Lily is an absolute beauty -- just look at that adorable, petite face and her gorgeous eyes! She is also a very sweet and gentle fluffball. Once she gets to know her humans, her social and attention-loving side really comes out. She is always curious to know what is going on by looking out windows or greeting whoever is coming home. Lily is very mellow and prefers to lounge around rather than play with toys. Her first love language is affection....and her second love language is treats and snacks. Often a shake of the treat bag is all it takes to get her nudging and chirping for a taste! FOSTER HOME NEEDED!! Thunder Cat is a striking five year old Brown Tabby Maine Coon mix with a long, shaggy coat, big ruff around his neck, and a large fluffy tail. He has big ears with tufts of hair on the top, a little white under his nose and on his chin, and lots of long white whiskers. Thunder Cat was rescued from the shelter and recently had entropion surgery on his eyes; that is why he is squinting in the photos. This does not affect his vision and will resolve now that his stitches are out. Thunder Cat is a very loving boy and enjoys lots of human interaction. He’s a bit shy at first, but warms up quickly once he becomes comfortable in the environment. Thunder Cat loves to be brushed and enjoys watching TV and birds from the window. He is sometimes Dog-like in his behavior, and will follow you around the house to get belly rubs. Thunder Cat needs a Foster home so he can put on the weight he lost at the shelter and start living the good life. This little girl loves people and sleeping and playing with her brother, Coco. She adores playing hide & seek and getting head, chin and belly scratches. Emmy is adventurous and playful and is a delight to watch as she progresses through Kittenhood. Coco is an adorable three month old Brown Tabby/White Abyssinian mix with a gorgeous ticked coat, large ears, pale green eyes and lots of long white whiskers. He has white around his eyes, nose, mouth and on his belly. Coco loves people and is playful and curious. He loves to surprise pounce on his sister Emmy, and together they roll around playing. Coco loves observing every move his foster Dad makes and enjoys settling into his lap for nap time and pets. Emmy and Coco are a bonded pair and need to be adopted together. You will enjoy endless entertainment with these two siblings and be so lucky to watch the two of them grow into smart, wonderful cats. DOB: 4/1/17 Nicky is an absolute survivor! A homeless man near Skidrow started feeding Nicky when he was already in bad shape. But the homeless man didn't have the means to take Nicky to the vet. He built him an adorable little house made out of a cardboard box and covered with plastic to protect Nicky from the cold and rain. Some rescuers took Nicky to their vet.  He was underweight, his skin had sores and scabs all over, he had injured paws and a diaphragmatic hernia.  (photo of him the night he was rescued by request).  The vet thinks that he had been hit by a car at some point and the hernia kept getting bigger, literally pushing his intestines into his lungs and against his heart. It was a race with time, because Nicky was in such bad condition at first, that he was not a candidate for surgery. But Nicky has a strong will to live and he is a super nice cat! He purrs immediately when you start petting him. He's a quiet guy and loves to eat. With proper TLC and medication, Nicky started to gain weight and his skin cleared up. Just in time for his life saving surgery. Nicky received the operation to repair the hernia at one of the best hospitals in Los Angeles. He's an absolute miracle cat! Nicky is recovering extremely well from the surgery and indulges in eating his favorite foods. Nicky is about 6 years old, so he's fairly young for a cat. He is FIV+ but Leukemia Negative. Nicky could be in a home with another cat or as the only kitty. He's a very patient, loving, handsome guy! Nicky would love to have his own home where he would be cared for and he could make up for the time of neglect in the streets. Will you make Nicky happy?!  He has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). FIV is not a big deal; given proper care and attention, an FIV+ cat will live the same lifespan as an FIV negative cat. The disease is extremely hard to transmit from cat to cat, requiring direct blood contact (typically from a deep puncture wound). It is not transmissable to humans. DOB: 2/1/11 A KR community foster took in Mochi after his original owner of 12 years was no longer able to care for him due to the owners’ chronic health issue. Mochi is just the sweetest. He’s very shy at first but will slowly feel comfortable and venture out of his space. He is quite vocal and will definitely let you know when his food or water is running low. He’s ok with being held for a bit but is mostly independent. He is not much of a toy enthusiast but does love to roll around with his catnip filled toys. Although he currently lives with small dogs and young children, Mochi would do best in a quiet home with no young children or other pets.
