First, their lifelong owner sadly passed away. Then, they were taken in by another adopter, but after a year together, she had to move into a nursing home. Despite being bounced around, Max and Hershey`s spirits haven`t dampened. They have taken every curveball in stride, showing nothing but gratitude, smiles, and tail wags to everyone they meet.More than anything, they just want to be near people. They are professional snugglers, housebroken, well-behaved, and love to go on leashed walks. They are cat-friendly and do wonderful with other dogs their own size or smaller. They would thrive best in a calm household where they can finally let their guards down and just be loved.Hershey and Max have so much love left to give, and they are more than ready to pack their bags for the very last time. They are sweet and loving dogs who will need work with potty training, but they love to sit on laps, be pet and will make wonderful little dogs. Wiggles is a 6 year old spayed female poodle/lhasa apso mix who weighs 15 pounds. She came to us from another rescue that was out of space, so we gladly accepted them and now they are safely in our care. She was surrendered by a breeder and has likely never lived in a home before. Wiggles needed to be fully shaved due to matting and she is probably feeling so much better! Wiggles is a very sweet girl who has tested well with other dogs, comes when called and cannot wait to meet her new family. Story
Scrooge is a 1.5yo 15lb Lhasa Apso mix. He’s dog and older kid friendly. He’s housebroken when kept on a schedule, will wear a belly band in the house and is crate trained. He’s used to a secure fenced in yard so will need some work for harness leashed walks when going places. He’s super sweet loves attention from humans and dogs. He has puppy energy, loves to play with toys and other dogs. Scrooge’s foster requires a home with a secure fenced in yard, another playful dog his size or larger, regular grooming every 6-8 weeks along with people to give leadership, consistency, structure and to continue working on training. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far. Scrooge as all dogs should have at least 2 weeks in their new home with just their people who live in the home and to not have people over for at least 2 weeks. Dogs need time to settle in and adjust to their new people and environment first so they can learn to trust them first. Scrooge is neutered, vaccinated, HW negative and microchipped.
