Toby is an adorable and sweet dog. We have had him for 9 years since he was 8 weeks old. My father is blind and is living with me. Toby is playful and often gets in my dad’s way causing him to trip. Unfortunately a few months ago, Toby was diagnosed with diabetes and a heart murmur. Just a few days ago, I noticed a change in his vision. With my work schedule, dad’s health condition, and financial situation (single parent) I am unable to continue to care for Toby. I just wiggle my butt and spin in circles when I know that you are home, or when we are getting ready to go o-u-t-s-i-d-e. I love going on brisk short walks, playing chase, and getting all the belly rubs I can, but my favorite thing in the world is sitting close to my human, like thisclose! Ha! I'm looking for a home where the human(s) are home more often than not, a work from home or retired family would be best for me. I am crate and potty trained, as long as I'm taken out regularly. I'm learning not to pull on the leash and bark to alert you of any movement, when we go on walks, and I need a patient Mommy or Daddy (or both!) to teach me more leash manners. I also love running around in the fenced in yard. I am a great lizard hunter, and will keep your yard free of squirrels, so its important that a human is there to watch over me. I love stuffies, and your stuffie is my stuffie, but a chew bone is quite welcome too. More about Tilly: Tilly is good with the other dogs in the foster home, as long as she is the lead/alpha, she is being exposed to puppies and small dogs and is happy to watch them. We would do best as your one and only. Tilly does express herself with her voice on walks and well as home and can get barky sometimes. She wants everyone to notice her and say hi, so she will require a single family home, no condos, apartments, townhouse or any home with shared walls. Tiilly is spayed, current on her vaccinations, microchipped and current with flea and heartworm prevention. The world can feel pretty overwhelming sometimes, and I'm still learning that everything is going to be okay. New situations can make me nervous, and I don't always know how to express myself when I'm feeling scared. My foster believes I could do well with someone who works long hours, as long as my daily care and potty needs are met. I'm comfortable relaxing independently and don't mind having some quiet time to myself. My dream home would be with a small family of one to three people who enjoy a peaceful lifestyle. I'd especially love a home without young children, since sudden movements, loud noises, and lots of excitement can make me nervous. Bebop, an 7-8 year-old Havanese Maltese mix, is an independent and loyal companion who loves being close to his person after establishing a relationship. He did not have the best previous life so you will need a little patience while waiting for him to warm up/trust you. He enjoys lounging around the house, getting chin strokes and back scratches, and would prefer to be home with you, though he can be left alone for periods. While he isn't very playful with toys, he loves going on walks and is a great car rider. Bebop is treat-motivated, which makes him easy to adjust to new situations or surroundings. He does not get along with other dogs and will bark or growl if he sees them on walks, so he's best suited as the only dog in the home. Overall, Bebop is a laid-back dog who simply wants to relax by your side and get lots of love & treats. If kept on a strict potty break schedule, he is potty trained.
