Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Meet Sugaranne! She is a gorgeous, fluffy Maine Coon mix who has a sweet and loving personality. She is about 1 year old and was rescued from a shelter in North Carolina. She is very scared of other cats and dogs, she would be most comfortable and feel safest in a home without other animals. She enjoys human companionship and likes being pet and doted on by her foster mom. She will make a lovely addition to your home! This cat is spayed, microchipped, tested negative for FIV and Leukemia and is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a 'Cat Adoption Application'   at   www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms       Adoption fee is: $200Can’t adopt? Consider donating! We are in need of cat food, litter, and enrichment items for the kitties in our care!    Links to our Amazon and Chewy wishlists: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/QFBUQI1CQBCZhttps://chewygivesback.prf.hn/click/camref:1100lkBUr/destination:https%3A%2F%2Fwww.chewy.com%2Fg%2Fdelaware-pet-rescue_b88829590 If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit a 'Cat Adoption Application'   at   www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms    This website is updated daily.  If the animal you are interested in adopting is listed as 'available for adoption', that means the animal is still in DPR's care. *Please note - we do not do in-person meet and greets. She is extremely friendly and loves to be cuddled. She is a very relaxed kitty who has been very well behaved at her foster home. She will sleep next to you all night and cuddle you all day. Even if she's snoozing in a cozy spot, if you call her, she will run right over to you to get some pets. She enjoys playing with her wand toys. She wants ALL the attention and would be happiest as an only cat.  This cat is spayed, microchipped, tested negative for FIV and Leukemia and is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Meet Marc! You will be hard pressed to find a more outgoing, friendly and affectionate cat!! Seriously, this guy is a keeper!! He does not have a shy bone in his body, he's the cat equivalent of a Golden Retriever. He's super loving and has never met a stranger. He will run to the door to greet you when you get home and climb right onto your lap and nuzzle your face. It sure is easy to fall in love with Marc! He so badly wants a home of his very own - he showed up one day trying to get into someone's house and refused to leave. They asked if we could take him and find him a great home and of course we said yes. He is about 1 year old and has super soft fluffy hair. He loves other cats, he loves dog, he loves children. He will make an amazing addition to one very lucky home!   This cat is neutered, microchipped, tested negative for FIV and Leukemia and is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Meet Gigi! Can you believe this little girl was found in the euthanasia room in a shelter in North Carolina?? She was not a shelter cat and nobody has any idea how she got there. The staff heard meowing from the euthanasia room, went in and there was this friendly little kitten who jumped into their arms. The euthanasia room in an overcrowded shelter is no place for a friendly, healthy kitten, so we were contacted to take her. She is at DPR now, and WOW what a friendly and affectionate kitten! She LOVES everyone she meets - she's wonderful with cats, dogs and children. She has gigantic round eyes that always make her seem a little alarmed, but we assure you she's not as crazy as her eyes make her seem - she's actually pretty mellow, and wants nothing more than to just get love and snuggles from her human friends. We adore this little girl and we know you will too!  This cat is spayed, microchipped, tested negative for FIV and Leukemia and is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations. Story
Plea for help from Jonathan: “My friend and I took in several feral cats a while ago. Most are now socialized and many are bonded pairs/families. Since we are both experiencing severe health problems currently and a move from the area has become necessary, we can no longer care for the cats. We are looking for good homes for them.   We are located in Clinton, MD (southern PG County). The best method of reaching us is: zcathouse.md@gmail.com”   Mushmellow [a.k.a. 'Mush'] (NM, Brown Tabby?, DLH?/Maine Coon?, ~7+ years?) & Scout (NM, Black, DSH, ~6+ years?) Mush[mellow] never liked hanging out at the salad bowl, but his food bowl is his claim to fame and weight gain. Scout waits patiently for his turn. And even though Mush also hogs their bed, Scout still loves him and they always work it out. They are best buds for life! Two gentle giants who were found at our local Rite Aid, and are, thus, referred to as the "Rite Brothers". That said, we don't know whether they are siblings, or even related at all, though it is clear they are strongly bonded and have great affection for one another. Mushmellow was initially quite larger than Scout, so we believe there may be some age difference. Whatever the case, they are both big dudes who will need lots of exercise - along with a relatively strict diet. Mushmellow has a tendency to give some pretty strong 'love bites', but he means well. Scout, on the other hand, likes to make sure he knows where his 'brother' is most of the time.   Disclaimer: AAHA provides complimentary listings for members of the community who wish to rehome their pet, as well as for other shelters/ rescues to assist them in finding Furever homes.
