Story
Meet Ben, an adult neutered male Lhasa Apso mix! Ben is about 4 years old and 32 lbs but he is currently a bit overweight. He can be timid of men initially and he would do better in a home with children older than 12 years old. Ben will be arriving in CT on 9/19 and we are accepting applications for him now! He will be required to attend our adoption event in Dayville, CT on 9/20. Ben is medically up to date and neutered. Apply to meet this special pup today! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2839102##

Story
Uno is a 3-year-old Lhasa Apso/French Bulldog mix—at least that’s our best (and slightly crazy!) guess! Whatever his mix may be, one thing is certain: this boy is full of personality and is simply a wonderful dog. Uno is happy, playful, and has a great energy level. He loves meeting people and seems to adore everyone he meets. He gets along well with other dogs, loves his toys, and appears to be housebroken, making him an all-around fantastic companion. With his fun-loving personality and happy-go-lucky attitude, Uno has a way of brightening up any room he walks into. He’s the kind of dog who will bring plenty of smiles, laughter, and companionship to his forever family. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate pup with plenty of personality, Uno may just be your guy! ❤️🐶

Story
Adopt Moose! 🐾 Moose is an adorable 2yr old Shih Tzu mix. He's a sweet, happy little guy with a heart that's ready for a fresh start. Although his past wasn't kind to him, he's looking ahead to a future filled with love, patience, and security. When Moose was found abandoned, his coat was so severely matted it was tangled tightly against his skin. It was heartbreaking to see the neglect he had endured, but despite everything, Moose hasn't let his past define him. He has a gentle spirit and is ready to trust the right family. Moose enjoys meeting new people and gets along well with other dogs and cats. While he'd be happy to have a canine companion, he'd also thrive as your one and only, soaking up all the love and attention. He's potty trained, loves his daily walks, and rarely passes up the chance to carry around a squeaky toy. Moose is incredibly food motivated, making him eager to learn, and he's already mastering commands like "sit." At the end of the day, his favorite place is curled up beside you on the couch, enjoying all the snuggles he can get. Because of the neglect he experienced, Moose can occasionally be sensitive to touch if he's startled or feeling unsure. He is looking for a patient, experienced, adult-only home that understands he may need a little extra time to build confidence and continue learning that he's finally safe. If you're ready to give this deserving little guy the second chance he's been waiting for, we'd love to hear from you! Apply to adopt Moose at: www.pprct.org
