Story
Linny, the Lhasa, is a character. His original foster mom thought he believed he was a king in a former life, or at least a prince for sure. He would not sit on the floor or even lay down in a dog bed on the floor. He’d either sit on a padded kitchen chair or he’d head back to the bedroom to lounge on the bed. He had a dog bed on the floor, which was supposedly his, but he obviously thought, “You’ve got to be kidding me!” He was transferred to another home to be fostered that had carpeting and he thought he was in heaven. He immediately threw himself down onto the floor, rolled onto his back and started wiggling around so now we know, Linny LOVES laying on carpeted floors. When he was rescued, we were told he was so badly matted, that he could hardly move. He was released from his rescuers because he could not tolerate being crated. He would stress out so badly they were afraid for his safety. This could have been caused by his recent traumatic life experiences while he was trying to survive living out in the world on his own. All that is behind him now and he is back to his life of living like a king. He can also be quite a talker, but it doesn’t sound like sweet talk. In fact, it sounds quite the opposite. He is not the least aggressive when talking, it just sounds aggressive. Linny is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative and being kept on heartworm and flea and tick prevention to maintain his good health. He was thought to be a Shih Tzu but our vet thinks this white with black little guy with 1 blue eye, is a Lhasa Apso because of his size and is about 4 years old. He has also been well fed since being rescued because he weighed 19.5 pounds on 1/19/23. Linny gets along well with other dogs, and also LOVES to ride in the car and go for walks. Linny will only be considered for homes with a fenced yard and where someone is always home. Since we do not know about his background, he will not be considered for homes with young children. If you would like to provide the home Linny is sure he deserves please complete the first step in the adoption process by filling out our online adoption application. The link to our online adoption application is http://dhd.coffeecup.com/forms/bhsapp/
Linny is located in Arkansas. The adoption donation for Linny is $665 which includes the $165 transport fee. If you are interested in adopting Linny, please complete the first step in the adoption process by filling out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers.
After you submit your application, please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home.
Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.
