Story
Hello, I’m Annie ??I’m a gorgeous 3-year-old Maine Coon with a soft gaze, luxurious fur, and a very gentle heart. I came from an out-of-state hoarding situation where I lived alongside 250 other cats — which is a lot for anyone, even a social butterfly.Despite that overwhelming beginning, I’m incredibly sweet and calm. I enjoy people and appreciate affection, but I also value my space. I may be able to live with another cat after a slow, thoughtful introduction, though I’d also be perfectly happy being your one-and-only and soaking up all the attention myself. As a Maine Coon, I do come with a few important notes. My breed can be prone to certain health conditions, including heart and hip issues, so my future family should be committed to regular veterinary care. I also require consistent brushing to keep my beautiful coat healthy and mat-free — it’s part of the package when you adopt a queen like me.I’ve shared enough space in my life. Now I’m ready for something quieter, calmer, and truly mine.If you’re looking for a stunning companion with a gentle soul — and you’re ready for the responsibility that comes with loving a Maine Coon — I’d love to meet you ???Annie is spayed, dewormed, microchipped, tested for FIV and FeLV and is up to date with vaccines. Her adoption fee is $800.00. Annie will also get one free exam with one of our participating veterinarians within 30 days of his adoption. If you`d like to meet her please visit, we`re conveniently located in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn near the F train (Ft Hamilton Pkwy) and the B16 bus.Annie can`t wait to meet you! We`re open daily for adoptions from 11am to 5:30pm. Story
Max short for Maxine (we thought he was a girl) was born 11/25/15. His mom is Siamese and his dad is Maine coon. He has only lived with one family and has 2 human siblings along with another Cat sibling and a dog sibling. He gets along with kids and cats but would prefer to not be around dogs. He will hiss and sometimes chase the dog. Max tends to stay away from the dog as much as possible. Max spends his days lounging and cuddling on laps when they are available. He loves to be pet and has a loud motor. He is a good night sleeper and is not picky about food brands. He is a grazer when it comes to meals. He prefers running water to traditional water bowls. He is a fan of cat nip. He also only likes traditional cat litter (no pellets for him). We are looking for a loving home for Max due to health issues with one of his human siblings Thank you for taking the time to read Max’s bio and consider him if he is a good fit for your family.

Story
ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)     Pure is arriving to us on Feb 26 from Saudi Arabia.  A 2.5y male Maine Coon mix is a little dominant with other kitties if he doesn't love them but is very playful and cuddly if he does. History: found abandoned but too cuddly and friendly to leave behind, he was the easiest catch ever-- he just entered the carrier and enjoyed being safe indoors again. spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FELV. All kittens are adoptable in pairs only unless another age appropriate cat is in residence.  Most of our adult cats also like cat company (most fosters are multicat homes).  Please read the following article on cat food to see why no dry: www.catinfo.org Facebook:Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there) Twitter: zanisff  Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   All cats are in the NY area.  Cats are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped.  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site      https://zanisfurryfriends.org      fill out an application and return to   cats@zanisfurryfriends.org   Please note: kittens must be adopted in pairs or to households with age appropriate cat(s) to ensure proper socialization and companionship. NO exceptions! If you would prefer a solo cat, we would be happy to recommend those cats who would do best as solo cats. All our cats are tested for feline leukemia and FIV, FVRCP and Rabies vaxed and also microchipped.   Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent.  Please ask by writing us at cats@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too. Please come! And if you can't adopt, foster or volunteer, you can always donate! If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us info@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet.  It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent  Follow us on FB, Zani's Furry Friends ZFF, for latest updates. Usually we are in our foster homes so all this is a bit more stressful but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer. And you can always donate:) Cats and Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD w/ all age appropriate shots and microchipped. Cats are feline combo tested for FIV/FeLV; dogs are heartworm tested and rabies vax'd, (NOT lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it); rabbits are spayed/neutered. Please fill out an application and email to: For Cats: cats@zanisfurryfriends.org For Dogs: dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org For Rabbits: nyc.acc.rabbits@gmail.com. Please visit our website zanisfurryfriends.org.
