Story
So pookie is very loving she loves to kiss and she jumps a lot on you. She has been around children and she’s great with them but like I said she jumps a lot. I have a cat and she likes to smell her butt and wants to play but my cat is not interested in playing. She pounces on my cat. She will be turning 6yrs old the day after Christmas. I have her records since I got her at 3 months old. She is actually from PETSMART. I paid $6000 for her. She is basically a vegetarian. I used to feed her chicken but it really made her eyes brownish red and now I feed her vegetarian dry food. And fresh veggies. She needs a lot of love and attention and exercise. Her nails are very hard and she gives me bruises because of my skin age. I clean her eyes daily.

Story
Hi, I’m Phillip, a 9monthold Maltese-Poodle blend weighing 10 pounds. My name means “lover of horses,” but at my size, I think I’m much better suited for riding shotgun than riding horses! I’m a happy, social guy who enjoys tagging along for car rides and seeing what each day has in store. I have an enthusiastic spirit, a wagging tail, and a knack for making friends wherever I go. Favorite Things: Phillip loves companionship and has never met a stranger he doesn’t want to greet. He enjoys snuggling, handing out kisses, and spending time with the people he loves. While toys are not a huge priority for him, he absolutely loves playtime with canine friends. Food also ranks high on his list of favorite things, making him an easy dog to motivate. Training and Manners: Phillip walks nicely on a leash and enjoys riding in the car. He is still working on house training and polishing his basic manners, but he’s a bright young dog with plenty of potential. His food motivation helps make learning fun, and he should continue making great progress with consistency and positive guidance. Health and Care: Phillip is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. He is a healthy boy and will simply need monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives like any dog. His Maltese-Poodle coat will require professional grooming every 4 to 6 weeks to keep him looking and feeling his best. Other Animals: Phillip does wonderfully with other pets. He has experience with calm dogs and enjoys having a canine friend around. He has also lived successfully with cats, making him a great candidate for a multi-pet household. Children: Phillip can do well with children of all ages. His cheerful personality and playful spirit make him a fun companion for families. Ideal Home: Phillip thrives in a singlefamily home where he has plenty of company throughout the day. He forms strong bonds with his people and can become vocal when left on his own for long periods, simply because he enjoys being near those he loves. A fenced yard would be a wonderful bonus for helping him burn off some evening energy, Overall: Phillip is a delightful young dog with a bright personality and an eagerness to make every day more fun. While his name may mean “lover of horses,” Phillip would much rather gallop straight into the heart of his future family. If Phillip sounds like the perfect match, visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to submit an adoption application. If it seems like a good fit, his foster family will reach out. His adoption donation is $650. ##2844272##

Story
Hi, I'm Daisy!  I’m a tiny, 8-lb Maltese/Poodle blend girl and I'm 10 years old. My hearing and vision aren't what they used to be, but I don’t let that stop me from exploring. Now I just need to discover a very special, patient family who will love me just the way I am. Favorite Things: Daisy LOVES her food and loves soaking up attention. Toys and playing are not really her thing, but exploring her surroundings is high on her list of favorite activities. She also loves being around her person and will sit next to them as much as possible (and extra close in bed at night). Training & Manners:  Daisy is working on her house training and will need to be taken outside frequently.  Due to her vision, she doesn’t do well on a leash so will need more practice with leash walking, and her hearing sometimes makes it difficult to communicate with her. The good news is that she is highly food-motivated to improve her manners.  She is verbal when she wants food but is otherwise quiet. Health and Care: Daisy is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. She is on daily drops for dry eyes and takes her monthly preventatives for fleas and heartworm, along with medications for anxiety. She will likely require professional grooming every 6-8 weeks to keep her looking and feeling her best. Other Animals:  Daisy has experience with other small dogs and cats.  Children: This gentle, curious gal would do best in a home with respectful teens only.    Ideal Home: Daisy would do well in an apartment, condo or single-family home.  Her “dream” home would be a house without steps (although she is tiny enough to carry) and no pool (for safety reasons with her vision impairment).  A fenced yard would keep her safe and give her room for her adventurous explorations. She has free rein of her foster home and can be left for several hours without issues. She sleeps in the “people bed” at night and is happy to cozy up to her person. Overall: Daisy is a great and loyal companion asking only for food, love, attention, and patience (and creativity when it comes to communication.)  Could special Daisy be the one for you? If so, visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org and submit an adoption application. If it looks like a good fit, her foster family will reach out with more information. Her adoption donation is $175. ##2667454##

Story
*** Bonded – Codey and Lexie are bonded and must be adopted together. Meet Codey and Lexie! Hi, we’re Lexie and Codey, lifelong companions who adore each other and are ready to bring our gentle, senior sweetness to a new family. We’re calm, affectionate, easygoing, and we’re hoping to find a home with room in the heart for two. Codey: I’m a 13yearold Maltese blend boy who weighs 8 pounds. I’m young at heart, love staying close to my person, and bring a warm, cheerful presence wherever I go. I’m devoted, cuddly, and always ready to join in on whatever my human is doing. Lexie: I’m a 12-yearold Shih Tzu girl who weighs 10 pounds. I’m an independent soul who enjoys quiet moments, cozy spots, and choosing affection when it feels just right. I may be small, but I’m steady, observant, and full of soft charm. Favorite Things  Codey: Codey loves staying near his person and happily shadows them throughout the day. He enjoys curling up on the couch, stretching out in bed, and following familiar routines. While toys don’t interest him much, he’s delighted by breakfast and dinner and cleans his bowl with gusto. He naps often but perks up the moment his human moves, eager to join in. Lexie: Lexie enjoys peaceful moments and likes having her own little nook to unwind in. She’s independent and chooses affection on her terms, occasionally settling beside her person when she feels social. Toys aren’t her priority, but she loves mealtime and finishes every bowl with enthusiasm. During storms or fireworks she appreciates being close, showing her sweetest, most tender side. Training and Manners Lexie and Codey are both housetrained when given regular outdoor breaks and have lovely manners. They walk politely on a leash and enjoy calm car rides, making outings simple and pleasant.  Codey: Codey sleeps soundly either in his bed or curled up beside his person and quickly adapts to the rhythm of his home. Once he feels settled, he lets his human know when he needs to go outside, adding a thoughtful, communicative touch to his easygoing nature. Lexie: Lexie settles comfortably in her dog bed at night and enjoys a calm, predictable routine. She allows being picked up with gentle caution and moves through her day with a soft, steady ease that makes her feel right at home. Health and Care  Lexie and Codey are both microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and will need monthly flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives, just like any other dog. Codey: Codey is neutered and also enjoys soft food, eating well and maintaining a healthy appetite. His grooming routine is easy, and he stays relaxed throughout baths and trims. Lexie: Lexie is spayed and despite having no teeth, eats beautifully and finishes her meals with enthusiasm. Monthly grooming keeps her comfortable, and she handles it with patient cooperation. Other Animals: Lexie and Codey are comfortable with dogs of all sizes and greet them with gentle curiosity. Their calm nature makes them easy companions for friendly canine households. Cats aren’t the right match for their interest level, but they blend beautifully into homes with respectful dogs. Children: Both dogs have experience with children of all ages and handle interactions with patience and softness. Their steady, easygoing personalities make them wonderful companions for families who teach kids to be kind to senior pups. Ideal Home: Codey and Lexie would thrive in a quiet, loving home where their people are around often. They enjoy calm environments, predictable routines, and spaces where they can rest comfortably. Apartment or condo living suits them well as long as they receive regular outdoor breaks and companionship. They balance independence with affection and appreciate having their humans close throughout the day. Overall: Codey and Lexi are a bonded pair of gentle, loyal seniors who bring warmth, sweetness, and peaceful companionship wherever they go. They complement each other beautifully — one calm and observant, the other social and devoted — and together they offer a comforting, heartwarming presence. They’re ready to share their golden years with a family who will cherish their soft spirits and give them the loving home they deserve. Are you the one for this pair? If so, visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to fill out an adoption application. If it seems like it could be a good match, their foster family will reach out with more information. Their adoption donation is $250 for BOTH PUPS. ##2709876##
