Meet Sophia! 🐾 A plea from a kind trapper went out looking for a rescue, and E Rescue stepped in to help. Sophia was a stray who was going to be TNR’d, but she needed urgent vet care for a fever and a swollen leg. After X-rays, pain meds, and anti-inflammatories, she’s on the mend—vet suspects she was bitten by something. Sophia is scheduled to be spayed soon, but you can apply now to meet her and even pre-adopt! Her foster mom says she’s an absolute sweetheart and a total love. 💛

Sheru is very gentle and loving cat. He's been with us since he was a baby. We are giving him away because my daughter is going away for college and I have been diagnosed with a health condition for which I will be away from home frequently. He is litter trained and is very calm and playful.

Gandalf is the sweetest, most amazing cat. He is so good with kids, though, as a senior, he prefers lower-energy environments. If he trusts you, you can pick him up, and he'll hang like a ragdoll, without biting or clawing. He is a great lap kitty. I estimate he's about 12 years old. I've always been allergic to cats, and thought I could never own a cat, but Gandalf never bothered my allergies. I've had him 10 years. I love him to death. However, my work schedule has changed, and I find it difficult to stay on top of his grooming needs. We are also planning to move out of state, and are concerned it would be too hard on him. His last vaccines were 2021, so he may be due. His tummy is sensitive. He does very well with a combo of half a can of wet Digestive Care by Blue Buffalo in the morning and 3/4 cup of dry, grain-free cat food (Heritage Farms Senior cat by H-E-B). I am looking for a loving, calm home for him where he can enjoy his senior years as a sweet, cuddly lap kitty.

Unfortunately my boyfriend has made the end of my pregnancy very hard with fighting with me constantly about my 8 month old kitten, I dont have any choice but to rehome him to try to find some peace especially within our relationship. If anyone is looking for a special boy please let me know thank you.

A Velcro kitty who is your shadow. Personality Harvey doesn't think there is anyone in the world who isn’t his best friend. He is so outgoing, super smart and wants to communicate. He can get frustrated if you don't understand what he wants. He would be a good candidate to be trained to use the talking buttons you see on social media. He often prefers attention from people over food. He is independent and bold, brave and affectionate. Harvey was big and muscular when he came to GNAR, but after being neutered, has slimmed down. He was very successful as an outdoor cat. Resourceful and generous with helping other cats, and sweet talking people not-so-subtly to bend to his will. He is a kitty politician. If you are a dog person, this is the cat for you. You could probably teach him tricks. He is attentive and wants you to please him : D Background Harvey and Necia were found as strays together. Outgoing Harvey showed up first outside of an industrial building where the employees started to gain his trust and feed him. Uber-friendly Harvey accepted their invitations for friendship after a short while, and soon started inviting himself inside the front door, so they decided it was probably time to look for a new home for him. After he then also brought his new girlfriend Necia to join him, everyone started worrying that there would be kittens if they didn’t do something to prevent it soon. Harvey was very protective of Necia, so they didn’t get chance to get close enough to her to see if she was also tame. Once the 2 cats started getting too bold and trying to come indoors to the office, the employee contacted GNAR to help find a home for them. So they borrowed traps, and brought them to their new foster home. Harvey continued to guard Necia, so the foster home separated them to let Necia show her true personality. Harvey also sweetened up more after he was relieved of his perceived responsibility as Necia's protector and provider.
