Meet Falkor!
Breed: Lhasa ApsoGender: MaleAge: AdultSize: Small ([WEIGHT])Good with: Other dogs, patient people who appreciate thoughtful love
Falkor looks just like his namesake from The NeverEnding Story—and if you ever need a little bit of luck dragon energy in your life, Falkor is here for it! This fluffy, magical-looking Lhasa Apso has that same wise, gentle spirit as the beloved luck dragon, just in a much more portable (and arguably even cuter) package.
Falkor gets along well with other dogs and is a very polite player. He's not one of those chaotic, in-your-face playmates—he's respectful, measured, and knows how to engage without being overwhelming. He's the kind of dog other dogs actually enjoy playing with because he reads the room and adjusts his energy accordingly.
Here's what makes Falkor special: he's not an instant friendship kind of guy. He takes a second to assess the situation, make sure everything's safe and good, and THEN he dives in headlong for love. Once he's decided you're his people, he's all in—no hesitation, no holding back, just pure devotion. It's like he needs to make sure you're worthy of his luck dragon magic before he bestows it upon you.
Falkor would thrive with someone who understands that the best relationships aren't rushed. He's looking for a home that will give him that initial moment to observe and decide, and then be ready to receive all the love he's capable of giving once he commits.
If you're ready for a fluffy luck dragon who will assess you carefully and then love you completely, Falkor is waiting to bring some magic into your life!

Disclaimer: The information in this profile reflects observations made while this dog has been in our shelter environment. We strive to describe each dog as accurately as possible; however, behavior and needs may change once the dog is in a new home, routine, or environment. Our dogs are not freeroaming in homes. When we note that a dog is "potty trained," this refers to reliable crate training, not confirmed freeroam house training. Accidents may occur during the transition to a new home, and additional training should be expected. All dogs are examined by our veterinarian, are spayed or neutered if old enough, and are up to date on ageappropriate vaccinations at the time of adoption. We share all known medical information, but we cannot guarantee future health or rule out underlying conditions.
ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.happyfacespetranch.org
Once your application has been approved, a representative will be in touch to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog based on the dog's individual needs.
