Noel is a 12-year-old Lhasa Apso who is RESCUE ONLY due to her age and medical needs. She was surrendered to the shelter in very poor condition. Because Noel was already blind and had severe discharge and infection in both eyes, the shelter made the medical decision to enucleate both eyes to relieve her pain and improve her comfort. She also received a full dental cleaning and polishing, with no teeth needing removal. Despite everything she has been through, Noel deserves a safe, quiet place where she can heal and enjoy her golden years with patience and love. Meet Albert! Albert is a 20-month-old little guy with a big personality. He lost one eye early in life, but that hasn’t slowed him down one bit. He’s playful with his person, adores his walks, and absolutely lives for tummy rubs—if you stop too soon, he’ll gently reach out with his paw to ask for more! Albert has had some early liver issues, which are now well managed with a special diet that he’ll need to stay on for life. He’s also working on an “attitude adjustment”—sometimes he can be a little spicy with other dogs or when asked to do something he’s not thrilled about. He’s already making progress with the help of anxiety medication and responds well to verbal correction. Because of this, Albert would do best in an adult-only home where he can be the star of the show and also no stairs for this boy. He rides beautifully in the car, sleeps quietly at night on his pallet in the bedroom, and has impeccable potty manners. With daily walks to help trim his waistline and keep his mind happy, Albert will be a loyal, loving companion for the right person. He is great in the car, walks nicely on a leash, and absolutely adores being around his people. Bubba thrives on human companionship and quickly becomes your little shadow. Although Bubba experienced terrible neglect in his past, all he wants now is to be loved and cherished—and he gives that love right back. Despite everything he’s been through, he remains incredibly sweet, funny, and eager for affection. Bubba does have some marking behaviors, but he knows to go potty outside, so this is likely temporary as he settles into a new home. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update.
