Story
🐶 Loving Home Needed for Sweet Senior Maltese × Toy Poodle It breaks our hearts to write this, but we’re looking for a wonderful forever home for our beloved 11-year-old Maltese × Toy Poodle. We’re relocating permanently to Australia, and after speaking with our veterinarian and researching the process, we’ve made the incredibly difficult decision that the long international flight and mandatory quarantine would be too much for her at her age. About her: • 11 years old • Maltese × Toy Poodle • Approximately 8 lbs • Spayed (fixed) • Up to date on all vaccinations • Has no remaining teeth (this doesn’t slow her down at all—she eats just fine!) • Sweet, loving companion who loves being close to her people Our only goal is finding someone who will love her as much as we do during her senior years. We are not charging a rehoming fee—finding the right home is far more important to us than money.

Story
Hi, I'm Daisy!  I’m a tiny, 8-lb Maltese/Poodle blend girl and I'm 10 years old. My hearing and vision aren't what they used to be, but I don’t let that stop me from exploring. Now I just need to discover a very special, patient family who will love me just the way I am. Favorite Things: Daisy LOVES her food and loves soaking up attention. Toys and playing are not really her thing, but exploring her surroundings is high on her list of favorite activities. She also loves being around her person and will sit next to them as much as possible (and extra close in bed at night). Training & Manners:  Daisy is working on her house training and will need to be taken outside frequently.  Due to her vision, she doesn’t do well on a leash so will need more practice with leash walking, and her hearing sometimes makes it difficult to communicate with her. The good news is that she is highly food-motivated to improve her manners.  She is verbal when she wants food but is otherwise quiet. Health and Care: Daisy is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. She is on daily drops for dry eyes and takes her monthly preventatives for fleas and heartworm, along with medications for anxiety. She will likely require professional grooming every 6-8 weeks to keep her looking and feeling her best. Other Animals:  Daisy has experience with other small dogs and cats.  Children: This gentle, curious gal would do best in a home with respectful teens only.    Ideal Home: Daisy would do well in an apartment, condo or single-family home.  Her “dream” home would be a house without steps (although she is tiny enough to carry) and no pool (for safety reasons with her vision impairment).  A fenced yard would keep her safe and give her room for her adventurous explorations. She has free rein of her foster home and can be left for several hours without issues. She sleeps in the “people bed” at night and is happy to cozy up to her person. Overall: Daisy is a great and loyal companion asking only for food, love, attention, and patience (and creativity when it comes to communication.)  Could special Daisy be the one for you? If so, visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org and submit an adoption application. If it looks like a good fit, her foster family will reach out with more information. Her adoption donation is $175. ##2667454##

*** Bonded – Codey and Lexie are bonded and must be adopted together. Meet Codey and Lexie! Hi, we’re Lexie and Codey, lifelong companions who adore each other and are ready to bring our gentle, senior sweetness to a new family. We’re calm, affectionate, easygoing, and we’re hoping to find a home with room in the heart for two. Codey: I’m a 13yearold Maltese blend boy who weighs 8 pounds. I’m young at heart, love staying close to my person, and bring a warm, cheerful presence wherever I go. I’m devoted, cuddly, and always ready to join in on whatever my human is doing. Lexie: I’m a 12-yearold Shih Tzu girl who weighs 10 pounds. I’m an independent soul who enjoys quiet moments, cozy spots, and choosing affection when it feels just right. I may be small, but I’m steady, observant, and full of soft charm. Favorite Things  Codey: Codey loves staying near his person and happily shadows them throughout the day. He enjoys curling up on the couch, stretching out in bed, and following familiar routines. While toys don’t interest him much, he’s delighted by breakfast and dinner and cleans his bowl with gusto. He naps often but perks up the moment his human moves, eager to join in. Lexie: Lexie enjoys peaceful moments and likes having her own little nook to unwind in. She’s independent and chooses affection on her terms, occasionally settling beside her person when she feels social. Toys aren’t her priority, but she loves mealtime and finishes every bowl with enthusiasm. During storms or fireworks she appreciates being close, showing her sweetest, most tender side. Training and Manners Lexie and Codey are both housetrained when given regular outdoor breaks and have lovely manners. They walk politely on a leash and enjoy calm car rides, making outings simple and pleasant.  Codey: Codey sleeps soundly either in his bed or curled up beside his person and quickly adapts to the rhythm of his home. Once he feels settled, he lets his human know when he needs to go outside, adding a thoughtful, communicative touch to his easygoing nature. Lexie: Lexie settles comfortably in her dog bed at night and enjoys a calm, predictable routine. She allows being picked up with gentle caution and moves through her day with a soft, steady ease that makes her feel right at home. Health and Care  Lexie and Codey are both microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and will need monthly flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives, just like any other dog. Codey: Codey is neutered and also enjoys soft food, eating well and maintaining a healthy appetite. His grooming routine is easy, and he stays relaxed throughout baths and trims. Lexie: Lexie is spayed and despite having no teeth, eats beautifully and finishes her meals with enthusiasm. Monthly grooming keeps her comfortable, and she handles it with patient cooperation. Other Animals: Lexie and Codey are comfortable with dogs of all sizes and greet them with gentle curiosity. Their calm nature makes them easy companions for friendly canine households. Cats aren’t the right match for their interest level, but they blend beautifully into homes with respectful dogs. Children: Both dogs have experience with children of all ages and handle interactions with patience and softness. Their steady, easygoing personalities make them wonderful companions for families who teach kids to be kind to senior pups. Ideal Home: Codey and Lexie would thrive in a quiet, loving home where their people are around often. They enjoy calm environments, predictable routines, and spaces where they can rest comfortably. Apartment or condo living suits them well as long as they receive regular outdoor breaks and companionship. They balance independence with affection and appreciate having their humans close throughout the day. Overall: Codey and Lexi are a bonded pair of gentle, loyal seniors who bring warmth, sweetness, and peaceful companionship wherever they go. They complement each other beautifully — one calm and observant, the other social and devoted — and together they offer a comforting, heartwarming presence. They’re ready to share their golden years with a family who will cherish their soft spirits and give them the loving home they deserve. Are you the one for this pair? If so, visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to fill out an adoption application. If it seems like it could be a good match, their foster family will reach out with more information. Their adoption donation is $250 for BOTH PUPS. ##2709876##

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application Meet Molly! At 16 years young, Molly has perfected the art of being the ideal companion. This sweet senior girl is looking for a cozy place to spend her golden years surrounded by love, soft beds, and her favorite people. She is a Maltese and weighs 13 lbs. Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Meet sweet Mozart! He may not be play the piano, but he brings so much joy! He is just one of those really happy doggies, and his personality matches his sweet face. About 7 years old and 9.5 pounds, he is the perfect age and size to slide right into his new family with ease.  His foster parents have watched him thrive in their home with another dog of similar size. But he has also spent time with visiting bigger dogs and has done wonderfully. He is friendly to everyone and ready for any available hands to pet him. He'll let you know when he needs some love with a sweet nudge of his head under your free (or not free) hand. And once he is had his quota of pets from his humans? He will jump down to cozy up on the floor, or a dog bed, or even in his crate (with a dog bed of course!). And at that point, he flops over on his back and passes out belly up. He sleeps well through the night, and is very adaptable - will sleep on floor, in bed, in dog bed or in a crate as long as he is in the same room as his humans. He does very well in a crate when left alone in the house, and is completely house trained when taken out on a regular schedule (he has not had one accident in the fosters house!). He whines just a bit in the car, but with more exposure we think that would improve. He had not walked on a leash very much before he came into our care, so he is working on better loose-leash walking, but has improved so much already with some "look at me" and treat-training, and he is not super reactive to other dogs on leash. He knows "sit" and "bed" and is working on "lay down" and "wait" and is food motivated and smart. He has moderate energy - is not a huge fan of toys but does love to chase a ball. He would do well in a house with other dog(s) but would also be ok in a home where he gets all the attention. As a Maltese-Yorkie mix he will need frequent brushing and regular grooming to keep his beautiful hair looking it's best (which also means he sheds very little!) He looks at you so sweetly - you fall in love immediately. Mozart was given away by his owner for free to a stranger on Facebook, and luckily for him she was a caring person who got in contact with our rescue due to his medical needs that had been neglected. He came to us with severe dental disease. He has bounced back wonderfully from his neuter and dental surgery (where he had 10 teeth removed). The vet prioritized the worst dental work needed, while not keeping him under anesthesia too long, but he does still need an additional dental and extractions in approx. 6 months, which his owner will need to have done. If you believe you have the perfect forever home for Mozart, complete an app and tell us more about your family. August 11, 2026, 11:35 am

Story
Andy is a very affectionate loving boy. He’s very jealous of other dogs and wants to be the only one being pet. His best friend Jesse. Has been his crate since they were puppies, and has a hard time being separated from her. So preferably adopted together. He’s very aggressive to other dogs, but he can adapt with time and patience. He has been around other cats and dogs in my family. I don’t think he’s fan of men, but then again he will get used to them with time. He needs a yard to run around in and they need to be walked several times a day. If given enough attention, they are very good dogs. I have two jobs that require me to be away all day long so I cannot take care of them any longer.
