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will grow into an amazing lifelong friend, Max might just be your perfect match 🐾 To adopt Max, please complete our online dog application at https://www.sheltersurvivors.com/application.html and return it to sheltersurvivors@live.com. Or, go to sheltersurvivors.com, click on the home page, look for "Application" at the top of the home page, and complete the application. Hit the submit button once you have completed the application in its entirety. Please do NOT leave any blank spaces, if something is not applicable type in N/A. This will expedite the adoption process. NOTE: If you do not hear from us in 48 hours, please email us at sheltersurvivors@live.com. Adoption Fee: $450.00
