Jayden is a 7 year old neutered male lhasa apso who weighs 15 pounds. These dogs were surrendered to us by their breeder and have never lived in a home. They are sweet and loving dogs who will need work with potty training, but they love to sit on laps, be pet and will make wonderful little dogs. They have tested well with other dogs, were used to a fenced in yard and do well in the crate.                                                                              KENNEL ID #18804Brian is an 8-year-old Lhasa Apso born 1-18-2018, weighing 22 lbs. He’s the definition of a couch potato — switching couches is basically his idea of exercise. Brian would do best in a quieter home without a lot of hustle and bustle. He can be a bit wary of strangers and makes a great little watchdog. This is a breed that can take some time to trust new people, but once he does, he is very loyal to his family. Brian likes other dogs, but he would really prefer to have his person all to himself. Like many Lhasa Apsos, he prefers a calm environment and would be happiest with adults or older, respectful children who understand his space. Brian is not overly needy and has an independent side. If you want a dog who is happy to sit next to you without having to be attached at your hip, he may be your perfect match. Scrooge is a 1.5yo 15lb Lhasa Apso mix. He’s dog and older kid friendly. He’s housebroken when kept on a schedule, will wear a belly band in the house and is crate trained. He’s used to a secure fenced in yard so will need some work for harness leashed walks when going places. He’s super sweet loves attention from humans and dogs. He has puppy energy, loves to play with toys and other dogs. Scrooge’s foster requires a home with a secure fenced in yard, another playful dog his size or larger, regular grooming every 6-8 weeks along with people to give leadership, consistency, structure and to continue working on training. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far. Scrooge as all dogs should have at least 2 weeks in their new home with just their people who live in the home and to not have people over for at least 2 weeks. Dogs need time to settle in and adjust to their new people and environment first so they can learn to trust them first. Scrooge is neutered, vaccinated, HW negative and microchipped. Story
My mom recently passed away and I am need to find a home for him (Charles/Charlie). He is house trained as long as you keep him on a consistent schedule and is very clingy and likes to always be near a human. He seems to be OK with large and small dogs as long as they leave him alone as he is not playful and likes to sleep. His hearing and sight is fading so we found we have to lead him to his food and water. He is approx 14 years old as my mom adopted him from the humane society a couple years ago.
