Jayden is a 7 year old neutered male lhasa apso who weighs 15 pounds. These dogs were surrendered to us by their breeder and have never lived in a home. They are sweet and loving dogs who will need work with potty training, but they love to sit on laps, be pet and will make wonderful little dogs. They have tested well with other dogs, were used to a fenced in yard and do well in the crate. Story
Scrooge is a 1.5yo 15lb Lhasa Apso mix. He’s dog and older kid friendly. He’s housebroken when kept on a schedule, will wear a belly band in the house and is crate trained. He’s used to a secure fenced in yard so will need some work for harness leashed walks when going places. He’s super sweet loves attention from humans and dogs. He has puppy energy, loves to play with toys and other dogs. Scrooge’s foster requires a home with a secure fenced in yard, another playful dog his size or larger, regular grooming every 6-8 weeks along with people to give leadership, consistency, structure and to continue working on training. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirement’s please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so aren’t always able to travel too far. Scrooge as all dogs should have at least 2 weeks in their new home with just their people who live in the home and to not have people over for at least 2 weeks. Dogs need time to settle in and adjust to their new people and environment first so they can learn to trust them first. Scrooge is neutered, vaccinated, HW negative and microchipped. Say hi to Verity! This adorable little pup came to the shelter as a stray and is now ready to find her furever home. She is a timid dog who needs a patient adopter who will show her that the world is safe. She also has some handling sensitivity, so any children in the home should be 10 and older who will respect her boundaries. She is open to possibly living with other animals with proper introductions, which may help boost her confidence as well. Once he learns his surroundings, he gets around beautifully and stays close to the people he trusts most. This affectionate little guy simply wants to be by your side through every part of the day. Whether youre relaxing on the couch, doing chores around the house, or heading to bed, Ramelo is ready to be your loyal shadow. Hes doing wonderfully with crate training and house training, and his gentle, loving personality shines brighter every day. Meet Trudy, a 10-year-old Llasa-poo who was found as a stray and brought to the shelter so we don't know anything about her past. But we know that it wasn't good. She was horribly matted, not spayed, and had multiple mammary tumors. Through two separate surgeries, she has now been spayed, had all of the tumors removed, and needed seven teeth extracted. She was a rock star, enduring it all so well, and is all healed now!​ Unfortunately, a couple of the small tumors were cancerous, but our vet believes there is a good chance that the cancer has not spread. We did lung x-rays and her lungs were clear.​ Trudy is very sweet and loving. She loves to be on your lap but is equally content to sleep on her bed or on the sofa with another dog friend. She gets along great with other dogs. ​ She may have a bit of separation anxiety when left alone without the other dogs. Once she is with someone or another dog, she's fine. ​ We cannot say enough good things about Trudy. She's a survivor who deserves the very best home.​ FLFO requires a home visit therefore adopters must be within 40 miles of Baldwin MD.
