Story
Emma is a sweet senior cat that needs to be the only cat in the house. Looking to rehome her with someone that likes to relax at home and cuddle with their pet. All she wants is cuddles, affection and tuna flakes. I am a busy entrepreneur and simply don’t have the time and she also does not get along with the other pets in the home. If you want a sweet, purring kitty to watch TV with, Emma is a great companion. She will take awhile to get used to any changes though. She is very timid and shy and will require patience.

Story
DOB: 1/15/2023 Quiet, handsome Silver is friendly but just a tad shy. A Kitten Rescue volunteer found him abandoned on the side of the freeway, which probably explains the shyness. Once he warms up to you, he is sweet and affectionate. With luxurious long, extra-soft fur, his white bib and paw and deliciously droopy whiskers, Silver looks every bit the regal gentleman. He loves wet chicken food but will also eat dry food, and has been known to enjoy an acrobatic play session as well as snuggling on laps.  He has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). FIV is not a big deal; given proper care and attention, an FIV+ cat will live the same lifespan as an FIV negative cat. The disease is extremely hard to transmit from cat to cat, requiring direct blood contact (typically from a deep puncture wound). It is not transmissable to humans. Click here for a basic FAQ about FIV. If you'd like to read a much more detailed and comprehensive FAQ about FIV, we recommend this site. If you are interested in learning more about this kitty or in possibly adopting him, please click here to email his foster parent. If you are unable to send an email to the foster parent through the link included above, please contact us and let us know what kitty you're interested in.  You may also fill out our adoption questionnaire to speed up the screening process.  Be sure to name the cat in the CAT PREFERENCE field at the beginning of the questionnaire. They both love toys, catnip, and treats! They are "dog selective" and should be the only cats in the home. Also, children should be no younger than 14 years old. They are Mainecoon mixes and are gorgeous cats. Rescued from the rock formation at Lake Balboa with her two siblings and mom.  The rescue was featured in FixNation's Newsletter.  Her sisters, Rocksey and Pebbles have already been adopted, but Miss Slate is a little more shy.  She had bonded with another cat at the adoption center, Eggplant and they would need to be adopted together..   Come and meet her at our cage-free adoption center in Westlake Village.  February 26, 2024, 4:10 pm
