Story
Meet Millie! Millie is an 8-year-old Lhasa Apso weighing 20 pounds. This shy but sweet girl is looking for a quiet, patient home where she can settle in at her own pace and enjoy all the comforts of family life—especially a cozy, soft bed to call her own. Millie would thrive in a calm environment with adopters who understand that trust takes time and are happy to let her come out of her shell when she feels ready. With patience and kindness, she is sure to become a wonderful companion. Millie also requires a securely fenced yard where she can safely enjoy time outdoors. Millie has been treated at NMDR for chronic ear infections. Her future family will need to continue regular ear cleanings and work closely with their primary veterinarian to help keep her ears healthy and comfortable. A required in-person meet and greet at our shelter is part of the adoption process to help ensure a good fit for both Millie and her potential adopters. Millie is ready to find a loving forever home where she can enjoy a peaceful life, a warm bed, and a family that will give her the patience, care, and love she deserves. ------ Many NMDR dogs have had limited prior socialization and may need time, patience, and support as they adjust to home life. Skills such as house training, leash walking, and handling may require continued practice. Progress will vary by individual dog. Homes with older children are often a good fit, depending on temperament. To learn more about NMDR and our adoption process, please visit our website.

Story
Tibby is a darling Shih Tzu/Bichon Frise mix born April 9, 2026. With her impossibly soft white-and-gold coat, fabulous bird-like head fluff, and enormous personality, she is essentially a living teddy bear powered by zoomies. This brave little explorer is usually the first puppy to investigate anything new. She loves running outside, navigating tunnels, hunting for treats in puzzles, chasing balls, chewing sticks, and “helping” in the garden—primarily by digging in it. Her favorite party trick is the grab-and-go: spot a treasured toy, snatch it at full speed, and prance away like she just won Best in Show. Tibby has moderate to moderately high energy and is often the last puppy still playing. She is affectionate without being clingy, checking in for quick kisses and cuddles before heading back to her adventures. When she finally gets tired, she loves being scooped up for proper snuggles. Tibby is crate trained and making great progress with potty training. She prefers going outside in the grass, uses potty pads, and still has occasional accidents. She is also learning basic commands, fetch, and polite puppy manners. She does well with dogs of different sizes, ages, and sexes and could live with another friendly dog or be an only dog. She has done well with elementary-aged children, teenagers, adults, and elderly people. Her experience with children under three and cats is unknown. IMPORTANT: Petfinder inquiries are not adoption applications. To learn more about Tibby and apply to adopt her, you MUST visit www.pawsitiverestorations.com. Applications must be submitted through the Pawsitive Restorations website.

Story
Meet Fletcher, an apricot-colored Yorkie/Bichon mix puppy born April 1, 2026. Rescued from the commercial pet trade, this tiny four-pound lovebug is discovering that life can be filled with backyard adventures, puzzle toys, warm laps, and people who adore him. Fletcher is gentle, affectionate, curious, intelligent, and wonderfully goofy. He loves puzzle feeders and solves them quickly, sometimes choosing them over a regular bowl of kibble. He also enjoys squeaky toys, balls, tunnels, paper towel rolls, little backyard twigs, and friendly games of tug with other dogs. At bedtime, he carries toys into his sleeping area—and his foster mom once found ten of them tucked beneath his blanket. Tiny puppy, substantial investment portfolio. His daily schedule alternates between joyful bouncing and serious cuddling. Fletcher comes when called, sleeps through the night in his crate, keeps his crate clean, and has learned to use the doggy door. He is not fully potty trained yet, so his adopter must be prepared to continue helping this young puppy learn. Fletcher gets along with dogs of different sizes and ages. He would likely thrive with another friendly dog or with a person or family able to spend plenty of time with him. His compatibility with cats is unknown. Although Fletcher has been gentle with a 1½-year-old child in his foster home, he weighs only about four pounds and can be injured very easily. For his safety, he needs a home with older, gentle, respectful children or no children. TO LEARN MORE ABOUT FLETCHER OR APPLY TO ADOPT HIM, YOU MUST VISIT www.pawsitiverestorations.com
