Bam Bam will be 8 years old this May. He is an absolute lover! He is the sweetest and loves being pet. If you have a lap then he's ready to sit on it! He also loves to explore and is a curious one. A new home must have someone who will give Bam Bam lots of love and attention. He is up to date on shots though May. The adoption fee is to cover updated shots this coming May so he can go to your home ready and still up to date!

412-443-9456 ****ADOPT PEE-WEE, a Maine coon male cat with gorgeous long fur.. ***read this FULL section before calling** thanks This adoption is NOT through Furry Nation Salvation and is a Courtesy Post. Please call the individual listed below with any further questions or to set up a time to meet the pet. Thank you. Please call/text this number if 412-443-9456 Cat located in this city: Winter Park, FL Cat’s Name: Pee-Wee Cat’s Age & Sex: 5, Male Cat’s vetting history (spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped): spayed/neutered/microchipped Animals story: (where found and reason for wanting to rehome): Pee-Wee was adopted from PAWS in Chicago in 2018 when he was just a baby. We have 2 other older cats and they never truly accepted Pee-Wee, so he has been a loner and always felt like an outsider with them. We have also moved several times and he has not adjusted well to the constantly changing environments. We purchased our first home in April 2023 and Pee-Wee suddenly developed a urinating problem in the house that had never been an issue in these last 5 years. We have tried everything and nothing has solved the issue, so we are looking to re-home him with a better living situation where he can thrive and feel comfortable. **** please know*** after contacting this rescue for help- she told us that his issues were mostly due to us feeding him DRY FOOD ONLY… and that is what may have started the issues. We didn’t know that cats needed wet food daily to help them avoid the urinary tract issues and kidney disease since cats have a LOW thirst drive and needed the moisture from their food (wet food is 75% moisture an dry food only 10%)… ++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++ UPDATED INFO AS OF 4-4-2024. - The vet prescribed him a liquid anti-anxiety medication that is helping - he is only eating wet food now!! - We prefer him to be in a quiet home. Pee Wee would NOT be a good fit for those with dogs or small children. ************ Personality (shy, social, likes to be held, lap cat? Likes or dislikes): ***** He is shy and hesitant at first, but once he warms up, he is extremely cuddly and affectionate. He often sleeps in our laps at night. He loves being petted on his neck. He does not like dry cat treats, but loves drinking water. Water is almost like a treat to him. He will drink water from the sink if it is dripping lightly. He will also drink water poured into a bottle water cap. It’s very cute. Any Supplies that go with pet (food, litter, leash, cat box, bedding, toys): ***** We can provide food, litter, & his cat tree What food is the cat eating (dry only, dry and wet): ***** He currently eats dry food (Hills Science Urinary Tract food) and he likes the Squeeze Up handheld wet lickable treats too. We can provide some of those if needed. We did take him to the vet 3 times, He was tested for Urinary tract infection (very common with cats eating dry food only) but they didn't see a UTI but there was traces of bacteria in his urine. They gave him an antibiotic for it. … Please read the info below on why cats need wet food daily and why limiting the dry food is also key. This could solve future issues! ***the rescue lady also said you could contact her (with furry nation salvation) to help him to begin to associate his litter box as a POSITIVE place so he will consistently use is. Part of solving any avoidance of litter box issues is UPPING his wet food intake significantly so he never gets any slight pain again in the cat box to make him want to avoid it in the future. MORE ON THIS BELOW :::::::::::Please know that cats need canned wet food given DAILY. Why? Because cats have a low thirst drive and actually NEED the moisture from the wet food! Wet food is 75 % water (dry FOOD only 10%) and giving them wet food daily will help them avoid Urinary tract issues (which can lead to litter box avoidance), kidney disease, obesity issues linked to diabetes and cardiac issues. You will save on vet bills too! Limit the overly processed dry food and ensure cat eats all the wet food daily. At the VERY minimum each cat should get one 3oz. can of wet food a day or HALF of a 5.5oz. can a day (although we recommend double this). :::::::::::: More info here: FurryNationSalvation.Org/wetfood IF YOU WANT TO ADOPT: 1) Please show up with a cat carrier 2) Small adoption fee of: 45 3) I will call/text one month from adoption day just to make sure everything is going well 4) Please show up with your Driver's License. 5) Information sheet will be filled out (your information as well as mine) *Please know that when you bring your newly adopted cat or kitten home, it is always BEST to place him/her in a very small room (bathroom works great) with their litter box, food, water, and bed for a few days to a few weeks. This way the animal can adjust much quicker and get acclimated to the new environment with less stress. All cats/kittens need time to adjust, so if you adopt please allow this. Thank you. Story
I will be shy at the first transition but warm up quickly ! I love to be pet and picked up . I have been through a lot and I am used to being with a group of 14 cats that had to rescued when our owner passed away . I will need to be adopted with my sister , Adele. She makes me feel safe . Please consider giving us both a home. Lionel and Adele would probably not be a good fit for dogs or young kids in the home. They need patience and calm environment to help them adapt .
