Story
Meet Brisket, my incredibly affectionate and loving cat! She adores spending time with her people—whether it’s cuddling on the couch, following you around, or just being close. She’s a true companion who thrives on attention and has a sweet, gentle personality and wonderful with kids. Due to life changes, I’m sadly looking for her perfect new home. Brisket is up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, and otherwise in good health. She does have feline herpesvirus (FHV-1), a very common lifelong condition in cats that causes occasional sneezing and mild upper respiratory symptoms (like a cold). It flares up with stress but is easily managed with a low-stress environment, lysine supplements (which many owners use daily), and vet care as needed for flare-ups. It’s not contagious to humans or dogs—only to other cats through close contact.

Story
MAKES SOFT LITTLE CHIRPS AS HE GOES ABOUT HIS DAY  DOB 6/1/25 Hey there, everyone! I’m Franklin, a sweet, gentle, and easygoing mitted black Maine Coon/ domestic medium hair mix fella with a big fluffy tail and a wide white bib. I possess all the endearing attributes of a Maine Coon -- a loving nature, a calm disposition, and intelligence – all while I make soft little chirps as I go about my day. In my unassuming way, I like to station myself near my beloved hoomans, either cuddled in their laps or hanging out close by when they’re busy working. When I’m not napping in their laps, I like to relax on the cat tree or bask in a patch of sunshine on the windowsill because both spots provide ideal views of the fascinating wildlife outside. A 17-year-old boy found my twin sister Eleanor (Roosevelt) and me perched on a neighborhood curb with no momma in sight. We were tiny and unable to fend for ourselves, so this young Good Samaritan first went door to door to find where we belonged and then brought us home when his efforts proved fruitless. It broke his heart that his younger brother proved allergic to cats, so he cared for us upstairs until his dad contacted our future foster meowmy to take us in. We are grateful that Foster Meowmy, an experienced cat rescuer, agreed to transport us to the safe haven of her home, where we have flourished along with another litter of rescued kittens who were born a month apart from us. Now I’m ready to bring my relaxed demeanor and delightful companionship to my forever family. Although I haven’t been around kids, Main Coons are usually very patient with small children. If you’re looking for a laid-back, lovable fluff ball, I’m your man! Don’t be surprised if I pick up wet food with my front paws because this is another endearing Maine Coon quirk. HOPE ID 26-0214-A003 Franklin’s $125 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites. To apply online: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site Franklin will be this weekend, email us at nancy.e.kline@hotmail.com, and a volunteer will get back to you. Story
Peanut was rescued from Friendswood shelter. He is extremely lovable. He is a plump cat. His perfect day is having his head and back scratched for hours while sleeping on you. He is very gentle. Loves people. With my new schedule having me spend 15 hours a day away from the house I can’t take care of my animals anymore and I need to find them good homes

Story
Due to a terminal illness, I have to find a home asap for my beloved Chuck, a beautiful senior Maine Coon who showed up on my doorstep nine years ago fully grown, fixed, and has never had a health issue. She is very sweet and affectionate, and is happy being a lap cat or just curled up on the sofa on her own. She is healthy, box trained, likes to go outside and watch the world, but is perfectly happy being an indoor cat, which is what she has been for the past year. She never strays far if she does go out, and comes when you call her. She doesn’t play noisily or jump all over you, doesn’t bite or scratch, and I have never seen her in a bad mood. She is a big girl and not a jumper, but doesn’t have arthritis or hip dysplasia, she’s just about 12. I don’t want to find her a new home, but I need to, as I have a terminal illness and need to find someone who will loved her for the rest of her life, which will be several good years, as she is very healthy.
