Story
We are looking to rehome this little lady (Zyro). As you can see she is a beautiful 10 year old Maine Coon. She is healthy and declawed. She is super sweet! Loves belly rubs. She would make a great companion for anyone, young or elderly. She was with a family member for sometime but they were unable to care for her. She has been living her life in a bedroom due to dogs in the house. I would love for her to have the freedom she deserves. 🐱💕

DISCLOSURE: The adoptable pets in our program are still in the care and custody of owners who wish to re-home their pet. Owners have enlisted Rescue Well to provide marketing and screening of applicants as a service, free of charge. All fees and adoption conditions are determined by the owner. We advise that adopters do not send payment or deposits for pets prior to adopting.  ***** Frostie is 13yo, weighs 15lbs, is neutered, is up to date on his vaccines, is FeLV/FIV negative as veterinary records will substantiate, but is not microchipped.  He dislikes/fears loud noises, dogs, having his belly touched.  He meows during car rides.  Frostie's guardian adds:            " We adopted Frostie when he was found as a kitten in a barn, and he has never let go of his farm-like instincts.  He is an incredible hunter, often bringing us gifts and leaving them at the front door.  When he isn't outside lounging in the sun or showing off his hunting skills, he is looking to cuddle up to someone in the house.  He is very much a lap cat for about 15-20 minutes, collects his cuddles and head scratches, and goes off to find a quiet spot in the home to enjoy some much deserved rest.  As Frostie is part mainecoon, he is a big boy with a gorgeous mane.  He loves to be brushed and will purr so loud that you can hear him from across the room.  I am pretty sure that he is part human, as he will actually converse with you via different meows (especially the meow that politely requests a treat) and he has never intentionally scratched or attacked us. If we get too close to scratching his belly or scratch at the base of his tail for too long, he will let out a hiss to let you know he is no longer a fan of the loving session.  We always found this respectable as other cats will likely let their claws do the talking without any warning at all. Frostie is a perfect cat for anyone who is willing to give him the head scratches he deserves & a sunny area to lounge in.  We are devastated that we can no longer accommodate him due to my mothers worsening condition, as he deserves to live out the rest of his days with nothing but love." Frostie's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome him:   "My mom recently underwent chemotherapy and is finding herself weaker and unable to care for Frostie.  In his excitement, he will often run under her feet resulting in a few falls.  We love him so much, and I did try taking him into my home but my own cat did not approve of his new brother.  Frostie is sensing the tension and appears to be unhappy, urinating on my moms semi new couch and rug.  We attempted to take him to the vet to ensure he did not have any urinary issues, but the vet stated that this is likely due to anxiety the fact that the couches are indeed semi new.  He was medically cleared.  Between all of these factors, mom has been trying her best but with the risk of falls and being immunocompromised, we have made the difficult decision to try and rehome him." Frostie's guardian offers a brief medical history:  He once had a urinary blockage and is now eating Purina Urinary Health. Frostie's guardian states the following regarding children:  Although Frostie has lived with children, ages 0-5, his guardian doesn't recommend his living with children, stating "Scared, hides, allows them to pet him if they are gentle and quiet in doing so". Frostie's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Frostie hasn't lived with or otherwise been around dogs, so his guardian doesn't recommend his living with dogs, stating "Scared, hides." Frostie's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Frostie has lived with cats, so his guardian recommends his living with cats, stating "It takes some time of course but he does warm up to other cats in the home.  He often goes outside and hangs out with the neigbhor's cats." Frostie's guardian describes him as: Very active Playful Friendly Likes to be touched Affectionate Fearful Always at your side Frostie's guardian describes his ideal future home: "A home with access to outdoors (he doesn’t roam far anymore, likes to stay right outside the door and enjoy the sunshine / birds).  Preferably a home with no young children or dogs." Story
Plea for help from Jonathan: “My friend and I took in several feral cats a while ago. Most are now socialized and many are bonded pairs/families. Since we are both experiencing severe health problems currently and a move from the area has become necessary, we can no longer care for the cats. We are looking for good homes for them.   We are located in Clinton, MD (southern PG County). The best method of reaching us is: zcathouse.md@gmail.com”   Mushmellow [a.k.a. 'Mush'] (NM, Brown Tabby?, DLH?/Maine Coon?, ~7+ years?) & Scout (NM, Black, DSH, ~6+ years?) Mush[mellow] never liked hanging out at the salad bowl, but his food bowl is his claim to fame and weight gain. Scout waits patiently for his turn. And even though Mush also hogs their bed, Scout still loves him and they always work it out. They are best buds for life! Two gentle giants who were found at our local Rite Aid, and are, thus, referred to as the "Rite Brothers". That said, we don't know whether they are siblings, or even related at all, though it is clear they are strongly bonded and have great affection for one another. Mushmellow was initially quite larger than Scout, so we believe there may be some age difference. Whatever the case, they are both big dudes who will need lots of exercise - along with a relatively strict diet. Mushmellow has a tendency to give some pretty strong 'love bites', but he means well. Scout, on the other hand, likes to make sure he knows where his 'brother' is most of the time.   Disclaimer: AAHA provides complimentary listings for members of the community who wish to rehome their pet, as well as for other shelters/ rescues to assist them in finding Furever homes. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online  Adoption Application very loving cat   THE FOLLOWING CAT IS BEING CARED FOR IN A LOVING MCR FOSTER HOME. "Romeo" qualifies for our Senior to Senior Adoption Program.   Please ask your Case Manager for details about this program. The vet estimates Romeo to be 10 years old, but he is young at heart. He is very playful and such a happy and loving cat! He reaches out his paw for you to pet him. He sometimes uses his teeth to show affection but isn't aggressive about it. It's more like love bites. He has never hissed or scratched. He is just so laid back and sweet! He likes to roll over and show his fluffy belly to you!  He has perfect litter box habits and is neat and tidy with his grooming. He is a perfect gentleman! When Romeo came to us, he was so malnourished and flea infested that he was missing some hair in certain places. He was a pitiful sight but was still so loving and friendly. He is doing very well now and his hair has grown back fully! He eats well too. Don't let the age of this cat fool you. He is young at heart and physically as well. Romeo's foster mom named him Romeo because of how loving he is! She could tell by his purrsonality that he most likely belonged to someone at one time. She could tell that he had been on the streets for a while because of his condition but doesn't think he has ever been mistreated. He would be best as an "Only cat". With his soulful emerald green eyes, large paws, and big heart, does this beautiful lover have a place in your heart? He is available for adoption within 250 miles of his location. Romeo's adoption fee is $150.00. This includes neuter, up-to-date vaccines, microchip, combo test (neg), and a wellness exam. For more information, please contact Rachel at : rranimalz36@gmail.com.
