Story
Harvey and Cleo are a loving, tightly bonded pair of sibling kittens, about 6½ months old. They’ve been together since birth and truly thrive as a duo. Both were found at just a week old and bottle-raised, so their connection to humans is deep and trusting. Harvey is a fluffy Maine Coon mix who gets bigger and more handsome every day. He’s playful, curious, and has that gentle, goofy charm Maine Coons are known for. Cleo is petite, bright-eyed, and incredibly sweet. She’s affectionate, observant, and loves being close to her people. Together, they’re everything you’d want in young cats: Playful with rambunctious kitten energy. Gentle and social with humans. Enjoy being around friendly dogs. They love to cuddle when it’s time to wind down. Harvey and Cleo deserve a warm, caring forever home where they can continue to flourish together. If you’re looking for a pair of affectionate, joyful kittens, these two are the perfect match.

Story
Well what a high drama girl this little Carrot Cake is! I always love the striking colors of calico kitties who are almost always females. I joke that these vivid little fireballs are Little Empresses who that think they own the whole world and act accordingly. Ms Carrot Cake is definitely the exception to this rule. She is not a demanding personality; instead, she is an easy going and nicely behaved little treasure. Having grown up around her charming brothers and other kitty playmates she loves other cats. She also loves humans and all the attention they bring. Her two brothers were a matched set of orange boys and they went home together after we spent quite a while looking for a family that could take all three siblings.A home for three is very hard to find.Sadly we had to separate them but she adjusted much better than we expected. So let's find a new family for Carrot Cake with at least one other fun loving kitty. She is a confident , playful and curious girl and would probably be fine with a cat loving dog but we have no direct experience of that with her. She is so outgoing that she will likely entertain strangers who come over to dinner. Who could fail to be smitten with a soft, fuzzy kitty who has one black front leg and one red tabby front leg, both with sparkling white feet? And over the black leg she has a red cheek and over the red leg she has a black cheek. All with a pink nose set above a white chin. And she often has a grumpy cat face which just makes you smile because that is not her at all. She is a one of a kind kitty who is so much fun. Carrot Cake would be good as a family cat and probably would be just fine with respectful children of all ages. She is an easy cat in many ways. She is healthy, loves attention, loves other kitties, uses her box , will eat anything. She enjoys brushing and grooming as the loving attention it really is and has an easy coat to manage even though her hair is medium long. Look how silky it is! She is part Maine Coon and that gives her not only her plush fur but also her willingness to be in a family setting including the noise and commotion that often comes with that. She could also be an entertaining, heart companion for a couple or a single person who are home and have another cat . She eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect. If your home comes complete with catnip she would be delighted. Some family will be so lucky to have her entertaining, loving, soft, cuddly company. Carrot Cake is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, and microchipped. She is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz. Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home. If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Carrot Cake please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Harriet at harrietluvskitties@yahoo.com If you are unable to reach Harriet please email us at info@purebredsplus.org. NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!

Story
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA:  Shadow and Chinchilla (Chin Chin) are a sweet bonded pair of lovely kitties that were rescued together from a large cat colony. They appear to be Maine Coon-mix cats, and are probably mother and daughter. They both have amazingly loud purrs!   Shadow and Chin Chin’s rescuer, Sara, provided us with this description of the girls: “Shadow was born in approximately May 2012.  She's very small for a Maine Coon mix (about 6 pounds) and has gorgeous all-black fur.  She loves to be brushed and petted and often meows loudly.  Her fur is curly, so regular brushing is needed to keep mats from forming.  She's even gotten used to stand-up brushing of her belly and will jump onto the cat condo so I can reach her more easily.  Once there, we sometimes touch noses.  She's the sweetest girl.  She's very docile and calm once she gets familiar with you and the household.  She doesn't even run when I vacuum.  She's also very good about eating oral flea medication with tuna or sardines. Chin Chin is gray and white and was born in approximately May 2016.  She's a bit flighty and will run away at first, even from me, but comes back as soon as I start petting or brushing another cat.  She returns even faster when I'm dispensing treats.  She is very playful and chases balls and other toys around the room.  She even has a regular morning romp with another cat from the colony.  She loves to be brushed and sleeps on my bed at night. Both girls are going to be shy at first with new people but with patience and gentle talking, treats and eventually brushing, they'll come around. Both of them have purrs that practically shake the house.  I can hear Chin Chin purring from another room, and she'll start even before I touch her.  Shadow starts drooling when she's purring.  It's so cute! There's no way of knowing for sure, but I believe they are mother and daughter.  They are definitely a bonded pair and need to be adopted together.   Both are in good health.  I give Shadow daily hairball gel and Chin Chin a powdered probiotic in her food.  They are good about using the litter box and grooming themselves.  Shadow and Chin Chin have both been spayed and will be up to date on vaccinations prior to adoption.  They are good with other cats; no dogs or children please. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is a Courtesy Post, and Shadow and Chin Chin are living in a private foster home with their rescuer Sara in Hercules, California. If you would like more information, please contact Sara at s_garetz@yahoo.com. Please Note: These cats have not yet been tested for FIV/FeLV, to our knowledge. Potential adopters should confirm the cats’ status with their rescuer and should consult with their veterinarian for recommendations regarding testing.July 21, 2025, 10:05 am
