PLEASE NOTE: LOOK OVER YOUR APPLICATION BEFORE HITTING SUBMIT, AS INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL BE IMMEDIATELY CLOSED. Hi I’m Tilly, a sweet, happy, and smart 4 yr old Maltese mix gal ready for my furever home. I’ve had some bumps in my life, please read my original post a little further down our page about that. A little about me. I am a super cuddle bug who absolutely loves her humans. I love to dance and spin around when I’m excited. I just wiggle my butt and spin in circles when I know that you are home, or when we are getting ready to go o-u-t-s-i-d-e. I love going on brisk short walks, playing chase, and getting all the belly rubs I can, but my favorite thing in the world is sitting close to my human, like thisclose! Ha! I’m looking for a home where the human(s) are home more often than not, a work from home or retired family would be best for me. I am crate and potty trained, as long as I’m taken out regularly. I’m learning not to pull on the leash when we go on walks, and I need a patient Mommy or Daddy (or both!) to teach me more leash manners. I also love running around in the fenced in yard. I am a great lizard hunter, and will keep your yard free of squirrels, so it’s important that a human is there to watch over me. I love stuffies, and your stuffie is my stuffie, but a chew bone is quite welcome too. I am also a great guard dog and look out the window to keep you all safe from delivery workers and traveling salesmen. Ha! I had a rough start in my “previous” life, and my foster mommy has been working real hard with me to be the bestest puppers so that I can find my “fur” ever family. Maybe that’s you? I sure hope so! If you know I’m the girl for you, just visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application. Don’t forget to put my name, Tilly, on that paper. lol..Hope to meet you soon! 🐾❤️ More about Tilly: Tilly is good with the other dogs in the foster home, as long as she is the lead/alpha, she is being exposed to puppies and small dogs and is happy to watch them. We would love to see her new home with a doggy friend who is submissive and friendly of similar age or younger and size to play with. Tilly does express herself with her voice on walks and well as home and can get barky sometimes. She wants everyone to notice her and say hi, so she will require a single family home, no condos, apartments, townhouse or any home with shared walls. Thank you for understanding, as this is what’s best for her. She is the lead dog on the walks and will try to correct the other pups should they try to be the lead pup. Tiilly is spayed, current on her vaccinations, microchipped and current with flea and heartworm prevention. She will require grooming every 4-6 weeks, and grooming can run anywhere from $60.00-$120.00 per visit, so keep that in mind with your budget too! She does great with grooming and is patient in the bath. Does this sound like the girly for you? If so, please visit www.viprescue.org to fill out an adoption application. Adoption Requirements: You must be a Florida resident, and be at least 25 years of age to adopt. To qualify for adoption, all of the pets in your home must be spayed or neutered, be current on all vaccines, preventatives, and have received consistent veterinary care. If you’ve had more than one Vet in the past 3 years, please provide all the names and numbers for each vet. This breed typically lives 15-18 years, so please keep that lifespan in mind, as your age should be appropriate for the pet's estimated lifespan. All of us at VIP Rescue are Volunteers, with families, jobs and pets of our own, so please be kind and patient. We select the most fitting application for the dog, not necessarily the timeliest adoption application. Please make sure to read the entire bio of the pet you’re interested in before applying to adopt to make sure you meet the pet's needs. Thank you for thinking rescue. Story
PLEASE READ THE ANIMAL’S PROFILE AND ALL NOTES BELOW BEFORE APPLYING!   Hi… I’m Henry 🐾🤍 I’m an estimated 6-year-old Maltese mix with a big personality, a playful spirit, and a whole lot of love to give 🥺 I’m the kind of guy who wants to be wherever you are—whether that’s curled up on the couch, bouncing around the house, or heading out on a little adventure together. I’m super loving, sweet, and always ready to be part of whatever my people are doing. I love belly rubs, couch cuddles, giving kisses, and exploring the backyard like it’s my full-time job 💕 I’m playful, curious, and just adventurous enough to keep life fun—especially if there are lizards to investigate or squirrels to keep an eye on. I’m crate trained, leash trained, house trained, and easy to have around. I’m a wonderful companion dog who loves attention and likes being close to my people. I do get along with other dogs, but I can be a little particular about my personal space—especially if I’m cozy with my human—so I’d be happiest in a home where I can be the center of attention. ✨ My ideal home: • A loving family who wants a loyal little sidekick • A fenced yard (the bigger, the better!) for exploring • A home where I can be your main guy • Lots of walks, cuddles, belly rubs, and backyard adventures • Someone who appreciates a playful little personality 🤍 I’ve got a fun, rowdy side, a cuddly side, and a very loyal heart. If you’re looking for a sweet, adventurous companion who wants to be your little shadow and best friend… I’m your Henry 🐾✨ Adoption FEE: $400 which includes his neuter, microchip, and vaccines. It is also a donation to go directly back to us to help us continue to rescue more animals. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Dwight Some dogs make an entrance. Dwight quietly tiptoes into your heart. He's a shy, timid little puppy who's still figuring out that the world can be a safe place. Everything is new, and while he's curious, he's also incredibly cautious. What he does know is that he absolutely LOVES his people. If you could hold him 24 hours a day, he would be in heaven. Honestly, if Dwight could crawl inside your skin just to be closer to you, he probably would. "Cuddle bug" doesn't even begin to describe him. He's currently in a foster home with both big and small dogs. He peacefully coexists with them, but right now he's much more interested in finding comfort with his humans than playing. As he continues to gain confidence, we're excited to see more of his personality shine through. Dwight will thrive with a patient family willing to give him lots of one-on-one love as he comes out of his shell. He may do best as the only pet, where he can soak up all the attention. Because he's still so timid, he'll need a securely fenced yard or to always be walked on a leash-if he got scared and had the chance, he would likely run. The best part? He's already neutered, completely potty trained (not a single accident in his foster home!), and has the sweetest, gentlest old soul. If you're looking for a loyal little shadow who will love you with his whole heart, Dwight is waiting for you. Tampa Bay area Ready for his forever family. Story
Alex is an 8-year-old Maltese with a sweet, loving personality. He has been cherished his entire life & thrives on companionship & attention. He was originally adopted from a breeder by my in-laws, who adored him & made him a beloved member of their family. After my mother-in-law passed away earlier this year, Alex came to live with us. While we love having him, we’ve realized that with 2 other dogs & full-time work schedules, we can’t provide the companionship he truly enjoys. He loves car rides & is happiest simply being close to his person. He’s healthy, neutered, and up to date on all vaccinations. He’s a gentle little guy who rarely barks, although he has an adorable whimper or sigh while he sleeps. Alex has refined tastes-he’d happily choose broccoli or chicken breast over dog treats. We aren’t sure how he would do around cats or young children. We believe he would thrive with someone who around much of the day, someone looking for a companion to be by their side.
