Please contact Lori (whisker2love@gmail.com), (209) 996-8870 for more information about this pet.Bonded PairTucker and Toby love each other dearly and would be heartbroken if separated. Therefore, they can only be adopted together.  Meet Tucker, a charming long-haired blonde tabby kitten with fur as soft as a rabbit's touch. Tucker has the features of a Maine Coon. This sweet little ball of fur is inseparable from his brother, Toby, and they share a special bond that warms the heart. Tucker may be a bit shy initially, but with the company of his confident brother, he blossoms into an affectionate and playful companion. Tucker is looking for a forever home where he can continue to thrive alongside his beloved brother, Toby.  Your love and care will make their world complete!  Tucker is still working on his confidence, but social Toby helps with that. They get along with other cats and polite dogs.  If you're ready to open your heart to this dynamic duo, please email Whisker2love@gmail.com. Please share a little about yourself. Click here to watch a video of Tucker and Toby.March 27, 2024, 2:19 am

Please contact Lori (whisker2love@gmail.com), (209) 996-8870 for more information about this pet.Meet Charlotte. She is a gorgeous Maine Coon  kitten with long, fluffy fur and big round eyes. She is about 6 months.  She is sweet, but it would take a bit to know that she's safe and that you're her friend. She can be adopted with one of her buddies in her foster home, Garfield or Charlene.  She is great with other cats and smaller respectful dogs.  Garfield is a long-haired orange kitten, and Charlene is a long-haired tortie. Story
Born ~2016, F, Black and White Maine Coon Mix Adoption Fee: $175 ________________________________________ It's hard not to love a black and white kitty with a little pink nose. This sweet girl had been trying to survive outside on her own. We don't know what happened to her but a cat lover found her and brought her to the shelter. She was thin and dusty. This nice shelter did a blood panel on her and found that she had an overactive thyroid, which makes her metabolism speed up and burn thru calories. These kitties are always thin. We at Purebreds have helped a lot of thyroid kitties and know that a very inexpensive pill, methimazole, is what they need. We put her on the standard twice a day dose. Now a month later she has gained weight and her coat began to shine. Perfect. If you take one of these tiny pills and put it in a little bowl with a drop of water it instantly dissolves. Then you mix in a little wet food --maybe a small teaspoon -- and give it to her to eat. Kara eats it immediately and then you give her the rest of her wet food meal. Works like a charm. No pilling necessary. Many people prefer the transdermal form of this medication which is also available. As long as her weight is stable you know she is doing fine, though your vet will want to check her thyroid level at her annuaI exam. So who is she?? She is a darling, a beautiful Maine Coon girl with dramatic black and white markings. Her fur is like silk. Currently she is over 7 pounds, and may end up around 8. She is enormously affectionate. She loves humans and all sorts of attention they bring. Her favorite thing is to place her head in your hand. Pet me Love me Let me sit in your lap. She is going to be a great companion for someone who wants the company of a funny, intelligent girl. She looks like a cartoon character. However please be advised she wants you all to herself. She does not want to, and won't, share you with any other kitty. I do not know how she is with dogs but she is so cranky about other cats. Being the only pet in the house might be the easiest home for her. She loves windows and food and humans and catnip. Maine Coon mix lovers know what intelligent loving companions they are. Some family will be so lucky. Karamia is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect. She currently lives with her foster family in Santa Cruz. Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home. If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Karamia please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Harriet at harrietluvskitties@yahoo.com If you are unable to reach Harriet please email us at info@purebredsplus.org. NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!

Story
Well, Katya is still growing. As a typical Maine Coon she will grow bigger for two more years. She is not, however, a typical Maine Coon. With her long ear tufts and extravagant body she is very like a group of 7 huge Maine Coons from Russia that I fostered four years ago. In her photos she looks bigger than she is but she is growing very large ( look at her paws) and she is already huge in energy and personality. Katya is a lot of cat. She clearly thinks she was born to rule continents and kingdoms. Look at her cover photo you can see how smart she is. She is hard to photograph because she is constantly moving - usually towards the photographer for asking for pets. Katya is very affectionate and loves humans but her humans need be cat savvy and pay attention. She is full of energy and rambunctiousness. She has been cooped up in too small an area for way too long and has a pent up need for space and play and running and jumping. She has been goodnatured about it but it is getting to be too long. She needs her home and humans. Do you have a spacious home to house her beauty and energy? Part of her trouble is she came into foster with her five beautiful kittens. ( They are known as The Breakfast Kittens: Silver Dollar Pancake, Granola, Omelet, Oatmeal and Pumpernickel.) Mommy cats don't like the company of other cats at all. Katya, now spayed, still doesn't like other cats so it is hard to let her out to run about since other cats are present. She loves to roll around upside down and see if you are watching how cute she is. She is a flirt. She loves to lick and groom you. She can look stern and very wild. She loves to play and be silly. She is headstrong. She is very affectionate. She is a handful. You can see that she looks quite different in each picture. Such a fascinating kitty. Katya needs an experienced cat person, or family, who can live up to the challenge of out thinking her - or keeping up with her anyway. To fall in love with Katya is to make a life style choice that will take a lot of time and effort. This is not a sleep on the couch kitty. Do you want a kitty partner who is very exciting, smart and loyal ? Katya needs a big spacious home with no other resident cats or small children. We don't know how she is with dogs but it is a pretty likely that she would be in charge. They may be great playmates for her. Some family will be so lucky to have her company. Katya eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect. Katya is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, and microchipped. She is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests! Purebreds Plus cat Rescue (purebredsplus.org), serving Northern California, the San Francisco Bay Area, Oregon, and Northern Nevada, is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of purebred cats, kittens and other exceptional felines. We are a 501 (c)3 non-profit rescue group. Most of our beautiful felines come from Northern California Animal Shelters. One of our goals is to keep purebred cats from ever ending up in a shelter. We are happy to help you if you need to rehome your purebred cat. Often, we can offer advice if your cat is having behavioral problems, and you may end up keeping the cat. We do NOT ship cats. We will place cats out of area but you must arrange to come and meet your new friend in person.
